i want to practice Ceremonial magic, i don't know what "flavor" though. I want it to angelical, not black magick... i'm thinking about enochian but thats supposed to be really powerfull... and hard. I want to choice a style so that i can focus mostly on that one only.

I want yaw to tell me about a few of the different styles of ceremonial magic, and the results you got served, so i can get help chosing the style i want to study the most... I don't care really how hard, becouse i can do anything i put my mind too.

Of course i want something that i can easily access without a whole lot of things i have to buy... (i'm low on money and if i buy strange things they might start asking questions, and i'm not really a good lier...)

So far i have read aggrippas book on ceremonial magic, and some varous other things, but nothing else really to talk about.

thanks.

Basically, but not exactly

Bardon - planety intellgences

Enochian - angelic influences

Solomon - Goetia, demons

Crowley - does anything and everything as far as I can tell lol

Much favoured system is Bardon, hard going, but thorough and direct.

Crowley is apparently littered with traps.

Enochian and Solomon are for when you have been going a while and know what you are doing.

Basic rituals like LBRP LIRP will get you started easily enough and you can start talking to Archangels right there and then almost.

Why not go to our library and click on a few links, there are lists of rituals and things there

Happy hunting

I really think you are approaching the subject incorrectly. Why not start with some basic rituals? Try and start a daily routine and see how that goes first then expand upon it.

Something along the lines of the LBRP and MP, or maybe the Star Ruby to get a feel for the 93 current if your interested in Crowley. Maybe cap it with a little meditation. Just a little bit every day works wonders and will let you know if this is going to be something you would want to pursue further. You can find all these basic rituals online for free. After a few weeks maybe check out a few texts like Crowley's Liber E and Liber O, Kraig's Modern Magick, or anything by Greer.

I hope that makes more sense.

completely agree with nero, and reading on kabala, always wise thing to do, i have little sis bit older than you, she taking first steps in magick(ceremonial), practicing visualization, focus, developing emphatic skills...studying kabala, doing only kabalistic cross on daily base, and lbrp occasionally. i advised her, knowing her temperament and nature to get theoretical aspect covered first, astrology, ritual mechanics...(thats how it goes with young taurus:P)...

“I'm thinking about enochian but thats supposed to be really powerfull... and hard.”
Well yes, it is hard and powerful but you sound like you are just starting off. I spent some five years learning Enochian magick, and it crushed me. Way too rigged and far to complex. If you’re set on Ceremonial magick then fell your way around. Try some of the basic rituals. Then start reading Crowley than try working with planets. (I would start with elements though, similar to what I think your after with CM, and harder to screw-up.) Read up on everything that you can find. You’ll find something that will strike a cord with you, and you will be more likely to enjoy your experience.

“Of course i want something that i can easily access without a whole lot of things i have to buy.”
Then Enochian is not a good choice. I am assuming that you don’t have a alter, tools, or dedicated space.

If you don’t wish to pay for books, you will need to search a little. Personally I’d pay the twenty dollars to get in. But a few free sites:

http://www.hermetics.org/

Hope you find you way.

I got my start with the Keys of Solomon years ago. Enochian can be a bit dangerous. I love the Book of Abra-Melin.

Good luck!

To Qoute Frater Yechidah

"Yes Enochian is dangerous (But so are all Magickal Systems), but not necessarily any more so than learning to drive a car. If you follow the proper recommendations, guidelines, and safety procedures, and, most importantly DO NOT RUSH, you should not encounter many problems.

I agree completly. Also if you need more information try these sites:From Basics to Adv., Resourses, Interactive Qabala, Bardon Companion, More F.B.. You could probably use these as a complete course. Once you have your foundation anything can be done, and most important "Know Yourself".I hope this helps. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wizard.gif)

Ave

Let me first start off by saying that Solomonic Magick deals only in small part with demons, those spirits in the Goetia and Theurgia Goetia, the first two books in the 4/5 books of the Lemegeton, the Lesser Key Of Solomon. The other 2 books deal with angels exculsively, not even mentioning the Greater Key of Solomon that deals only with angels. Secondly, if you want to get started on conjuring spirits, I've gone an extra few steps and found free pdf files to get you started, these are:

http://www.fratermd.com/magic/SummoningSpi...onstantinos.pdf -Summoning Spirits by Konstantinos, a training manual using mostly Golden Dawn type magick.

http://www.hermetics.org/pdf/grimoire/gkos1.pdf }
http://www.hermetics.org/pdf/grimoire/gkos2.pdf }--This is the Greater Key of Solomon, in three parts
http://www.hermetics.org/pdf/grimoire/gkos3.pdf }

http://www.hermetics.org/pdf/grimoire/arbatelofmagick.pdf -The Arbatel of Magic

These should be more than enough to get you started. And, if you find that you can get your hands on some money, get these two books, as they are the best on the subject:

The Secrets of the Magickal Grimoires by Aaron Lietch
Ceremonial Magic and The Power of Evocation by Joseph Lisiewski

Good luck, frater.

Greetings,

I like the Key Of Solomon.

History of the manuscript here http://www.esotericarchives.com/solomon/ksol.htm.

The book here http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/amethystbt...lomonintro.html.

This is where I began my study of Magick.

The edition I like best http://www.amazon.com/Key-Solomon-King-Cla...ie=UTF8&s=books

Peace!

Excellent reply. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wizard.gif)

The Konstantinos book is very easy to follow, and the keys and excellent for studying for later use when you get more advanced. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wandwizard.gif)
