QUOTE
06/01/2007 - First OOB

Well it wasn't realy a OOB. This how it went:
I got to bed and started relaxing, i did the third eye
thing and i started repeating in mind that i would OOB, after some time,
my body just got very very heavy, i knew i was going to do it, so i just
keep doing it, then my hand starrted getting up, it wasn't me, and it got
very tense, very heavy, i felt something pull me out of my body, i felt
some energy and i got some shocks, it was getting me very drained, i was very tired, so i just
got my head up and open my eyes, i was back to the real world, but it was all very blurry, then
i just got back to sleep, i was very drained.

07/01/2007 - Second Try

Well it wasn't realy a OOB. This how it went:
I got to bed and started relaxing, i did the third eye
thing and i started repeating in mind that i would OOB, after some time,
my body just got very very heavy, i knew i was going to do it, so i just

got my head up and open my eyes, i was back to the real world, but it was all very blurry, then
i just got back to sleep, i was very drained, not as much as the other.

Well i need help in getting out of body, what should i do? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused012.gif)
I tried every single technique, roll over, imagining a point above me, etc. whitout results, what should i do to get out of body while in the vibrational state? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

have you tried visualising a rope hanging down from the cieling and "climbing" up the rope, pulling yourself out of your body? this is the technique I used when first learning OOBE.

Um, I would like to interject that trying a lot of different techniques will get you as far as realizing which technique is easiest for you to do effectively - it's a brain thing. However, it sounds like you are already getting good results with the techniques you are using, if those are the experiences you're having.

If you pursue one technique, every day, for a few months or more, consistently, then you will build up the necessary energy to get out of your body. If you mix it up and try ten different techniques, a different one every night, your progress will slow down considerably.

Consistent practice is the only thing that will establish the necessary pattern in your energy, in your brain, and in your psyche, to help you have an OOBE.

perspective helps, naturally, and certainly explore, but if you're making progress, don't switch techniques just because you haven't had a full blown OOBE yet, these things take time.

peace

Greetings!
Robert Bruce and his "Astral Dynamics" mentions/illustrates the rope climbing technique. Some people struggle with this (OOBE's) their whole lives...so a few frustrated attempts shouldn't discourage you. Patience...AND determination will get you there. BUT, tension and angst can have deleterious effects on most things. I guess that what I'm trying to say is, practice but try not to overemphasize the practice...let it flow in the background. Useful techniques include relaxation exercises and meditation in the state before sleep or even Lucid Dreaming springboards. I could add another half dozen but it wouldn't help... I'm confident that you can do this with alittle applied work and patience. Instant Gratification isn't always the way! Good luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

DONT ever look at each attempt as failure. Thats a negative way we are taught. The mages way or the warrior mystics way is to always SEE what has been accomplished in each and every attempt. And yes even though it has been said i cannot express enough that people try this for extreme amounts of time before even getting where you are. The funny thing is that most of the "failure" comes from what we know and have been told in school and religious belief. Fear being #1. The weight you feel is not a place to leave the body yet. Im not saying it will not work for you but usually its a feeling of lightness or in some cases of paralysis. The feeling of weight is indeed very close though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/i_triangle.gif)

There are physical things that you can add that help. an uncut ruby is one and a decent sized quartz crystal is another. Dont expect them to do it for you they mearly aid. Sleep with one or the other very close to you or under the pillow even.

I agree with Bym, just try to relax more, and dont try and force it. Like Bym say's " alittle applied work and patience."
