Yesterday when my mother went to work at my little sisters school, she told me that the day was hectic...The entire 2nd, and 3rd grade boys class fighting in the gym, a lunch lady fighting with a student watcher, the principle fighting with her staff, etc...She told me that they foud behind a locker in the teachers lounge, a cup full of dirt with an egg in the dirt, and a white ribbon around the cup..A lady who knows about that "stuff" (lol) told my mother it meant it was something to cause conflict...Now the majority of the workers in the school are latin, some afro-americans, rarely any caucasions...At first I thought it was Santeria, but then I remember reading something ina voodoo book about eggs, and graveyard dirt...I'm just curious to know if anyone knows to what system this "work" might've been from. Greetings SangueDiNapoli,

I would agree with Osiris. Hoodoo is Voodoo which does not involve blood sacrifice. Sounds like a Hoodoo hex.

Be Blessed

I know about graveyard dirt, been into Santeria for a while now, but I hadn't seen whole eggs use with graveyard dirt, and white ribbons. I think the lady I mentioned was just bullshitting. Since the conflict started after the cup was messed with, I think it was there to prevent conflict. Graveyard dirt isn't just used to malicious purposes, and eggs can be used in a shitload of ways. But, color correspondences mean what they mean, and I've yet to find a negative correspondance for the color white. As for hoodoo being voodoo...Voodoo is more the religious practice whereas hoodoo is just a practice, the same way summoning entities is just a practice, a tool.

Somewhat off topic, but I once used white as a correspondence for suppression - at the time, suppression of anger, but it could be employed in a similar manner towards suppression of any other energy (I figured white, as in the way a face might turn white when drained of blood, and then thought of 'draining' the energy of anger out of the situation for diffusal. Transmutation into something else seemed risky in it's context.)

Everything can be used for good or ill, with a little creativity.

peace

Ya', not what I meant. Seeing as I was reffering to the topic, white hasn't been a color associated with conflict, or war. Maybe with whatever you were doing it seem to fit, but not with what was at the school, and the events that followed everything being messed with.
