on the news tonight 4 sangoma's were sentenced for crimes involving ritual murder and selling of body parts. Usually i would of ignored it or put it down to an isolated event but since i started researching african traditions i have learned that this is actually quite common. I don't know what to think anymore. I have never let myself be influenced by my research before but since i have realised how passionately these people feel about their beliefs it is shaking my morals. I have never experienced more dedication and commitment. It is almost childlike. I wish i could understand why life which is central to most beliefs can be so easily taken from another and how is it that anyone can believe that the only way to save one life is to take another. Who gets to choose which life is more important.
