Hi Gang,
I was just reading a response from a post in the Book review section and someone said there was a blind in the Necronomicom Spellbook. I'll be the first to admit I don't see it. I've used the Spellbook and perhaps I'm wrong but I thought it was a mixture of Candle Magic and prayer though the prayers are directed at Marduks many facets. Noticed I'm not knocking the Nec or the Nec Spellbook. I've used both. I like them. But blinds I just don't see them. If you know what they are but don't want to speak openly about them could you PM me oremail me I'd like to know.

Listen In my Opinion the blinds are their to protect the system. Now what is the system you ask? Depends on what you believe, but I am pretty positive(99% sure) what the system is behind this paradigm. If you want my opinion use the 50 names in a chaos magician way, do not embrace the system.

EDIT: REMEMBER THIS IS JUST CRAZY DISTILLATE'S OPINION!

Greetings GMCbroom,

Try making the seals and invoking without the circle around the seal. Circles are a common occurance in Ceremonial magick. However in my humble opinion circles have no place in Sorcery. Like Shamanism in its highest form the power can be invoked within instead of without. Albeit to achieve that sort of climax might be rare. Abandon all circles within the system and you take a step in the right direction.

Also never call a 50 names spirit without first conjuring the fire god and burning the agga mass ssaratu. If you burn the agga mass ssaratu for the 50 names spirits I promise you will get much better results.

I believe in the earlier form of the Spellbook it was advised to use the Marduk Gate With Marduk Seal inside the Gate to help contact the 50 names. I think this was called The Necronomicon Report.

I might even have a copy of this floating around my computer. I got it from Ashnook.

Peace!

Ya, he puts the fifty name seals inside of one of the Mandals. Ive used the technique before to great effect. Smasher is correct though, one needs to remove the circle from the Spirit's seal as to cause it to be both invoked and evoked. That is to say that the spirit would be invoked into your spiritual temple (yourself) and evoked into your physical temple.

Greetings,

Simon admits that there are blinds in both the Spellbook and the Necronomicon. He says they are in place to protect the system. These blinds become obvious as you work the system.

Something interesting is a little spell Simon put in the spellbook. Pg 79 Spirit 31 Gil

Look at the sigil. Its bigger than all the other sigils in the book. The rest are all same size and much smaller than this.

Gil is the furnisher of seed. He makes things grow. Gil's seal is facing the next on pg 80 Gilma.

Sigil magick? Gil furnishing creative force to Gilma?

Gilma reveals the hidden structure in things. So SImon helped us out in secret.

So although there are blinds you can see through them with a little devotion.

Peace!

Lets compare Necronomicon to Spellbook. Necronomicon pg 127 look at the 6th name Nariluggaldimmerankia. now look at pg 30 of the spellbook. Its upside down. Opposite.

In the spellbook it reminds me if the Native American FIre Bird or the Phoenix. In the Necronomicon it reminds me of the Angel Uriel the fire of God.

Sometimes I use the symbols upside down to obtain reverse or somehow different results than I would be trying for with the sigil in a normal position.

Typo or hint? I say hint.

Peace!

I( tend to adhere to the opinion Narriluggaldimmerankia is associated w/ the Earth. Edunpanna's assertion can still be correct in the fact the Earth goes through a death rebirth cycle. So from the ashes of winter the earth arises in spring. This is of course my own opinion based on my work w/ this spirit. Others may have differing opinions on the matter.

It’s debatable. A shaman sorcery who enjoys piddling with ceremonial magick might not think linear rotation has diddly squat to do with a flying spirits perception and recognition of any given sigil.

Some of the Golden Dawn may think that the rotation of the sigil is very important as it fits a certain way into the Rosicrucian cross. Regardless angelic script predates Christianity and Judaism. It very certainly pre dates the Rosicrucian cross. I know the Golden Dawn feels this way because I have argued with them over this.

Many of the Necronomicon sigils such as the Agga and the Bandar are Angelic script at least as old as the 12th century. The Necronomicon is slap full of angelic script and script that looks darn angelic like.

My thoughts. A screwdriver is not a hammer regardless of any way you can turn it. It is still a screw driver.

I have not been to this forum in a long time. If you guys want I could post some of this Angelic script which will show Necronomicon sigils in a different rotation than in the Necro. Does photo bucket code work here?

I am sure Simon was quite aware he reversed the sigil from one version to the next. I am sure he did it either for a magickal purpose or as a hint for those worthy to seek truth. With Peters Lavendas extensive occult background it would be heresy to even consider that he did not know the Agga is nearly identical to Michaels sigil inverted and rotated 20 degrees. Simon Peter Saint of the Catholic Church. Simon Peter Lavenda Saint of the Necronomicon and Editor of angelic script. He he he. Very funny.

I am sure Simon Peter agrees with me about angelic script rotation. At least he seems to in his publications. Other than commenting on his books he had never discussed anything in the Necronomicon thread though. So who knows his current views?

Its debatable. This is just my opinion. I can not claim to be an authority on anything as I learn something new every day.

Peace
