QUOTE(Ravlor @ May 16 2007, 06:22 PM) I am really new to NEC and I want to get going now. I have never felt any strange feelings during a ritual, I have never felt NEC calling for me... Can I still become a powerfull magician? For it is that I want to be. You have the desire / will and you are performing ritual. Now all you need is a little faith and the formulae will be complete. Will + Faith + Ritual = results. What is magick anyways? You can view it from more than one angle. You can view it as self psychology. And the psychological aspect of magick is very important. After all its your mind which determines your reality. Doing ritual can give us the faith to conqour obstacles in life that perhaps otherwise we could not. It helps you raise your aim and shoot a little higher than you thought was possible before. If your goal is something such as wealth then there are much easier ways to attain it than through magick. To accumulate a consciousness capable of effecting your surroundings you need to study magick for years. It takes a lot of effort. Law school for example would be a much better approach to get rich. If you want to broaden your mind and get a grip on the world around you magick is an excellent approach. It will not happen overnight. Although I have seen several people get immediate results. So its possible just not likely. With me I had to spent seven years doing ritual and not really seeing any results. However I enjoyed the ritual and thought the concept of magick was pretty cool. At the time I had half a mind to think it was just a bunch of B_ll Sh_t. I wondered if it was just me not getting it or if it was all a bunch of bullboshka. When I turned 20 things started to click and all of a sudden miraculous stuff began to happen in my life. I wondered if it was just coincidence or if it was finally starting to work. I am the type of person that has a hard time believing anything that is not documented beyond all shadow of a doubt. However there are only so many times you can write events off as coincidence. Because of this I began to believe. As my faith grew my results only got better and better. It may be that it took me so long to get results because I started very young and had an immature mind. In my eyes the real goal of magick is control of the consciousness. The magician must get a grip on his life. Unless one controls their worldly affairs they are not much of a magician at all. For me number one this means financial security. What the hell is the purpose of magick if you do not have a roof over your head and food in your belly. After gaining control of the mind things like making money become much easier. Optimists rule the world while pessimists let the world pass them by. The psychology of magick has helped me believe in myself and get a good grip on my life. To me that is real magick. Having a strong will and strong faith is much more important than the actual ritual. The ritual is actually the least important part of the equation. It could be as simple as crushing a leaf. Or as complex as the system of Abra-Melin. The Gate system of Necronomicon is all about transforming the mind into a higher state. Can you become a powerful magician? If you are willing to to invest the time and be patient one day all the pieces will just fall together. How strong is your determination? Go for it dude. Good luck! QUOTE(pyro @ Apr 1 2007, 07:32 PM) Does anyone have an answer about the tool disposal question? Think dismantling and/or burying them in a secluded place would suffice,or perhaps burning the ones made of flammable materials? Wouldn't want to piss off any gods. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif) I'm basically asking,*if* I were to use the methods of gatewalking and other things in the Necronomicon, can I get rid of the tools and stop using the system after some time without incurring the wrath of any spirits? And in the book of calling,it says you should get a "round load". What is that? "and by burning offerings of pine and cedar. And a round load shall be brought, and salt. And, having offered it to the personal deities, the Priest shall pronounce..." Furthermore,I can't seem to find any method of calling a particular spirit in the book of calling. I could have missed missed something, but all I remember seeing is afew incantations/conjurations for no spirit in particular. Are you supposed to learn this from your watcher,or perhaps in the process of walking the gates? I keep all my stuff locked up in a safe that's bolted to the ground. I would recomed the same to you as well. And if you want to travel leave the safe at someones house who you can trust. The gods like this kind of devotion.

2. Can you become a powerful magician? If you are willing to to invest the time and be patient one day all the pieces will just fall together. How strong is your determination? Go for it dude. 1. But isn't the pronunciation of the Sumerian words very important? If I call, let's say Barashakushu, and I pronounce his name or his word wrong, or misread it, wont it be a meaningless ritual then? 2. Ooh, Yes! I Really want to be a powerful magician. I want to be so strong so that I can change my surroundings with my will. Telekinesis is a desire of mine right now, for example. And I wonder, people here speak of having conversations with the wacher and so on... How are they performed? I mean, is it like "Hello, Wachey! What've you bean up to?" Or what? And there is also some things I didn't know that I didn't see in the book. Were does that information come from? The wacher? Or is it personal believes and interpretations of the texts in the book? And I also want to know how the fire god works? Is it an evil spirit or a good one? or as I should say, does he care if I die or not? This post has been edited by Ravlor: May 21 2007, 06:12 PM

Greetings Ravlor,
1. Yes, the pronunciation is quite important, but not an absolute requirement. Pronounce as best you can. Also, I've posted a file here that is a fantastic guide to the language. [attachment=609:attachment]
2. You can be as powerful as you wish. But changing ones surroundings is a relative term. I mean, don't expect to say an incantation and have the color of your walls change. However, you can change the current of the energies around you to effect subtle changes in luck, thoughts, emotions, etc... As for learning telekineses, well, you could always try the 18. Name. Shazu. He might be able to teach you the proper exercises for learning that.
3. Conversations with the watcher take place through intuitive thoughts and astral hearing, just as you see and hear a summoned spirit. The rituals and information concerning the bandar begins on page .69 of the spellbook.
4. The Fire God is Gibil. He isn't evil. But frankly, no, he doesn't care if you live or die. However, with the proper sacrifice burnt to him, you can ask for his protection, which he will grant.
Peace, Nosotro.

How is it done? 4. What kind of sacrifice shall I burn? Meat? Bread? Or just incense perhaps? Is there any official Simon website or necronomicon community out there in cyberspace where I can find further information about this apart from the books? /// Ravlor

Greetings, Okay, two answers in one. When one summons a spirit and has a 'conversation', the speaking is almost always carried out in the mind. It will be as though two people are thinking with your mind; Yourself and the summoned entity. You think a question or statement, and a thought which doesn't feel like your own will come about. This is the entity replying. The same goes for bandar. The more one does summonings, the greater and more distinct this other voice will become. To summon a Necronomicon spirit, in this case a Fifty Name of Marduk, it is pretty simple. First choose the Name you wish to call, and draw out their sigil on plain white paper. Then stand quietly for a few moments, clearing your thoughts and relaxing. Now stare at the sigil, concentrate on it and say; ZI KIA KANPA! (zee-kee-ah-kan-pah) ZI ANNA KANPA! (zee-an-nah-kan-pah) ZI DINGIR KIA KANPA! (zee-deen-gear-kee-ah-kan-pah) ZI DINGIR ANNA KANPA! HEAR ME O THOU (------ spirit's name) COME TO ME BY THE POWER OF THE WORD (----- Their word of power, listed with their description in the book) ANSWER MY URGENT PRAYER! ZI KIA KANPA! ZI ANNA KANPA! At this time you should feel the spirits presence in your mind. You can begin 'conversing'. Now, with sacrifices. Bread and incense is best. Just recite the invocation of the fire god and as you call out the final word of the spell, light the bread up. For the incense, Pine or sandlewood are best in my experience. And if you are looking for a Necronomicon Group to work with or just share info, go to the yahoo group myself and my fellow Priests of Enki run. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DisciplesofEnki/ Good luck, Nosotro Tehuti. Maybe they are ignoring you to protect you. To try and hinder someone from their work is not always a good thing, and you will have to make some kind of payment for it. It could be that Tuku doesn´t agree with what you ask in the first place, or that he is trying to protect you from the consequences of what you do.
Most people (though not all) consider the Fifty Names to be less effective before walking the Marduk gate, so it could also be that the effects are so slight, or so subtle, that you haven´t noticed them (yet!)

Greetings,
With many many of the Names, you have to look beyond the stated description in the book. The descriptions are indeed accurate, but also can hold metaphorical meaning, or subtle hints as to more hidden purposes. My recommendations would be either 27 or 28. Hegal and Sirisr respectively. In Hegal's description it says She (I believe this spirit to be female, imho) is a master of the arts of farming and agriculture. But if you interpret the lines 'bestows rich harvests' and possesses knowledge of the 'plough', it can imply a bringer of lovers and knowing the ways of the phallus. In the sumerian culture, it was very common in romantic and erotic literature to compare male and female genitals, love making and even kissing to agricultural things. Making love was sometimes called 'plowing the fields of barley'. As for Sirsir, his power is a little more direct. It states nothing of it in his description but through my working with him, and the experiences I've heard from other very learned practitioners, Sirsir is very much a 'sex' entity. You won't get a relationship based on loved, but he can bring one based on lust. Also, when you are with a partner, and if they are comfortable with occult ideas, then draw Sirsir's symbol upside down just beneath your navel. Think spiritual viagra.lol Now, I don't which version of the Spell Book you have, but if it's the one with the incantations etc... besides just the 50 names, then there is a love spell from Inanna listed. It's on page 111 of my version. Also, before you perform it, do the Prelim Invocation on 110. And lastly with that spell, it says 'to win the love of a woman'. But the spell is actually not 'preference specific'. So it'll work either way. Good Luck. Nosotro.

I have the Nec spellbook by Simon and tonight I am going to summon Aranunna the 29th. I haven't walked the gates, I haven't read the Necronomicon and I have no idea how to. I had to get the spellbook imported. Very hard to find. Would I be able to summon another one such as Malah the 29th name after Arannuna straight away? I won't just incase. I will get back to you what I experienced. (I have never done this before) And do I need to do a banishing thing afterward? I kind of like the idea of a spirit/entity guiding me or playing tricks on me. LOL ~Neris- (IMG: style_emoticons/default/i_triangle.gif)

Neris, here are some answers to your questions. 1. Yes though give them time. When I called on Hegal, it took a few weeks for me to get results. But then again I've always been a little slow. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) 2. As for banishing thats always wise. You could make the banishing as simple as the Lord's prayer or as complicated as you want it to be. The hard part is to then forget about it. You don't want your lust for results to get in the way. 3. As for Spirits playing tricks on you thats not always a good thing. Your young so you may not understand that right now. This is new to you enjoy it. But don't brag if you get the results you want. Many people don't like or understand magick and they may attack you because of it. But that won't help you. So silence is golden. Just my 2 cents Good luck, gmcbroom
