It is helpful to treat each evocation of the Goetia as a completely valid act. (I.e. successful), many times you will not recognize the presence at first. Whether one is there or not you should still provide a charge (task) and a reward offered if the task it completed. Release the spirit even if you don't think you are releasing anything.

I found that my tasks were completed and the spirit was indeed present before I could totally recognize it. If you summon it multiple times without asking for anything, offering any reward, or releasing it, you are in a way being rather sloppy.

What reason does he have to appear again when the last time he showed up all he got to do was watch you play X-Box for a few hours after your conjuring.

Would you report to your job for months if all your boss gave you nothing to do and you received no paycheck?

Thats a really good point.

Also remember you may just get the feeling he is there. It may be a warmth, an intuition, a breeze that blows over your face, a candle flame that flickers...

Honestly the advise in that post is the best you could get... You must act as though he is there, and with time you will be able to recodnise when he infact is.

Also have you ever considered forgoing with some of the pre-ritual rituals? I know if I spent 30 minutes in ritual before even calling an entity i would be to tired of doing ritual to talk to the entity.

I suggest just doing an LBRP, and mabey a BRH. Then just keep calling him. Try an invocation, and then wait for a moment and see if you sense him there.. then do it again if nessecary.

Just a few thoughts...

Skinwalker I may or may not have stated before that in my past evokations of Ose I did give a task and offered a reward after the task was completed.

As far as my ritual layout is looking I will not be using the LBRP I will be using the LIRP. As I was looking at my rituals reading my logs and reading the Book of Solomons Magick, why use a banishing ritual when I will be invoking someone. The lesser ritual of the pentagram is used to call down the four great ArchAngels of the quarters, why would I use the banishing version when I want them to be down here with me during my evokation of Ose.

For the rest of you who have been following this post I am one week away from my conjuring of Ose I have everything set up, I have started to fast and for this conjuring I will be using a "reciever". I will have a new post after my conjuring of Ose.

You need to re-examine what the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram does..

The pentagam ritual calls the archangels whether it is used as a banishing or invocation. Besides the pentagram ritual is not used to banish angels at all(one can't do that anyhow as one doesn't have the authority to banish angels). The pentagrams are used to exert authority over earthbound(not heavenly) entities and elemental energy/beings. Demons fit into the earthbound catagory so...

There is another purpose of the pentagrma ritual but that purpose is outsifde of the scope of this topic and would also begin the topic of the hexagram rituals.

Just a bit offtopic, sorry, but, what do you mean one doesn't have the authority to banish angels? If I'm not mistaken, weren't the angels made to bow before Adam in the bible? Although the angels are made of light, and us of earth, angels are created for the purpise they're created for, unlike us, who truly have free will, and power. Just some interferance. I don't know where the idea that angels do not have free-will comes from. There are many stories where the angels decide to do things on their own, especially in the gnostic texs and the Book of Enoch. You see that also in Dee's diaries, though their main purpose is to do God's will. They are the fingers of god so to speak, and because of that we must yield to them as they know god's plan more readily than we. To put it shortly, they outrank us.

Being catholic, and not a practitioner of enochian, I think I'll stick to the bible (Which is much older than some guys journal) in which case they're made to kneel before man, therefore if one wants, can banish them. Meh, to each his own.

ok we are alittle bit off topic here, but its cool i dont mind. I know I said in my last post that I would have the results of my conjuring of Ose, but I do at times like to log on and see how my topic is comming, and im only a few days away from Conjuring him.

Being a Christian I will have to side with SangueDiNapoli on this one. The Bible states that God gave the Command to the Angels to serve and protect the humans. If you dont want to read the Bible about it then I suggest one read Paradise Lost. In this book Lucifer believes that since Angels "out rank us" then we should serve them. So Lucifer used his free will to gather an army of Angels who believed the same thing and they all chose to stand against God and they were all punished for it.

Angels yes do have free will, but within limits. For example if I didnt want St. Michael standing too close to me I would tell him to take a few steps back and he would, because if wasnt only me who told him to but it was God who told him to. Gods command to the Angels is Serve and Protect.

So yes we do have a right to Banish the Angels if we wanted, because God said that they have to listen to us. I would never want to banish an Angel, or even a demon like Ose for example. Angels are here to help us banishing them seems to disrespectfull. Bid them hail and fairwell and ask them to come again. Atleast this is the way I see it.

I think I am being misunderstood. When I say that one can't banish angels, it doesn't mean that they will not answer your requests say if one wishes to be alone. One only has to ask the angels to step aside, and as long as there is no harm in it, they will depart.. However one needs to remember that they are the fingers of god and sometimes it is us who are in their way. If we are asking them to depart and it is their will(god's will) to be there, than no matter how many hexagram or pentagram rituals one does isn't going to make much a of a difference.

So in short, the angels are to serve us(possibly as is stated in the bible) but more importantly to do God's will. Plus I don't put much faith in the xian bible. There seems to be a vast difference from the old testiment and the new testiment with how God is perceived and the divine order. Since my practice stems from the old testiment concepts of divinity and the qabalah I tend to see god just a terrible as it is good. In fact the angels aren't all sugar and spice either... But this my opinion and experience thus far.

But as SangueDiNapoli said earlier, "to each there own"

Ok my people this is what you have all been waiting for, I thank you all for your clicking and viewing this post. Friday April 14, 2006 at 10:00pm was the time of the conjuring.

This time I used someone to act as a "reciever". He is a cool and close friend of mine who has been a medium for many years, so when I asked him to do this he was very excited.

After I read the first Conjuration I asked if he had a presence "no he replied"

I read the first conjuration for a second time "do you have a presence" he replied "yes" but then he lost it.

I read the first Conjuration for a third time (third times a charm) "do you have a presence" "yes" he replied. Then I said "Ose is that you" I heard Chris (my reciever) say in a very soft voice "yes" but then he lost the presence again.

I then started to read the Conjuration of the King. Half way through reading it Chris started to shake so I stoped and asked if he got anything, he said yes but then he lost it again(notice a pattern here.. I do). We threw in the towel after that because Chris was starting to get tired. I did the LBRP went in the other room with Chris so we could talk about the ritual and what we are gonna do next time so we can have alittle more success next time. Here is what we came up with.

-instead of him kneeling he will be sitting on a stool(alittle more comfortable possition and focuss better)

-I will not be asking "do you have a presence" Chris said he kept loosing focuss everytime I asked that

-I will not have the room lit with soo many candles (too bright for chris)

In two weeks time during the new moon I will try to conjure him again with my medium chris there. I am contimplating on if I should wait for next full moon to try it again, let me know what you think.

I would like to share with all of you a poem that was writen through my medium Chris in a DRAW DOWN he had when we were meditating on our next conjuration of Ose. I thought it was cool and it touched me very much.

Echo from across the Dark Land:

The wheat stirs in the breeze, already heavy. It is summer. It is night. The Moon is full.

Through the wheat He comes striding, twice its height, and black as night. Horns curl at the sides of His head; vast wings are at His back.

He smiles.

He comes to you and embraces you warmly. Not only His strong arms, but the wings too gather around you. Covered with a nap as soft as velvet, these wings: you could snuggle into it forever.

"I am the Night," He whispers into your ear. "I am the Night your Lover. I will never leave you. I will be with you always, everywhere, and in all ways. I am the Night your Lover." But then He says "But I am also the Devourer. Remember that as well." And He bites you -- a little nip -- to make you remember.

And then He vanishes, leaving you standing there, naked in the moonlight, your skin glowing white as the Moon Herself. There is a tingle on your neck where He bit you, a growing tingle. When it gets to your shoulder you can see what it is: your skin is turning black.

The blackness spreads across you as the shadow on the Moon: She wanes, and when She is dark, you too are all black. And taller; horns curl at the sides of your head, vast wings spread at your back.

And when the Moon is full again, You will go striding through the wheat, until You encounter someone; You will embrace that person with Your strong arms, and with Your velvety wings.

"I am the Night," You will say. "I am the Night your Lover."

Keep checkin I Conjure Ose tomorro night.

Good luck brethren! I found Ose to be an interesting mutherf*cker, in that he was very eager to perform the task I had set out for him (In a sense, he helped me form the task...or more precisely, I had what I wanted, and he helped me refine it, before the conjuration) , and that his energy can get rather intense, rather quickly (not dangerous....just imagine going from 0-60 in like three seconds). I'm not sure if this is a "Geotic" thing, or just his thing, but he also likes to come up close to you.....so the way you "frame" the encounter (Demon/Evil, Dark Entity/Spirit) would probably play into how well your experience goes with him.

Also, I wouldn't say he's a "demon" per se....but he's definatly a dark enitity, and I could definatly see him causing some f*cked up shit to happen if it was in his interest to do so....but I just don't get "Evil" from him. Point blank, I've been around a scarier entity.

I've worked with him twice so far in regards to my Self-Image Project (once really, but the first time I wasn't prepared fully, so I banished him, and evoked him the next day), and I can honestly say that in my limited experience with him, he's shown himself to be a more than prompt spirit; exact, efficient, "amicable", and VERY helpful in my case, and I definatly would recommed working with him to everyone. I also would recommend not to turn your back on him, or just leave him lying around, just based on his energy alone (Which isn't bad really, just...hmmm...not something you want to leave lying around. You'll see what I mean). I guess that's a quality that can be related to all strange entitie's you never worked with before, but you get my point.

All in all friend, great spirit which does great work, good luck, and I can't wait to read your results :-)

My brothers and sisters I will no longer be posting my progress with Ose here onto this chat forum. Sorry. For the time being I will be keeping two seperate journals an online one and a private one (the private one having more details offcourse). If you have AOL then you can have unlimited access to my online journal here is the address

http://journals.aol.com/goeticmagic57/ModernDayMage/

thank you to all who gave me advice, and who were patient with me.

I hope you all check my online journal as much as you have checked out this one.
