I strongly recommend you make the gate of Marduk on a heavy parchment or poster board. Make the gate 9 inches x 9 inches. Inside the center square of the gate draw the seal of Marduk. Now each time you call one of the 50 names make his seal on white paper. Do not draw a circle around the sigil. It is important that you leave the sigil open so that the spirit can fully manifest. It’s a good idea to say an exorcism in the place of calling to clean out negative energy. I recommend the short Exorcism Of The Place Of Calling pg 99 Necronomicon. Followed by The Exorcism Of The Crown Of Anu pg 78 Necronomicon. Say the conjuration of the Fire God pg 65. If you have a Watcher say the Preliminary invocation pg 71 Necronomicon. If not simply begin burning the bread that will be your sacrifice to the spirit called. Now say the calling pg 13 of Necronomicon Spellbook. Fill in the blanks with the name and word of calling.

Enki was the first born and most powerful son of Anu. An illegitimate child was he. His father was Anu. His mother was not the Queen of the gods.

Enlil was the second born of Anu. The magick of Enlil was not as great of that of Enki. However he was the rightful son of the queen of the Gods. So he was destined to become king himself.
.
Enki in his great wisdom foresaw that the war with the ancient ones that would come. In fact Enki may have even instigated the war as he placed a magick spell on the husband of Tiamat. <ABSU> The Necronomicon Book of Magan says the Elder Gods put the spell on him on pg 155. However the Enuma Elish attributes this to my master Enki. He put Kutulu to sleep and took his power. His power became the power of Apsu. Tiamat in her fury decided to destroy the Elder race. Enki had struck the first blow. A wise blow it was. For if Kutulu had fought side by side with Tiamat the Elders would have been doomed.

Enki was more powerful than his father Anu. Enki in his wisdom knew that his son would be more powerful than Enki. And so he went about the business of making a son.

That son he knew would one day claim the throne of the Gods. Enki is the father of foresight. Marduk with four eyes. When he laughed it was the sound of 1000 thunders. As a toddler he towered above the tallest God. His size was enormous.

At the death of her husband the unborn one screamed in anger. Tiamat spawned twelve great monsters to do battle. Tiamat spawned unfathomable monsters. Their legions were uncounted. Their numbers were unheard of and unknown.
Mighty Kingu was the leader of the great 12 monsters and commander of the army of ancient ones.

Enki advised his son to fight as champion of the gods against Tiamat. However only under the agreement that each of the 50 great gods would give him a power and that Marduk would be king of the Gods.

Tiamat’s magick was so great the Elder Gods cowered in fear and were afraid to fight her. The 50 greatest Gods bowed before Lord Marduk and each gave him their greatest power. And so he is king unto this day. Praise be to Lord Marduk champion of the Gods!

Enki gave Marduk a magick arrow and a magick spell. Marduk loosed the magick spell which blew a great wind prying Tiamat’s mouth open. Then Marduk shot the magick arrow down her throat. She was doomed. He cut her in half with his axe and created the heavens and Earth from her body.

He then created man with the blood of Kingu. He mixed clay with the blood of Kingu the commander of Tiamat’s army. Enki blew his breath into the clay and man came to life.

It should be noted the actions of Enki. He did not attack his brother and take the throne rightly his. Devised it was so that his son Marduk would be king. He honored his son. The same great love which Enki showed towards his son he also shows to the priest of Marduk.

As the priest of the Necronomicon is of the spirit of Marduk.

So be it!

Hello Smasher666,

I didn't exactly understand what you want to discuss in this thread. The only part of the Simon book I've used is the list of 50 names (and sigils). I've evoked a few of the 50 names, using a mix of a) the Spellbook format and b) GD rituals and c) the Goetia circle/triangle. It works fine, though they are a little more stubborn to leave than the Goetias.

As for results, I had one giving some result (although not 100%) and another totally failed, actually the exact opposite happened.

Hello Smasher666,

Hello Grab,

Here I intend to go through the 50 names and tell of my experiances with them as well as any enlightening information that I can offer. My experiances and knowledge of use for many of the 50 names goes outside of what is written in the Necronomicon spellbook.

I am positive that Ashnook and Nero as well as other accomplished Ceremonial magicians or perhaps some like me more akin to sorcery can tell us more based on thier personal experiances with the 50 names. Everyone is welcome to post here on their personal experience with the 50 names. My goal is to extend knowledge of the uses of these spirits beyond what is in the Spellbook.

In this thread I am looking for any knowledge about the use of the 50 names outside of what is written in the text. Interesting personal experiences and useful information.

Good Hunting!

Enuma Elish

Marduk is one
He is the son of the sun
Pasture and pool
and the byres full
torrents of rain that hammered the enemy
most shining one
son of the sun
the gods are walking always in the flame of his light
he created man
a living thing
to labor forever, and gods go free
to make to break
to love and to save
to Marduk all power and praise!

Marduk is the first name. Mahr-dook

His word of calling is Dugga Doog-gah

The sigil looks like a fish hook, staff, cane or upside down letter J. A fish hook is a good representation for one who hooked the sea dragon leviathan. Marduk is not to be openly invoked unless you have passed the Marduk gate. It is best to invoke him only if your life is threatened. This symbol however I have found to share much in common with the Agga. Both are powerful symbols that can open your mind to all magick. You have to remember the seal to make them it effective. If you can hold the seal of Marduk in your minds eye in white light you can tap into its powers. The same can be said about all the seals and sigils of the Necronomicon. Magick is in remembrance…..

If you want to get full benefit of the 50 names without the danger which comes with working with spirits; it would be wise to develop a personal relationship with Marduk the king of the gods.

Prayer to Marduk. Scribed by Edunpanna.

Lord Marduk speak to me!
O great Dugga accept me as your priest!
I will serve you always!
May I both in life and death,
Make the greatest sacrifice to you,
Lord Marduk supreme master of all !

The ceremonial magician who is sworn to Yahweh may find with a little research that Yahweh and Marduk are indeed the same God. Marduk and Yahweh or Jehovah had a common name of Iahu. In both Sumerian and Hebrew it means exalted dove. In the book of Job there is a historical account of creation as opposed to the Poetic account found in Genesis. In which Yahweh kills the dragon Leviathan which was the sea and creates the Heavens and Earth from its body. Also in the book of Job the underworld is placed beneath the sea as it is in the Necronomicon. Absu is the great deep realm of Enki which he gained power over when he put the spell on the god ABSU. The Necronomicon hell is beneath Absu or perhaps a place in Absu. The Hebrew correlations exist because as it tells us in the book of Genesis Abram or Abraham came from UR of the Chaldea’s. So then Abraham was of the Sumerian race.

Until you have passed Marduk Gate you may only call Marduk if life is threatened. Otherwise you will render all of the 50 names useless. It is forbidden.

The 2cnd name of Marduk is Marukka . Mahr-ook-kah

He has no word of calling however vibrating the name EA in mantra fashion will help greatly.

Enuma Elish

Marukka is two
Hammering out the whole creation
To ease the gods in tribulation.

From what is written in the Enuma Elish this is the power that Marduk used to create the universe. So not surprising that it knows all things. This spirit I equate to the Holy spirit.

This spirit knows all things. Difficult to summon. A time of purification greatly helps. There is no word of calling. This spirit is summoned by the force of your desire. Meaning your will and faith must be strong.

Many of the sigils look like stick figure sketches of other things. In this case it could be a kneeling priest stretching his arms over head in prayer. Which befits this spirit who will know your heart and innermost thoughts. Also it resembles a Trident. The sign of Neptune god of the sea who definitely connects to Enki.

I have called this spirit many times. Like the fourth spirit Barashakushu Marukka answers prayers.

Marukka identified itself to me as the power given by Enki to his son Marduk to know all things. Enki is the source of knowledge that dwells in the center of the light. After calling Marukka I had a vision in which I ran to Enki in the center of the light. When I got there <in the center of the light> it was dark. Surprised I said "Master Enki why is it dark in the center of the light?" Answering with a riddle as often he does he said "Thus it is determined by a higher order." In my mind I then suddenly understood. Before there is light there is darkness. Enki is a light maker and so he dwells in dark Absu.

This spirit can answer all questions and has healing powers. By holding his sigil in your minds eye like the Agga you tap the brain into the mysteries of Magick

The 3rd name of Marduk is Marutukka Mahr-oot-ook-koo

No word of calling is given but this spirit is likely to appear if you just say his name. Very easily summoned! Or if still no answer vibrate the name Michael.

I could probably write a small book about this spirit but I will try to keep it as short as possible.

Enuma Elish

Marutukku is three.
his praises are held on every hand.
the armed child who defends the land.

Indeed as the Enuma Elish says I can not say enough good about Marutukka. To say the very least I owe this spirit my life.
I carried his seal on parchment paper in my wallet for over a year. On the back of the seal I had written a prayer for protection from attackers. I got a service call in Queens 9:00pm at night the address turned out to be in the projects. <I am a self employed electrician> I was talking to the guy who called me via cell phone and the address he was giving me I could not find. <Later searching for it with yahoo maps I learned that it was not a real address.> He kept asking me where I was and I would tell him to which he would respond that I was on the wrong side of an overpass. I kept going back and forth looking for this address and could not find it. I called again and started talking to him and then I noticed a guy on the other side of the street looking around and talking on a cell phone. I asked him if he was standing on the corner and he replied that no he was not on the street. However the guys mouth was moving in sync to his words across the street. Then at this second in time my cell phone mysteriously died. I could not help but notice that the guy across the street looked like a friend of mine <MIlton> who had recently been murdered. This along with my cell phone dying left me feeling like perhaps I was in danger. I backed into the shadows and observed a car full of hood rats pull up and talk to the guy on the corner who pointed to the other side of the underpass. The car did a u-turn and headed that way. I decided to get the hell out of there. After all it is most unwise to bring a knife to an apparent gun fight. <Hoodlums in NYC rob at gun point.> As I jumped on the subway to return to Manhattan I sat down and pulled out Marutukka's seal. It split in half in my hands. Apparently its magick had been spent.
Maruttuku who I call the Angel Michael as he revealed himself to me seems to be a power which brings blessing protection and prosperity.
I have communicated with this spirit many times. Like my friend Suhrim sometimes he shows up un-invoked to chat. I have studied martial arts and the use of weapons for about the last 10 years. Marutukka has taught me many useful fighting techniques to be used in the physical world as well as the astral.

Lets notice that the text says Marutukka chained the mad god in combat. Sounds kind of like Michael when he chains Satan.
Indeed this spirit has identified himself to me as the angel Michael. It’s safe to guess that Michael is older than the Hebrews and that he might have had a name before Abraham left from Ur of the Chaldea’s. If so then his name was Marutukka.
Marutukka prefers that the Saint Michael candles be burned to him. Write the Agga Arra and Bandar along with the sign of Marutukka on the candle along with your prayer. Indeed like many of these noble spirits Marutukka the mighty answers prayers.

Lets look at the shape of his seal. The hook at the top resembles a helmeted man facing your left <his right> with a shield your left <his right> holding a sword over head in his left hand <your right> The circle at the bottom is representative of flying. Or another way to look at the seal is he has two wings one beating downward and the other upwards.

He appeared to me with the sigil of Asarualimnunna on his shield and a great flaming sword. He is the greatest warrior among the 50 next to Marduk.

His praises are indeed on every hand!

Lets also compare Marutukka to the angel of the Quran Marut. Indeed this mighty Arch Angel has many names. He is a great warrior among the Gods. I expect Marutukka / Marut / Michael will be leading the charge in the final battle. Until that day let us strengthen our souls in preparation for the defense of the Earth.
Michael means who is as God. In that God or Marduk is a mighty warrior so is Michael.

This spirit is good for just about any difficulty in life. He brings with him many blessings.

Thanks to Ashnook, who advised me on this, i prayed to and used the spell book for Angel BARASHAKUSHU and can tell you that i feel much better... I can even say that a newbie can safely invoke him with the words "Come to Me by the Powers of the Word BAALDURUU"....
Thanks Ashnook (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif) and my Respects to BARASHAKUSHU.

Edunpanna, as you are comparing the Nec. spirits with christian named angels, i would like some lightening or comparison to Eastern(Indian) myths..
Well The most supreme God of the Indian myth is SHIVA... There are some things that can be similar with sanskrit and sumerian languare, so anyone has an idea if he is one og the elder gods from the nec. ???

Greetings Mystick / Ses Musgal Pasapa,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Barashakushu. I would like to hear from as many as possible their experiences with the 50 names.

Let me say that I have gained a bit of enlightenment from study of Indian myth but I have not studied it as much as I would like to. Shiva I equate with Lord Marduk. Krishna in my mind is Shammash. Agni without a doubt is the fire God Gibil.

I love Ganesh and for some reason an idol of him is very very often in homes that I visit applying my trade as an electrician. Ganesh I identify with the spirit Ziku # 15. I have visited Hindu temples in New York where indeed his spirit I felt. He is believed to be able to remove any obstacle.

It is very evident to me that God is in all religions. There are many different paths for many different people but all those paths lead to the same place. God is wise. Man is foolish. We fight retarded holy wars and spill blood in the name of God. However God has forsaken all who commit such evil.

Let me tell you an interesting story about Agni. A friend of mine from India and I were once discussing Agni the fire god with. I told her that Agni was in my book <which I always carry in my back pocket in case of need.> She was interested and asked me to show her. I spoke the invocation of the fire god on her front porch and she was pleased by it. However I seem to have somehow spoofed. Two night later in the apartment next door to hers someone left the stove unattended and fire broke out. I heard about the fire and ran 8 Manhattan blocks through Washington Hieghts to check on her. The fire department tried to stop me as they had the street blocked off but I managed to sneak past them. I was relieved to find her and that she was ok. I was like crap I cant believe that I said that conjuration on your front porch and your place burnt up! She was quite shocked and found it to be a weird coincidence herself.

Word to the wise! Do not say the invocation of the fire god on anyones front porch!

Shiva I view as Marduk. Vishnu I see is Enki. Brahma I know as Anu. Kali as Lilith.

The Gods have many names and many faces.

Peace!

The 4th name of Marduk is Barashakushu Bah-rah-shah-koo-shoo

His word of calling is Baalduru Bah-ahl-doo-roo.

Perhaps more so than any of the other 50 names this spirit has touched my heart. Once again this is a spirit who truly answers prayers. I can not think of words kind enough to describe this spirit!

Enuma Elish

Barashakushu is the fourth.
Who stood at need to bridle earth.
His spirit stoops,
His heart is love.

Barashakushu is in the business of curing the sick and saving lives. I have given this seal written on parchment or used his seal on Saint candles with written prayers many times for many people. So far every time Barashakushu gets up to bat he has hit a grand slam! To many cases to mention all here but I will tell you the one that seems the greatest to me.

Five years ago my friend Elizabeth was fighting with her husband <My friend Hector>. She had discovered that Hector was cheating on her so she spent the night on my couch. She could not sleep so I gave her some Tylenol pm's.
The next day I returned from work to find blue vomit everywhere and Elizabeth was no longer her golden Hispanic skin color she had turned yellow! I called Hector who left his job <Electrical wiring of airplanes> to come and get her. Meanwhile I called the poison control center to ask what I should do. Whether I should give her milk or water or what. The idiots at the poison control center did not know what to tell me other than call 911. The lady was nice enough to tell me that if Elizabeth had swallowed 120 Tylenol pm gel caps that she was going to die. Now that’s our tax dollars at work? I might have gotten better advice if I had called a monkey.

Elizabeth had succeeded in destroying her liver. The doctors told us that she needed a liver transplant. However because cocaine had been detected in her blood stream and because there was a high demand for livers with a short supply she was denied a liver transplant. They told her to have her family visit her etc because she was going to die due to liver complications. I am not a doctor but from what I remember it had to do something with some kind of count of something in the bloodstream that related to the health of the liver. The doctors performed this test every so many hours and the liver count continued to get worse and worse. The head nurse told us that she was definitely going to die. To see my friend in such pain and know that there was no hope my heart broke and I began to cry.

I always carry a copy of the Necronomicon in my back pocket. I carry it until the book begins to fall apart and then buy another. Everywhere I go the Necronomicon goes with me. So I pulled the Necronomicon from my pocket and began to focus on the seal and pray to Barashakushu. My brother another disciple of Simons Necronomicon showed up at the hospital to help. Everyone in my coven has learned Pranic Vampirism. Vampirism might be a very misleading name for this skill. Reverse vampirism is similar to Reiki. Instead of feeding off of the energy of another you push your energy into that person. We prayed to Barashakushu and I made his seal. Only one person was allowed to stay with her at night by hospital regulations. My brother is full blooded Native American. He is half Papago and half Pima Indian. He is a powerful medicine man and healer. So the first night my brother stayed in the hospital with Elizabeth. I went home and did magick. I called Barashakushu in the manner described in the Necronomicon Spellbook. I also performed the Exorcism Against The Possessing Spirit pg 86 of the Maklu text. Although this is an exorcism for some reason it works wonders with healing people. Hector stayed with her during the following day. That night it was my turn. She needed help to go to the bathroom because she was in so much pain she had trouble walking. That night I used reverse Vampirism or Reiki if you like that term better all night. She slept and I prayed to my master Enki and Barashakushu. I felt the presence of Barashakushu strongly but still the situation seemed hopeless. If a doctor tells you that you are going to die basically you are in deep sh_t. So I was feeling rather hopeless. The next morning my Hector relieved me and I went home to sleep sad that my friend would soon depart from the land of the living. My brother Indio took the next night shift. He concentrated on the seal that I had made and worked his Shamanistic magick which is different from my way but somehow still the same. The next morning the doctors were shocked that her liver count had miracously started getting better. Her liver was healing itself. Her liver completely healed and after a short stay in the mental ward which is standard in suicide attempt cases she was released. For any of you who do not think what happened was a miracle all I can say is that you have never come home to find a yellow woman covered in blue vomit on your floor. Indeed Barashakushu is the worker of miracles!

To me the seal looks like two eyes surrounded by an x and a reversed c or perhaps a funky pair of sunglasses. I have worked with Barashakushu many times and he has identified himself to me as the angel Gabriel.
Gabriel means the strength of God. The strength of God is indeed love of which Barashakushu knows no boundaries.
Time and time again I have called this spirit and seen many people healed.
I hope that perhaps someone who reads this will take to heart what I have said and remember it in time of need. Remember that this spirit is in the business of saving lives!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) For the time i'm newbie.. so invocation of fire God is not for now!!!
By the way i Know that Religion did not create the Gods as well as the names given to them.... God Existed.. People have used different names in different religions... I without any regret say prayers to Gods from the Hindu/Christian/Muslim/NEC (since recently) at a single time...

However for invocation and evocations, eastern and western methods differ.... the eastern ones are more difficult to do... imagine doing a mantra of 20 words 1250000 times compared to the few minutes of LBRP,Middle pillar, evocation etc.... which can be done easily in 1 hr... The only difference i see is that the Eastern evocations are done to get Great powers etc but since recently i have found that with other systems, if a proper purification is done and the proper entity chosen, Gods and Spirits can be as generous in assigning these boons...

Theres is 1 thing that intringues me... in Eastern tantra, the Kundalini is the awakening of the dormant "Serpant" that is connected to the 7 (i think) energy centers ... and the total awakening leads to divine enlightenment... However isnt this related to the sleeping serpent dreaming below earth from the necronomicon???? And isnt this on the negative end???

As for shiva, i was matching him to Marduk too.. But i am not so sure... Still if one could enlighten me more on this... May be when i'll start evocations i will try to ask the all knowing spirits about this...
however shiva is also know as the Holy Spirit, the destroyer of evil, and the creator of new life, and sustainer of life, the cosmic lord.

I have never had any complications from invoking the fire God when done in the proper settings in midst of ritual. Perhaps I was very foolish to invoke him on someone doorstep / front porch. The doorstep has long been believed to be a powerful place to work black magck against the doorsteps owner. Evidently rightly so.

In my mind Shiva is Marduk. Marduk is the creator and can also be a destrroyer. Marduk is also Zues, Jupiter, Thor, Yahweh, Jehovah, and Allah.

The 5th name of Marduk Luggaldimmerankia Loog-gahl-deem-meyr-ahn-kee-yah.

His word of calling is Banutukku. Bahn-oo-took-koo.

Lets first note that the word of calling Banutukku is much like the 17th name Tuku.

Enuma Elish

Lugaldimmerankia is five,
King of the cosmos!
Over the universe he is acclaimed!

What a noble spirit he must be to be acclaimed all over the universe! I have my thoughts about what angelic being this might be but as it has not been revealed to me as of yet I will hold my tongue.
Update I have received confirmation since originally writing this and may now say that this spirit is the same as Raphael.

One thing cool about this spirit is when I close my eyes and envision the sigil in white light <as I do with all the signs of the Necronomicon> The sign moves rapidly twitching like a dragonfly in flight.

The two circles hang like eyes or perhaps antennas. The two arms in the front seem to be pushing something away. <Perhaps our difficulties?> It is the wing extending upward that moves most rapidly in my minds eye. Its wings flap so fast I can almost not see them. Like a humming bird.

The text in the spell book speaks truly. Indeed he can help you sort out difficult issues. He also has uses other than what is given. Lets keep in mind that these spirits are very powerful and are bound to have many uses far beyond what I can tell you. Like the 6th and 7th name saying his word of calling Banutukku can be most helpful. If in danger say Banutukku and he will rush to your aid. He is very easily summoned. His energy is, quite loving. Yet this is a spirit like Marutukku, who will at your beckoning jump, right in and attack whatever demons or negative spirits might be attacking you. He definitely has some sort of connection with the 17th name Tuku as Lugaldimmerankia is wonderful to protect you from enemies and black magick.

In Sumerian mythology, the utukku were a type of spirit or demon that could be either benevolent or evil. The evil utukku were called Edimmu or Ekimmu; the good utukku were called shedu. The utukku were supposed to do the will of Anu, the god of the heavens. There were Utukku of the plain, the mountains, the sea, and the grave. The Edimmu. This is generally, but wrongly, read Ekimmu, and translated "the seizer," from êkemu, "to seize." In reality, however, it was an ordinary spirit, and the word is used for the wraiths of the departed. The "evil Edimmu" was apparently regarded as attacking the middle part of a man.

Ban seems to mean banish.
Raphael means the divine healer or God heals. In this it makes one wonder about the possible healing powers of Lugaldimmerankia. It is wise to note that often demonic forces are responsible for sickness. So the use of Lugaldimmerankia to fight demonic forces for a sick person is most prudent.

No wonder all over the universe he is acclaimed!

The 6th name is Nariluggaldimmerankia Nahr-eel-oog-gahl-deem-meyr-ahn-kee-yah
His word of calling is Banrabishu bahn-rah-bee=shoo

Enuma Elish

Nari is six the deliverer
he is our conscience
for once in our trouble
he brought us peace
and a safe haven
Anunnaki, igigi from the pit
hearing this name secretly quake.

Lets first note that Nari seems to be short for Nariluggaldimmerankia.

The shape of this sigil reminds me much of the Native American firebird of even the phoenix. The right side looks like an open beak. The circle at the bottom as with many of these seals denotes flight.

As the text states simply saying the word Banrabisu is a good way to get rid of negative feelings bad energys etc. Nari is summoned easily at the mere sound of his name. If you are in a dangerous situation recite Banrabisu over and over like a mantra. Banrabisu-banrabisu-banrabisu-banrabisu-banrabisu-Banrabishu. Nari will rush to your aid.

Rabisu means demon. The rabisu is regarded as a spirit which lay in wait to pounce upon his prey. Ban seems to mean banish.

In a vision I saw this spirit as a giant black crow that swallowed demons whole. No matter how big the demon was Nari would easily swallow it.

No wonder the Anunnaki and Igigi quake at his name!

The 7th name is Asaruludu, ahs-ahr-ool-oo-doo

His word of calling is Banmaskim Bahn-mahs-keem

Enuma Elish

Asaruludu is seven
the great magician
this title came from Anu
In time of peril their good leader
By the deadly duel he fetched them rest.

From what the Enuma Elish tells us Asaruludu is a great magician.

The spellbook tells us that he oversees the race of watchers and that he ensures the most perfect safety when invoked.

The word Banmaskim makes demons take flight. Similar to Banrabishu 6th name and Banutukku 7th name.

Maskim means demon, evil fiend, lier in wait, Ban seems to mean banish.

This spirit comes readily when called. I use his sigil on my Bandar’s <the watcher> bowl to ensure that my Bandar acts lawfully.
I have never had any problems with my watcher but it just seems a good measure of protection to have his over seer on my bowl.

Ashariludu is one of the names of the son of Enki <Marduk> in the Necronomicon. Ashariludu and Asaruludu are very similar spellings.

Lets look at the names of some more demons and spirits.
Asakku is a name for an evil type of spirit.

The âlû. Regarded as the demon of the storm, and possibly, in its origin, the same as the divine bull sent by Ištar to attack Gilgameš, and killed by Enki-du. It spread itself over a man, overpowering him upon his bed, and attacking his breast.

The gallu. As this word is borrowed from the Sumerian galla, which has a dialectic form, mulla, it is not improbable that it may be connected with the word mula, meaning "star," and suggesting something which is visible by the light it gives — possibly a will o' the wisp — though others are inclined to regard the word as being connected with gala, "great." In any case, its meaning seems to have become very similar to "evil spirit" or "devil" in general, and is an epithet applied by the Assyrian king Aššur-bani-âpli to Te-umman, the Elamite king against whom he fought.

The îlu limnu, "evil god," was probably originally one of the deities of Tiawath's brood, upon whom Merodach's redemption had had no effect.
The labartu, in Sumerian dimme, was a female demon. There were seven evil spirits of this kind, who were apparently regarded as daughters of Anu, the god of the heavens.

The labasu, in Sumerian dimmea, was apparently a spirit which overthrew, that being the meaning of the root from which the word comes.

The âhhazu, in Sumerian dimme-kur, was apparently so called as "the seizer," that being the meaning indicated by the root.

The lilu, in Sumerian lila, is generally regarded as "the night-monster," the word being referred to the Semitic root lîl or layl, whence the Hebrew layil, Arabic layl, "night." Its origin, however, is Sumerian, from Lila, regarded as meaning "mist." To the word lilu the ancient Babylonians formed a feminine, lilîthu, which entered the Hebrew language under the form of lilith, which was, according to the rabbins, a beautiful woman, who lay in wait for children by night. The lilu had a companion who is called his handmaid or servant.

The Namtaru was apparently the spirit of fate, and therefore of greater importance than those already mentioned. This being was regarded as the beloved son of Bêl, and offspring of Ereš-ki-gal or Persephone, and he had a spouse named Huš-bi-šaga. Apparently he executed the instructions given him concerning the fate of men, and could also have power over certain of the gods.
<This name sounds strangely familiar to the evil wizard Nammtar.>

The šêdu were apparently deities in the form of bulls. They were destructive, of enormous power, and unsparing. In a good sense the šêdu was a protecting deity, guarding against hostile attacks. Erech and the temple Ê-kura were protected by spirits such as these, and to one of them Išum, "the glorious sacrificer," was likened.

The lamassu, from the Sumerian Lama, was similar in character to the šêdu, but is thought to have been of the nature of a colossus--a winged man-headed bull or lion. It is these creatures which the kings placed at the sides of the doors of their palaces, to protect the king's footsteps. In early Babylonian times a god named Lama was one of the most popular deities of the Babylonian pantheon.

From our findings on the 5th 6th and 7th names we know that Ban means banish. So we can use the word ban with liberty against demons. Ban-Asakku, Ban-âlû, Ban-gallu, Ban-labartu, Ban-labasu, Ban-âhhazu, Therefore instead of saying Tiamat say Ban-Tiamat. Instead of Azag-Thoth Ban-Azag-Thoth. Just saying the names of evil spirits especially at night could attract negative energy your way. It is wise to not speak evil into existence. So Ban the evil ones.

The 8th name is Namtillaku Nahm-teel-lahk-oo

His word of calling is Banutukukutukku Bahn-ootookoo-kootook-koo

Enuma Elish

Namtillaku is eight.
In the shadow of death he discovered life.
It was thought they were made all new
conjured from death at his word
until the reckless rout
submit to his will

Different translation

(8) NAMTILLAKU,The god who maintains life,"'
Who restored the lost gods, as though his own creation; The lord who revives the dead gods by his pure incantation, Who destroys the wayward foes. Let us praise his prowess!...
Asaruludu, whose name was thirdly called

Lets first rotate our Spellbook pg 35 or Necronomicon pg 128 ninety degrees to the right. After you turn the book ninety degrees to the right you will see that death is smiling at you. Now who says death is not funny? To me this sigil looks like a smiley face turned side ways.

I believe this to be an angel of the race of Azrael <angel of death> Or perhaps Azrael himself. Although I have spoken with Azrael many times Namtillaku has never confirmed to me that he is Azrael. Both spirits have been very friendly towards me when called. Azrael has passed me over a few times when he could have taken my life so for him I have great affinity. I think its pretty common for people who become active with the Necronomicon at some point or another to speak with the dead. At least everyone who I know personally has.

I have spoken with Namtillaku in a graveyard on the upper west side of Manhattan <Around 150 St and Broadway> that is always full of spirits. <Orbs of light wander there.> I did not really sense much death like about Namtillaku. He seemed to give off a happy energy. The graveyard in which I sometimes sit on sleepless nights seems to have a lot of spirit activity. Perhaps Namtillaku was just happy to be summoned in such a place. That graveyard is full of the energy of the dead yet somehow very peaceful.

The 9th name is Namru. Nahm-roo

His word of calling is Bakaklamu Bahk-ahk-lah-moo

Enuma Elish

(9) NAMRU, The shining god who illumines our ways.
Three each of his names"' have Anshar, Lahmu, and Lahamu proclaimed;
Unto the gods, their sons, they did utter them:
"We have proclaimed three each of his names.
Like us, do you utter his names!" joyfully the gods did heed their command,
As in Ubshukinna their exchanged counsels:
"Of the heroic son, our avenger,
Of our supporter we will exalt the name!"
They sat down in their Assembly to fashion"' destinies,
All of them uttering his names in the sanctuary.

This spirit is supposed to help with all kinds of learning and school work.
I was once determined to not study so I made a cheat sheet and in doing so memorized all of the answers on the test.
So I was cheated out of cheating.

The 10th name is Asaru Ah-sah-roo
Its word of calling is Baalpriku, Bah-ahl-pree-koo

Compare Priku to Pirik pg 95. Then compare Asaru to pg 95 Asaru the eye on the throne.

Enuma Elish

(10) ASARU, bestower of cultivation, who established water levels;
Creator of grain and herbs, who causes [vegetation to sprout]."'

I like to write the symbol of Asaru on my plants as it seems to protect them as well as amplify the energy in my home.
Ki in martial arts in spiritual energy. Ki in the Necronomicon is the Earth. Our Ki of course comes from Ki.
In our modern oil age there is an application of these old water and plant spirits which is being overlooked.

These water spirits can aid us in financial growth as well.

Now rotate your Necronomicon Spellbook pg 39 or Necronomicon pg 129 ninety degrees to the left.

Asaru is now smiling at you!

The 11th name is Asarualim. Ahs-ahr-oo-ah-leem

His word of calling is Barmaratu Bahr-mahr-aht-oo.

Enuma Elish

II) ASARUALIM, who is honored in the place of counsel, [who excels in counsel];
To whom the gods hope,"' when pos[sessed of fear]. (represents areas of the tablets broken of or not legible)

First let’s look at the shape of the sigil. To my eyes it looks like a priest with his arms lifted over head praying or working magick by invocation. Under his feet where he can not see <For his eyes are looking to heaven as suggested in the Necronomicon> A snake is at his feet rising up to bite him.

This fits right in with the master sage Simons description of the seal in the Necronomicon Spellbook.
Asarualim protects against what you can not see.

Once again lets remember that these are powerful spirits which have more uses than are given in the book. These spirits are sure to have uses that I do not know of as well. So in the words of the Mad Arab. "take what I give you here and discover the rest"
Asarualim teaches sorcery.
He can also teach you how to enter your spirit into the astral world. This is a must if you want to master the Necronomicon. You must master the astral world as well. For to have mastery over spirits you must first be able to crush spirits which oppose you. Asarualim can teach you to enter that world. Marutukku can in that world teach you combat.
Asarualim offers protection against magick or anything of a nature which you can not see.

The 12th name is Asarualimnunna, Ahs-ahroo-leem-noon-nah

His word of calling is Banatatu, Bahn-aht-ah-too

Enuma Elish

(I2) ASARUALIMNUNNA, the gracious, light of [the father, his begetter],
Who directs the decrees of Anu, Enlil, [and Eal. He is their provider who assigns [their portions],
Whose horned cap"" is plenty, multiply[ing ... Who banishes consternation from the body of the gods,

So he banishes fear from the body of the gods. Sounds like armor. I had a vision in which I saw the seal of Asarualimnunna on Marutukka’s shield. I am not sure exactly how but these two spirits are very closely connected.

Lets first look at the shape of the sigil. It looks kind of like the foot print of a chicken. Now rotate the book 180 degrees in any direction. <turn your book upside down> Its a peace sign. Now the connection to the chicken becomes evident! <Joke>

This one is a no brainier. Protection. So if you are not into eating bullets carry this seal. Or better yet just carry the entire Necronomicon around with you every where you go. It is a very powerful amulet in its own rite. I have escaped many dangers with the Necronomicon in my back pocket. However perhaps I would not have been in those situations if I were not a bit of a dangerous fella.

I highly recommend this seal for Soldiers, Police officers, Gangsters, Italian businessmen, or anyone who might get the chance to eat a lead sandwich. <Hold the mayo extra ketchup please.>

Also lets note that it is in the same shape as the protective rune Algiz the defender. Algiz is used to ward off evil. It is said to offer opportunities for growth but more important than that it offers protection.

The Thirteenth name is Tutu. Too-too. His word of calling is Dirrigugim Deer-reeg-goo-geem.

Enuma Elish

(I3) TUTU [is hel, who effects their restoration.
--------------
--------------
--------------
--------------
--------------
Let him purify their shrines that they [may have ease].
Let him devise the spell that the gods may be [at rest].
Should they rise in anger, let them turn [back].
Verily, he is supreme in the Assembly of the gods;
No one among the gods is his eq[ual].

We should note that according to the Enuma Elish Tutu is the 14th 15th 16th and 17th name as well. I am not sure exactly what to make of that as the entities seem like completely different spirits when I call them.

It appears that some of this tablet was not legible. Several different copies of the Enuma Elish have been found but they all say just about the same thing. Translations differ a tiny bit but that is just due to the different writing styles of the translators.

One good way to work with these spirits is to use the ritual given on 11 - 15 of Simon's Necronomicon Spellbook.
After summoning the spirit I always close my eyes and picture the seal in white light in my minds eye. Tutu in my minds eye spins in circles like a top first point up and then point down. It spins so fast that it achieves flight. The text gives this as a male spirit however I detect a strong female energy about this spirit. So in my mind it is female. I am not sure how you would go about determining the sex of spirits. It is not quite so simple as flipping them over and looking in between their legs.

A good application of this seal is to make it on white parchment paper and hang it over your door. For indeed Tutu protects the household.

Tutu silences weeping. Summon this spirit for a friend in distress. If you know someone plagued by the demons of drug addiction or perhaps who is contemplating suicide call Tutu.

The 14th name is Ziukkinna Tzee-ook-keen-nah

His word of calling is Gibbilanu, Gee-beel-ahnoo

First lets note that the word of calling contains the name of the fire God Gibil, and the old grandfather king of Marduk <Anu> who once himself sat on the throne.

Enuma Elish

Tutu is(14) ZIUKKINNA, life of the host of [the gods], Who established... for the gods the holy heavens; Who keeps a hold on their ways, determines [their courses];
He shall not be forgotten by the beclouded."' Let them [remember]... his deeds!
Tutu they thirdly called

Some of these spirits seem to be a bit harder to summon than others. If you encounter difficulty construct the Mandal of calling on pg 120. In the center square place the gate of Marduk pg 44. Inside the gate of marduk place the seal of Marduk pg 31.
An easy way to do this is to use construction paper which you can fold up and use later. 13 inches per square is the measurement that I use. In this manner you will use a total of 25 squares. 5 vertical and 5 horizontal for a total of 25.

This spirit is good for astrology. <As is a bootleg version of Solar Fire> I am a newbie astrologer. I am however excellent with The Deck Of Thoth. A Tarot deck constructed by Ozzy Osborne’s Mr. Crowley. Ziukkinna is good for any psychic system. Ziukkinna is good for developing these powers outside of a system as well.

Very imcomplete and dated but heres some of my experiences.

My experiences with some of the 50 spirits:

4. BARASHAKUSHU One of my aunts who is in the hospitil right now had to undergo a very deadly surgery. I summoned him and asked him to make the surgery go well. He instructed me to place the sigil under her hospital bed. I did the day before the surgery. The surgery was a complete succes.

6. NARILUGGALDIMMERANKIA My oldest sister was have a few problems with some astral critters in her house. I got rid of them and then we discussed possibilities of shielding her home. I figured since her totem animal is a dragon I would summon this guy to put a dragon by her home to protect it. This guy was a bit restless when I first summoned him, but settled down when my sisters cat came and sat in my circle. Not only does the dragon protect the home from spirits but it also protects it from people who will cause trouble. I wont go into detail about the latter because it would go into great detail about some of the ass holes in my family.

7. ASARULUDU He aided me with preparing for the Nanna Gate and other assorted gates related areas. He also healed my puppy. My puppy had parvo. A VERY deadly disease. The vet game my dog about a 10% chance of making it. Well right now my dog is perfectly fine and is currently chasing my cat . His only request was that I draw his sigil in wood.

13. TUTU When my oldest sister's mom (we have different moms) had a nervouse break down my sis asked me if I could do anyting magickal to help her. I found him in the nec and then summoned him. I acted as a channeler between him and my sister. He instructed her so have her look at his sigil and say his name of power. She said that her mother lived on the other side of the state and wasnt into the occult but that she could email it to her. He said the email would have to power. They pondered for a few moments then she said she could send her a regular letter (through the post office) with his sigil drawn on it and his word of power in small letters for her to read. We mailed teh letter overnight delivery the next morning. She email my sis 2 days later saying how for some reason she had been in a good mood all day and how things in her life are coming back in order. He was prolly the nicest spirit ive ever worked with. He is benifitial to both the beginner and the master.

16. AGAKU I used to summon this guy to charge all of my talismans, tools, etc, etc. Then one day he told me that merely pronouncing his name over the item would be just has powerul. I asked him if I was bothering him by summoning him all the time. He said no, but that it would save me a lot of work if just use his name and word of power over the item to charge it.

19. ZISI One night when my aunt and my mom were having a fight (which was about to get physical) I calmly went outside and summoned him. I told him the situation and we conversed back and forth for about 5 min. He when I walk back in to say his name of power. I thanked him and went back inside. I whispered his word of power and suddenly they stopped fighting and out of the blue hugged each other...sat down and drank coffee and smoked cigs all night talking about when they were little.

21. SUHGURIM Ive worked with this guy on a few occasions, but ill only go into one right now. Last year a kid at school was always picking on me and shoving me around. I had finally decided to fight the mofo. I walked the in the bathroom and there were 7 of his "hommies" waiting to jump me. I ran out went home. That night was the first time I summoned suhgurim. He was really cool and joked around with me. When I asked why he was so nice to me (I was expecting him to test the circle and be completley unruely) he replied "I like you, if I didnt like you then you would know it". 2 days later the guy started going to a different school. When a buddy of mine mentioned my name to him all he would say is "Dont mention him to me." My buddy told me that he looked like was about to crap his pants.

NOTE: 1. Your Will must be connected to what you want suhgurim to do, in my experiences he is good about weeding out the practicioners emotional rage and what the magickian truely wants to happen.

NOTE: 2. He is an EXECELENT tracker and can find just about anyone in the world.

NOTE: 3 On a few occasions he has popped up in my room only to listen to music. The second time I summoned him my radio cut on in while I was talking with him. He seems to like Metallica (not kidding).

22. ZAHRIM Im not going to into great detail about him save that the armies he creates for the caster are VERY POTENT. The person who was on the "wrong" end of their swords ended up in a mental hospital for 3 months.....that was after I had told them to take it easy on her.

26. ENBILULUGUGAL Im not going to go into great detail with this one either. A buddy of mine's mom lost her job and they were running low on $ and ate ramen noodle fer 2 weeks strait. After summoning him and doing what he instructed a guy called her up and was like "hey, I have your resume from a year ago....you still need a job?"

30. GIL When I summoned him he told me to paint his sigil on my chest. When I was done with him I did. While having sex I continusly chanted his name and had the best orgasm Ive ever had.

31. GILMA Defininetly my favorite of the 50. He appeared to me in the shape of a man, but the only thing else I could make out was the energy that was radiating off of him (a yellowish organgish color). When he first came he ran into my circle, sort of testing me. The energy he gave off was almost enough to knock me on my ass. We conversed fer a few minutes then I gave him the lisence to depart. He didnt leave. When asked why he didnt answer (though at a later date I asked him again and he said he was testing me). I banishing him and when about my buisness. When I took my comp science test I had failed by 2 points. I pulled out his sigil and chanted his word of power for a few minutes, then out of the blue the teacher came up to he head of the class room and said "Im adding a 5 point curve to the test, everyone add 5 points to your test." I was like KICK ARSE!! Gilma also helped me with my insomnia for a while. He also broke down my mind (something I had been wanting to do for a while but couldnt do it myself). The latter 2 I didnt ask him to do....he just did it. He was impossible for me to control and his energy almost knocked me unconcious a few times. HIs only request was that when I was done with his sigil I bury it instead of disposing of sigils the way I usually do. (wow, long post so far)

QUOTE(distillate @ Apr 25 2006, 11:41 PM) *
Has anybody had any negative experiences with any of the 50 names?

I have never had a negative experiance with the 50 names.

If you want extra protection summon the watcher and Burn the Aga Mass Ssaratu.

This is a great way to empower the seals by using this mandal with the gate and seal of Marduk.
If you really want to empower the experiance open the Marduk gate over the mandal.

For protection from some of the possible negative side effects of opening the gate say this prayer.

Prayer to Marduk <Scribed by Smasher666>

Lord Marduk speak to me!
O great Dugga accept me as your priest!
I will serve you always!
May I both in life and death,
Make the greatest sacrifice to you,
Lord Marduk supreme master of all !

I have heard ceremonial magicians speak of having some problems with some of the seals. However I have never had a priest tell me of any problems. A ceremonial magician using the Necronomicon as a Grimiore will use the circles and Solomans Triangle.

A priest of Enki and Marduk will work this system without a circle triangle or any protection except the presence of Bandar. One who has dedicated himself to the Elder Gods will find that the Necronomicon opens up in ways it did not before.

Here is a link on my thread to summoning Enki.

Has anybody had any negative experiences with any of the 50 names?

I have never had a negative experiance with the 50 names.

If you want extra protection summon the watcher and Burn the Aga Mass Ssaratu.

There are also tons of great prayers to marduk and other Gods in tablet form, summerian, and translated into english in the book by Leonard W. King called Babylonian Magic and Sorcery.

Hello Smasher666,
by the way, can you tell me if any one can do the summoning... I mean with brief knowledge of the Nec? Cause i find that there are things related to the gates etc.....
of is there any prerequisite steps of experiences before that?

Coming to Enki, Do you know his equivalent in Hinduism?
its that i did not quite understand the relationship between Enki and Marduk...
Marduk, you said, could be equivalent to Shiva.. but according to hindu mythology, there was none before him... Shiva is the all supreme... the eternal light...

The 15th name is ZIku. Tzee-koo

His word of calling is Giggimaganpa, Geeg-geem-ahgah-ahnpah

Enuma Elish

Tutu they thirdly called
15) ZIKU, who establishes holiness,
The god of the benign breath, the lord who hearkens and accedes;
Who produces riches and treasures, establishes abundance;...
Who has turned all our wants to plenty;
Whose benign breath we smelled in sore distress.
Let them speak, let them exalt, let them sing his praises!

A good way to use this seal is to write it on the back of money along with the Aga, Arra and Bandar, and then spend it. Your money will return to you.
The manner in which I write this spell on the back of money is left to right Agga Arra Bandar then My Personal Symbol received from Enki then Zulum then Ziku and lastly Agaku.

So the spell might translate. By the power of Enki I invoke the Covenant and the power of my Holy Guardian Angel to summon Zulum for help in business matters which will bring Ziku who I also summon for financial increase. This shall be amplified by the mighty Agaku and take form in the physical world.
Using the symbols of the 50 names for such spell workings is a kind of Sorcerers short hand.

Use this spirit to improve your financial situation.

The 16th Name is Agaku Ahg-ahk-oo

His word of calling is Mashgarzanna Mahsh-gahr-zahn-nah

The trinity of the Necronomicon is Anu Enki and Marduk. They are known to those of the Hindu faith as Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva respectively. I am a bit rusty on my Hindu mythology. However from my memory the Hindu trinity is 3 aspects of the same god.
Anu is the father. Marduk is the son. Enki is the Holy Spirit. They are one in three. And they are three in one.
They are the three great kings. their power is one power. Their magick is one magick. The powers of Anu were amplified in his son Enki. The powers of Enki were amplified in Marduk. They are the Holy trinity of all religions. In comparision of these trinitys throughout the history of religion I have noticed some things are backwards in one religion from that of another. Magick works forward and then reverses itself much like electricty which reverses direction 120 times per second. Magick works in circles if you watch closely enough when it runs its course and completes the circle it reverses direction. This is hard for me to explain clearly. For my understanding of this came with images and not words so I often find myself lacking in words to describe my visions.

Having passed the Marduk gates and all preliminary gates the 50 names become much easier to work with. However it is not at all necessary. Just follow the method given in The Necronomicon Spellbook by Simon.

Having a personal relationship with Marduk eliminates any possible danger that might come from working with the 50 names. Marduk does not care if you call him, Shiva, Zues, Jupiter, Thor, Yahweh, Jehovah or Allah. Marduk only cares that you reconize him as the supreme being.

Ah kool, i was a bit lost with this paragraph about the relationships:

Enki was more powerful than his father ANU and he knew that his son would be more powerful than him. So he went about the business of making a son. That son he knew would one day claim the throne of the Gods. Enki advised his son to fight as champion of the gods but only under the agreement that each of the 50 great gods would give him a power and that Marduk would be king of the Gods. And so he is unto this day.

Well coming to

Marduk does not care if you call him, Shiva, Zues, Jupiter, Thor, Yahweh, Jehovah or Allah. Marduk only cares that you reconize him as the supreme being.

Well i consider Shiva as the supreme bieng and consequently it would imply Maurduk... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Any ways, i respect all Gods whether Shiva,Allah....

as for the spell book it is said not to call upon maurduk unless in case of emergency.. Just to make me understand better, the prayer itself, doesnt it establish like a call to marduk? So is a pesonal relation with Marduk possible for a beginner who has not passed his gate?

It is great to summon Marduk / Shiva to worship him or glorify him. The prayer which I have given does that. It would be wise to Summon marduk first before working with the other spirits. The thing is to not disrespect him by summoning him for some petty task. We are not to give lord Marduk instructions. He does not take orders from us. He is the king and simply wants us to behave as his children. Praying to the supreme god is always permitted. To summon the supreme god and give him orders treating him as a common spirit would be rather foolish. Marduk is a destroyer as well as a creator. Although we are awed by his prowess his spirit is love.
