Forum Guidelines

Please read the following rules and guidelines very carefully. By proceeding to post you agree to these guidelines and must obey them at all times. Refusal to obey these guidelines will result in the appropriate responsive actions. We have implemented the following guide for using our community forums. This guide is designed to strike a balance between the main goal of our forums, providing support, and keeping the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for the Sacred Magick Forums and community.

Be polite! We’re a friendly, welcoming community and want it to stay like that. Don’t be rude or abrasive. If you’re pleasant to others, they’ll be pleasant back. We all have disagreements now and again but we don’t insult people or get angry with them. Remember to be articulate and witty. We like that. Forget about being rude or mean, we don’t like that!

Have fun! but not at the expense of others! We like to have fun; we enjoy a laugh and a joke as long as that’s all it is. We don’t like the ridiculing of fellow community members. If you keep clear of doing that, we’ll keep clear of doing that to you.

Keep all your topics in the correct forums. When posting new topic please be specific and detailed.

The one post wonders that sign up to this site with the primary intention of posting garbage and "stirring the pot" will be banned immediately without warning. This sort of use will NOT be tolerated at any time. Generally, violating member will get 3 warnings and be put in 7 days moderation queue before permanently banned if violation persist.

You may not make personal attacks on other users or staff members either in public forums or private messages.

We don’t like SPAM! and we’re sure you don’t either. We’re proud of our site and want it to be the best. We don’t mind it if you’re from a competing site but we don’t like it if you spam your site here. So don’t advertise your site on ours and we won’t come and advertise our site on yours. We’re also not at all keen on you posting and asking for people to visit your site and become members. We wouldn’t do that to you so it’s only right you don’t do it to us.

Our moderators are a fine bunch, but you might not always agree with them and they may not always agree with you. If you do happen to disagree with something one of them has done, or your topic or post has vanished or moved with no explanation, don’t get all angry about it and begin posting rude messages. Instead, contact one of the Admins by PM and explain your point of view.
These things can generally be resolved pleasantly.

Users may not argue a moderators decision publicly. Any and all complaints directed at a moderator must first address the moderator in question via PM. If the problem can not be resolved, then the moderator and user must send their positions to the forum admins. The forum admins will make or change any and/or all final decisions.

Spell begging are allowed only for members with at least 30 posts or more.

Be a friend, mentor, teacher and student as an effort to fill in the blanks of our limited knowledge with other members. However, everyone has rights to be respected of their own beliefs and we do not tolerate preachings of dogmatic views and closed minded fanatics.

Please do NOT accept information you read on this forum or any other page in this website as gospel. Instead, read, learn, study some more, then form your own conclusion.

Sometimes, people might post an inappropriate topic or reply, or it may be in a place where a Moderator hasn’t noticed it. If you stumble across one of these, we’d be grateful if you would use the Report Post to Moderator feature. You don’t need to respond to the post saying it’s in the wrong place or not really acceptable. Just report it and we’ll deal with it.

Like you, we enjoy signatures and don’t mind anyone having them, but try to keep them reasonable. Huge signatures (more than 600x100 pixels) can get really annoying, especially to those on dial-up. Please note that this includes lines of text and/or images.

Any messages you post will stay available to the public for as long as this discussion board is online. Please post carefully, once you have posted your message, it is here to stay. We will not edit the content you wrote unless it does not conform to these guidelines.

Finally be friendly. If you’re friendly and polite, you’ll fit right in!
