In my dream:

It starts with me lying in a bed, people standing over me (3 relatives and a friend). Then without warning they disapear. A door to my right opens, I walk outside. The place looks like the parking lot outside my house, but there is smoke and the place glows like theres a fire but no flames. I walk down some stairs and I look and see that the parking lot was broken off where a building should be. A gust of wind picks me up and I get closer to the edge, where it broke off, and I see water. Another gust of wind picks me up and I go over the edge and wake up. What does it mean?

you forget the most important factors in dream recognition.
How did you feel when you saw everything glowing.
How did you feel when you saw that the parking lot was broken.
How did you feel when the gust of wind picked you up.
How did you feel when you got closer to the edge and saw the water.
How did you feel when you woke up.

The key is in your emotions. And also, do you feel any similar emotions in your current life. They are often tied, and can clarify things.

i can try to clarify, if you can answer the above questions, but a dream is best solved by the dreamer himself. That and you may not feel completely comfortable sharing your deepest emotions here, wich is understandable.

Could be many things, but they will be personal to you and what is happening for you in your life right now.

I found this link for general starting points to the symbolism of dreams, I have no idea of its accuracy, but it may be worth a look: http://www.dreammoods.com/

well, there you have it.
Something in your life is making you feel scared. The former stability you enjoyed is making way for uncertainty. You fear perhaps that the people you count on are leaving you alone with these troubles (=they disapeared)
Perhaps you are facing something that you want to walk away from, but you can't (=the edge).

I don't know for certain naturally. But this should give you a clue.
It seems you have some ordeal to face. Perhaps you are trying to run from it, then this dream may show you that runing is not wise, that it only delays it. Since even the wind was pushing you towards the edge.
perhaps it is just a warning.
perhaps it is just a dream.
perhaps you are already feeling that way in real life, and the dream just shows your feelings once more. Without any added meaning.

Thats what i make of it, but i may be completely wrong. It is best to see for yourself how this fits into your real life situation.
And remember, not all dreams mean something.

I agree. I have found this site to be really good. Just type in the main subjects of your dream. But remember sometimes it may not be completely accurate. For instance if you have a dream about birds and you are afraid of birds, your dream isn't going to mean that you have the need to be free lol. Sometimes it helps to make your own dream dictionary. if you find yourself dreaming about cirtain things alot, write them down and write how they personally make you feel. It can help a lot
