Does anyone know anything about achieving telekenesis (or Phychokenesis) or any ways to work on it?

http://www.sacred-magick.org/index.php?showtopic=3425&hl=

I posted one of my techniques here. Also checkout psipog.net - they aren't magicians, so they don't go over the energetic mechanics in detail, but they give a decent overview of the act itself.

Remember, it's a muscle. It may not work perfectly at first, but it will if you're diligent, and believe it can be done. I've been practicing on and off for three years, and have had many successes. There are also a lot of factors about your environment, your body, and your emotional state, that most places (for instance, psipog) don't take into account.

Stormy days are best, especially during warm seasons. Be sure to drink lots of water, at least the standard 64 ounces a day, more would be even better. Spend time every morning examining your emotions. Don't hold grudges, they eat up your energy reserves. I was recently told by an entity during evocation that smoking cigarettes also inhibits the process by inhibiting conductivity. Cut down on your vitamin E a bit if a lot of foods in your diet are high in it. Get plenty of iron.

peace

I have a beginners book that has this in one of the chapters. It gives quite a few good techniques to help develop the skill, but you would have to put some time into practicing them. Also it gives a few good pointers for controlling your emotional state, etc. while doing this. If you want me to give you the techniques, PM me sometime.

Using hypnosis to reprogram the subcounicous mind.

I've been experimenting with hypnosis, to achive certain states of mind. Could be it will work. But i have also heard that
it can be , kind of dangerous because you are opening wide up for things you might not be able to handle just yet. Like
an open door to energies that may be hostile.

Still researching on this technique. I tried levitation for a few months with lots of meditation and dedication. The only thing i managed was to feel a very little effect. Seems like one must practice som kind of diet of foods, and years of practice.

Anyways, i made this PSI wheel to measure the energy in my hands. This worked very good, and i could spin the wheel even from 2-3 meters distance after some practice.

hmm... Some thoughts on telekinensis and levitation...

I've been developing my own TK just recently. I've managed to move a toothpick, but other than that, no luck. I used psipog for most of my referencing, but I'm sure there are plenty of other good examples.

I have like a library in my HD! It's divided in several groups! Here's what my Telekinesis article has ( note, this is not made by me ):
QUOTE
Psychokinesis (< Greek ψύχο- + κίνησις, literally "mind-movement") or PK, also known as telekinesis (< Greek τῆλε + κίνησις, literally "distant-movement") or TK, is the influence of mind upon matter, as the use of mental 'power' to move or distort an object. Psychokinesis may also be described by other names, such as remote influencing, distant influencing, remote mental influence, distant mental influence, and directed conscious intention.

Origin

The term telekinesis was coined in 1890[3] by British psychical researcher Frederic William Henry Myers[4] (1843-1901), who was one of the founders of the Society for Psychical Research, located in England. Myers also coined the term telepathy[5]

The term psychokinesis was coined in 1914[6] by American author-publisher Henry Holt[7] and adopted by his friend, American parapsychologist J. B. Rhine.[8] LinPsychokinesis&science www.psychokinesis&science.it

Grammatical forms

psychokinesis: psychokinetic (adjective or noun, a person), psychokinetically (adverb), psychokineticist (noun; rare), PK, PKer.

telekinesis: telekinetic (adjective or noun, a person), telekinetically (adverb), telekineticist (noun; rare), TK, TKer. Psychokinesis&science a new discovery www.psychokinesis.it

Measurement and observation

Currently researchers describe two basic types of measurable and observable psychokinetic and telekinetic effects in experimental laboratory research and in case reports occurring outside of the laboratory.[9] [10] [11]

micro-PK or micro-TK - A very small effect; cannot be observed directly. Manipulation of molecules, atoms, subatomic particles, etc. Scientific equipment is required for measuring or viewing.

macro-PK or macro-TK - A large-scale effect seen with the unaided eye; clearly observed movement or physical change of an object. Sometimes the word "gross" is used, as in "gross movement of an object."

Notable claimants of psychokinesis or telekinesis

("Claimant" simply means anyone who claims to possess PK/TK powers. Such claims are often disputed).

Uri Geller

* Uri Geller, the Israeli famous for his spoon-bending demonstrations, allegedly by PK.[12]

Nina Kulagina

* Nina Kulagina, alleged Soviet psychic of the late 1960s and early 1970s.[13]

Belief in telekinesis

In September 2006, a survey was published by the Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion, Baylor University, of Waco, Texas, in the United States. It was conducted by phone and mail-in questionnaire the Gallup Organization between October 8, 2005 and December 12, 2005 on behalf of the university. Among its 77 questions and 350 possible answers, one section polled Americans on their belief in various paranormal topics. One of the questions in this section surveyed belief in telekinesis. The word "telekinesis" was specifically used in the subsequent published report, but it did not appear on the printed questionnaire version that was filled out and mailed in by participants. However, those questioned knew they were responding to questions about paranormal beliefs. There were 1,721 participants with a margin of error of plus or minus four percent. Of these participants 28 percent of male participants selected "agree" or "strongly agree" with the statement It is possible to influence the world through the mind alone, as did 31 percent of female participants. The results of other possible answers -- "undecided," "disagree," and "strongly disagree" -- were not made available in the published report.

Cultural references

* H. G. Wells' 1911 story, The Man Who Could Work Miracles, and the 1936 movie of the same title based on it[15], portrays a character with psychokinetic powers (although the word is not used). Arguing in a bar, the character tries to make a hypothetical point by saying "to that lamp, as I might do, collecting all my will, 'Turn upsy-down without breaking, and go on burning steady, and--Hullo!'" Wells writes, "The impossible, the incredible, was visible to them all. The lamp hung inverted in the air, burning quietly with its flame pointing down." The protagonist goes on to make increasingly dramatic demonstrations of his power, ultimately stopping the earth's rotation.[16] Director Brian de Palma noted that the film is "basically about adolescent trauma. Her telekinesis is an extension of her anger."[17] Spacek was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal. Co-star Piper Laurie was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
* In the Star Wars movie series, numerous characters have the ability to control the movement of objects using the Force. In the book Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide[18] it is described this way: "Although such ability is commonly known as a Jedi's 'object movement' power, it is more accurately described as a manipulation of the Force—the energy field that surrounds and binds everything—to control the direction of objects through space. Jedi utilize this talent not only to push, pull, and lift objects, but also to redirect projectiles and guide their starships through combat."
* In the X-Men movie series, the female character Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix, based on the Marvel comic book character, has very strong telekinetic powers.[19] In the movies she was played by actress Famke Janssen.
* Actress Ellen Burstyn played a woman with miraculous paranormal healing powers named Edna Mae McCauley in the 1980 film Resurrection[20] set in rural America. She was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal. Co-star Eva Le Gallienne was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
* In the TV series Charmed, telekinesis was featured frequently. Prue Halliwell, one of the three protagonists up until season 3, possessed this ability. The ability runs through several members of the Halliwell family line, including Penny "Grams" Halliwell, Wyatt Halliwell, Chris Halliwell and Paige Matthews, whose Whitelighter genes cause the power to manifest as telekinetic-orbing. In season 8, the character Billie Jenkins was also shown to possess this skill. It was also used by several other witches, warlocks, demons and other magical beings featured throughout the run of the show.[21]
* In the film Matilda and the book of the same name, the title child character has telekinesis. In the movie she was played by Mara Wilson.[22]

Specialized forms of TK /PK in popular culture

Psychokinesis and telekinesis are the general terms covering control and manipulation of matter and energy. There are, however, a number of PK/TK specific abilities that have been used in popular culture works, such as comic book stories with super heroes and villains.

* Aerokinesis - Air manipulation
* Atmokinesis - Weather manipulation
* Biokinesis - Healing, biological manipulation
* Chlorokinesis - Plant manipulation
* Chronokinesis - Time manipulation
* Cryokinesis - Ice, cold manipulation
* Electrokinesis - Electricity manipulation

* Gravitakinesis - Gravity manipulation
* Geokinesis - Earth manipulation
* Hydrokinesis - Water manipulation
* Magnetokinesis - Magnetism manipulation
* Photokinesis - Light manipulation
* Pyrokinesis - Fire, heat manipulation
* Sonokinesis - Sound manipulation

Psychokinesis&science we must not believe we would have understand www.psychokinesis.it

Quotes

* "How many people here have telekinetic powers? Raise my hand."

psychokinesis&science www.psychokinesis.it Origin: attributed to American stand-up comedian Emo Philips as a one-liner used in his stage act. It can be found on his CD album "E=MO2" first released in 1990. There is also a subsequent derivative saying "Everyone who believes in telekinesis, raise my hand." This is often incorrectly attributed to James Randi, but he has stated that he did not originate it. However, he did use it in the closing line of his weekly commentary Swift, 15 March 2002.[24]. A similar saying, "How many of you believe in telekinesis, raise MY hands" was used by Rob Fargher as a signature line on one of his 1994 skeptics newsgroup postings[25].

* "mind over matter" — Sir Charles Lyell (1797-1875)

Origin: 1863 in The Geological Evidence of the Antiquity of Man. Fuller quote: "It may be said that, so far from having a materialistic tendency, the supposed introduction into the earth at successive geological periods of life—sensation, instinct, the intelligence of the higher mammalia bordering on reason, and lastly, the improvable reason of Man himself—presents us with a picture of the ever-increasing dominion of mind over matter." There is also a similar saying coined centuries earlier (19 BCE) "the mind moves matter" by the poet Virgil in his work "Aeneid," book 6, line 727.[27] The latter saying in Latin, "mens agitat molem," is the official motto of the Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands.

* "a talent that has to be seen to be believed" — Rod Serling (1924-1975)

Origin: March 24, 1961 in the introduction written by Serling to the Twilight Zone episode The Prime Mover about a telekinetic character played by actor Buddy Ebsen. The episode itself was written by Charles Beaumont. Fuller quote by Serling, after stepping out of a woodland scene and standing in front of the camera: "Portrait of a man who thinks and thereby gets things done. Mr. Jimbo Cobb might be called a 'Prime Mover,' a talent that has to be seen to be believed. In just a moment, he'll show his friend, and you, how he keeps both feet on the ground and his head, in the Twilight Zone."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Telekinesis

The ability to control things with your mind

Method 1-Telekinesis Wall

Sit down and stare at the object that you wish to move. Now, with any type of energy, start making a wall of energy in front of you. When the wall is finished, visualize it as a wall of glass. Put your hand(s) out in front of you and shoot out a little ki to push the wall. Send the wall crashing into the object. With any luck, the item will budge a little. Start with something small, like a cheap plastic ring.

Method 2-Will power

Once again, get in a relaxed state in front of the item. Close your eyes and become familiar with the energy in that room. With your eyes still closed, visualize the object SLOWLY start to move. Re-run the event over and over again in your mind. Open your eyes and see if there was an effect. If there wasn't, then you either didn't put enough time into it, or you don't meditate enough to have a clear mind.

Method 3-Mental Hand

Close your eyes and relax in front of the object. Focus on your aura. Visualize a hand coming from your brain. As it comes out, so is your aura. Slowly lead the hand towards the object. Lead the hand as you would any other. Let it grasp the object. Make it have a tight grip. Now SLOWLY push/pull the object. If your concentration is good enough, you can even try picking it up to make the item float. Open your eyes and look at what is happening.

Spoon Bending

Meditation required before performance:5-10
Pick up a spoon and hold it in your dominant hand. Hold it so that your thumb is placed against the handle just before the spoon-head, and the other 4 placed against the back. Close your eyes and feel out the energy around you. Close your eyes. Start rubbing your thumb up and down on the spoon. After about a minute, the spoon will start to feel warm. In your mind, visualize the thumb and spoon merging together. At this point, your thumb should be the spoon, and the spoon part of your hand (in your mind). Now bend the spoon like you would bend your thumb. Open your eyes and see if you were successful.

Psi Wheel

Take a small object and tie it to a string. Hold the string by the tip so that the item dangles at the bottom. Now Visualize the object twirling in a circle. DO NOT MOVE YOUR HANDS! It should begin to rotate in a circular motion. This is an excellent technique for developing will power.

Psi Wheel 2

First make a psi ball, when you feel it is good and strong enough put it on the psi wheel and program the psi ball to spin really fast, if done right the psi wheel should spin also.

Psi Wheel 3

First, start making a psi ball, then when you are making it, talk to your subconscious by talking in your mind and ask it for help with the psi ball. Now finish making the ball. After you have finished ask your subconscious again for help with making the psi wheel move. Now move your hands slowly towards the psi wheel and it should move. I use this tech to move a psi wheel, it works pretty well.

Psi Wheel 4

Calm down and focus on the psi wheel. Do whatever you need to calm yourself, maybe take some deep breaths or meditate or whatever works best for you. Now, visualize little lassos coming from your mind snagging the corner of the psi wheel and pulling it in the desired direction.

I remember trying out telekenesis a while back with little results. Although I did noticed that this metal foldup chair in my room sometimes made a ping sound while I was focusing. Probably a coincidence. On several occasions I did noticed sudden burst of awareness of my surrounding. To describe, its like you're daydreaming, then you suddenly get slapped back into reality with a gallon of caffeine. This is the only thing I'm sure of.

I had also tried a few years back with little to no results, & I have not seen conclusive evindence that it can be harnessed; however in the name of hope since I have not seen such suggestions before of working it as to try it (which I believe everyone has a diffrent method to achieve it) I will try this excercises you sugested and keep you posted, thank you much for the suggestions they're like a fresh cup of water in a hot summer day. I have harnessed the power of telekenesis twice. It is indeed possible. Usually it happens by accident
when an emotional state mixes with fearful belief. My first experience with tk was when I moved a star around
in the sky. Another time, I moved a martini glass across a table. When I moved the glass, I was actually quite
afraid I was going to explode the glass into about 40,000 peices and cut everybody at the table up. Surprising
enough, when I moved the glass, nobody saw. I found that pretty strange. I'm sure it would have
wierded everybody out. Now the strange thing is, Even though I have experienced this power before,
it's probably one of the most near impossible things to do on command. I can't stop dreaming about having the ability to do tk on command. Something tells me I'm near there though. It's a pretty wierd feeling when you do it though, it's kind of like you have a big freaking arm sticking out of your belly moving stuff around.

the closest thing i ever came to it was when i was eating pea soup with my family...and they got into an argument...and something was said that made me sooooo mad, i got up fast, the spoon fell in the soup(from an inch up) ...and the whole thing splattered. It went everywhere... lol...still, i suppose tk is all about control lol

well it was halloween (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jacko.gif) during the witches hour (IMG:style_emoticons/default/witch.gif) and we had the lightest person of 4 people lay in the middle. I didnt really have any experience...but we started chanting (we felt that one or two finger contact would be best) and only after 15 minutes i felt this strange sensation in myself, and someone else saying "so shall it be" but it was really me saying that to myself (not outloud) and she began to lift off the ground about 4 inches...The other two helping me were not much help (they were trying to force their energy) but it really only took me. After so many minutes i didnt even need to touch her (i was careful not to marvel too much or she would have fallen down). It didnt last very long...but it gave me a lot more faith in the whole magic business. I suppose i could just be crazy...and the stiff as a board Could be fake...but then we had four people witnessing it. To reassure people, i was not under any influence, (i do not drink or take drugs) none of us were....after that episode...things have gotten just a lil stranger for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

start with moving a candle flame (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flame.gif) stare at it and move it up and down and sideways and get your confidence with the technique.

Then try it out on your mouse arrow on your computer.

the mouse arrow thing sounds more like electrokinesis than telekinesis, because really you'd be manipulating something electric and not something physical. Also, maybe I'll try that light as a feather thing sometime and see what happens.

What about the Psychokinesis to control weather, would that be a kinesis in itself? Or just a made up name?

The word is atmokinesis, there's some stuff about it floating arond the internet. Weather manipulation and all. I also came by a cool trick linked to aerokinesis (control of the air, which is a branch of atmokinesis) where you can purify the air. Considering I live with a mjor smoker, I thought that was pretty cool.

QUOTE(Thorn @ Nov 4 2006, 01:59 PM) *
Does anyone know anything about achieving telekenesis (or Phychokenesis) or any ways to work on it?

Greetings,

In the past out of sheer boredom I have tried this many times. First let me mention that I am the biggest doubting Thomas that ever lived and I never believe anything until I see it proven beyond all shadow of a doubt.

My experiments with this are not conclusive as I have not always been able to replicate the results.

I got some chandeliers t o sway with concentration. Of course my doubting mind wondered if it was perhaps air flow. I also was able to sway a pendulum any direction my lady asked me to. When she held it it swayed but not the direction I wanted it to. So I tied it to the ceiling. Again it moved but only half of the time the direction that I wanted it to. Again possibly air flow?

I concentrated on trying to get a beer can to roll on many occasions. Once it rolled which was totally awesome. Again being a doubter I wonder if I had set it on a part of the floor slightly sloped? Or perhaps my guardian spirit was playing a joke. I somewhat suspect him in the pendulum experiments as I have used it as a means of communication with him before.

My ultimate goal is to be able to levitate a 24 oz can of beer from the refrigerator across the room and into my hand. This seems somewhat successful. I tell my wife that I am trying to levitate a beer from the fridge and make noises like I am concentrating and usually she will fetch the beer for me. So somewhat successful. lol. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gleam.gif)

I think it is probable. Supposedly the Tibetan Lamas can levitate. I do know that some of thier claims such as raising the body temperature to ward of cold actually do work. I have managed to learn that skill with a good deal of success. Can they really levitate? Again I am a skeptic.

Peace!

Yes, Tibetan Lamas can and do levitate but as their vibrations are far higher than your's are, you would not notice any apparent movement.

In order to see into a realm which is alien and exotic, you must first let go of all reason and enter into that world yourself. Then you will understand what happened to the Cat in the Box.

I don't buy that kind of stuff. Sounds like self-denial to me. I guess if you put a few of these "levitating" monks inside a room full of hungry lions they should be able to levitate to avoid getting eaten?

The Tibetian Monks that I have met around New York City I have been impressed with. They are easily spotted by thier red and yellow robes and shaved heads. I went to see the Dali Lama in Central Park when he spoke there and it was really cool.

I would not be surprised at all if one of these guys could survive a den of hungry lions.

Peace!

I usually like to have an object of power or my servitor near-by when I try my hand at telekinesis.
I've honestly never even tried any of those other ones.
I have to clear my mind before hand, and get into a very "magical" sort of mood.
Entering that state of "higher perception" (I'm pretty sure there's a word for this state, but nothing comes to mind.) is usually what I aim to do.
Though I can only claim triumph over matter twice.
Though one was very slight and I suspect it was some kind of air movement though the room I was in had very gentle ventilation.

Say you had a portal that sent things back in time.
You also have string.
Now, you throw one end of the string in and your past self holding the original end catches it.
Where's the fourth end, then?

Despite the levitating thing, I've seen some interviews with the Dali Lama. I personally think he's an intellectually enlightened person.

From a physical point of view levitation without the use of some kind of device is virtually impossible. Take into consideration the amount of energy that would be required to generate enough force to cause the entire mass of a single human body to lift from the ground. Mechanically we can create airplains or helicopters that use air to create lift, mechanical forms of flight. So it is entirely possible to create a device, say a jet pack, that can cause a person to "levitate" but the amount of energy that is required to accomplish this is a lot more than what the human body can generate (that has been scientifically proven). The amount of energy is high enough that it would probably kill a person if they could generate, and even then there is the whole issue of directing the energy towards the ground to repell gravity.

Granted by making an airplain or copter we have to consider we're lifing not only the mass of the human but of the vehicle as well. Regardless it still stands, a human body just can't create enough energy to "levitate". And even if it could, say its a windy day what force is then going to hold you in one spot? The ability to levitate is more complex than simply lifting the body from the ground. Some other mechanism has to be at work. You could say mind control that generates say a sphere of anti-gravitons around the body. That, to me is one "rational" way a human could levitate. Its just that whole gravity thing is a bit fickle. Once you negate the affects of gravity you're no longer traveling with the Earth and the Earth is hurdling around our sun at about some 67,000 miles an hour. You'd burn up in the atmosphere.

So what other possibility is there? Maybe that some how the human mind is capable of "bending", distorting, the laws of phyics and are essentially suspending the matter of the body in a fixed location above the ground. That, to me, is possible. Maybe the mind can invert the force of gravity that creats a sphere of gravity around themselves that is sieemingly repelling gravity, yet tethered to it. But again it boils down to the physical mechanics of levitation. One would still either need to generate enough energy or tap an energy source powerful enough to enable them to bend the laws of physics. However, if most of us agree that any form of litteral magick actually works, then why not levitation? After spending years learning and attempting to understand psychology I've come to the conclusion that our concsiousnesses, our minds, are the final frontier, not space. Perhaps we really are Gods in a fetal stage, only beginning to unlock our inner power.

While I will say that I am sure Tibetan monks are capable of unusually adept feats of mind over body I do not believe they, or anybody within 100 miles of civilization can leviate. And why hide an ability like that? Some might say that we, as a species are not ready to handle that knowledge. Who's to judge? We really couldn't know that until after the fact. Thus the only premise for keeping levitation a secret, that I could agree with, is keeping it secret means the potential for it to be misused doesn't exist. Its not a matter of judgement, just some higher logic that the Dali Lama, or some bushman understands a lot better than me or most everybody else.

Well, I have been thinking about Levitation, what if you got an external energy source of some sort? Like, when you watch those old Cartoons (Tom and Jerry etc.) and they get electrocuted they kind of levitate...but is that what really happens? I remember when I was like 2 or 3 I stuck a bobby pin in an electric socket...I don't remember levitating lol.

I was recently told by an entity during evocation that smoking cigarettes also inhibits the process by inhibiting conductivity. Cut down on your vitamin E a bit if a lot of foods in your diet are high in it. Get plenty of iron.

peace

Agreed. Start with good breathing and diet.

Smoking can cause athsmatic effects, making your diaphram weaker, and thus inhibiting Oxygen. The lack of oxygen cascades in effects to minimize your ATP production, as well as causing a series of interplays with the chamistry of your brain. People with low oxygen tend to be a little bit on the edgy side, with an attitude of slight desparation. Depression may follow. Breath control!

Also, Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) is very good for energy relay in your body. If we all remember, Lemons were used in middle school experiments to light up bulbs, yes? Vitamin C is very good for the conduction of bioelectricity, which may act as a carrier for better energy circulation. Seeing as how this was also done with potatoes every now and then, starches and complex carbs will also do the trick. Plant complexes and vegetables have potassium and magnesium: two very important electrolytes!!
