okay so....uh...i got a phone message from something that isnt human...and most of its white noise (because most of the time its screaming and you cant make out whats its saying)...but then, what makes me worried is A) it called from my house B) it was cursing my friend C)it feeds off my relationship with my friend D)it had enough energy and drive and purpose to leave me a phone message.

what the heck people? im tres confused. why would it have such a hateful connection with my friend but then be bothering me about it? it wanted me to 'tell her' something...but then proceeded to curse her out. am i just so oblivious it had to call me to get my attention? (it was screaming after all; i think it was frustrated). one more thing. everytime i listen to it the message seems to change. i stopped listening to it. in fact...im trying not to think about it too much. (just following instincts here). but if i ignore it...will it get worse? im thinking i need a major phone exorcism. dunno.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) my phone is possessed. crap. i knew i shouldnt have used Teen Mobile!

Have you asked your friend about it?
Maybe that person was just playing a joke...

i think i made the mistake of letting her listen to it actually. it wasnt a joke...she lives a couple hundred miles away from me and i was alone in my house that day. the call registered under my home phone number (i have caller ID ofcourse). and then when i DID let her listen to it, thats when the message started to sound different everytime we played it. it got louder and more violent. Anyway, it was a man's voice and we are both females.

It was not human. It was talking backwards, in a different language, and screaming curse words. its not a joke, and i definately dont think that sort of stuff is funny.

any advice? im not sure this sort of thing happens a lot. er...anyone?

Considering you have only experienced it through a voice mail, I would not make such inconclusive comments about the nature of the entity.

Have you attempted to write down what was being said or transferring it to another medium?

It may provide you with the information required to evoke it so that you could ask it directly what is going on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Of course, if it is a bother you could ignore it. There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

oh wow. no i didnt think about that. i feel like such a dope (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wallbash.gif) . thanks uni. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ac42.gif) could you give me some examples of how i could use another medium to transfer the message? like skrying or free association? pendants? (pendants are only yes and no so i guess this wouldnt be so great a medium). should i have my friend near? should she do it or should i? should we try to use recording devices? like recording over our conversations to listen for something talk under us? i figure since whatever it was that left me a message used a recording device, its not shy.

If you could record it to a digital file I'm sure someone here could help more if we heard the the message.

Well if you have a pc mic that could do the trick, may not be the best quality or anything but it should do the trick.

If the message is saved on your SIM card simply open your phone up and use the SIM card reader most desktops come with. Then copy the message. If your voice mail will let you save to SIM and your computer can read it, that is, If not then you will need to go about it the long way.

1) Dial your voice mail or answering machine number from RecOnPhone
2) Begin recording using the phone recording software.
3) Save file as .wav, .mp3, or .aif so you can use as needed.

If that is too much the mic trick will work too.

I'm confused, I thought the SIM card and the SD card were different? Or are they just micro SD's now?

No, your right, their different. The Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) is what the phone company uses to track and log call duration for billing. It can also store your phone books, call logs and- what is important here- data files. The prevalence of card based data storage, and lack of any standard format has lead to computer manufactures clustering the many "readers" in to multi-card readers installed on desktops. I made a mistake in my last post when I said that most computers can take SIM cards, I should have said "read SIM cards." The SIM card is not read traditionally and needs an adapter to fit in the SD or USB slots- which is not standard. In light of this RecOnPhone is more practical or again the mic trick.

Thanks for telling me because I was confused about the whole SIM card thing. I have one of those prepay deals and it doesn't have a SIM card, its like onboard data storage.
