In my dream, I'm sitting in a restaurant. I'm on a date with an older doctor.

The doctor is sitting across from me. He has either a heart attack or a stroke and passes out right in front of me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) The paramedics come and take him away (I briefly see the world from his perspective on the stretcher.)

Believe it or not, but I've had actual dates that were worse. But what is your purpose in mentioning this?

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.

the old world is dying and going away - seeing the old die is always difficult

my take on it anyway

as for mentioning it here, uh, where else would you put it that would understand?

no smarty-pants comments on where to put it lol

imo, dreams are the subconscious's way of dealing with subtle information

and with understanding comes understanding

I thought this was the Dream forum? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused012.gif)

And what could possibly be worse than watching someone die right in front of you? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fie.gif)

When that person is someone in your family or group of friends

No matter how close you are to the person, it's fairly traumatic. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Death is usually a symbol of change and transition. Its not necessarily a bad thing. In fact it could be good. However, good may mean necessary - not pleasant. The symbol of death does not have to be about a major issue. It may be related to something as simple as a new hair style or a new car. It may be more important and signal a change in your relationships with others or your self.

When ever you identify a symbol in your dream, an easy way to interpret it is by asking yourself "How am I like that?"; for example, "How am I like a doctor who dies in front of myself?" Does that mean you're kind of a push over?

A restuarant is a place where you eat and socialize, both can be associated with nuturing or seeking to fill a void within one's self..
To me a doctor is a healer. Since it was a male (presumably) it may relate to your masculine side. Perhaps you had a significant male figure who liked to help others (like a doctor, but not necessarily in a medical way).

So maybe your dream is telling you that you tend to nuture yourself in the wrong ways or that soon things will change how you nuture yourself.

Your welcome. I hope through all this dream interpreting I do, that you do get something positive out of it. Sometimes I feel like I'm just a babbling idiot giving nonsense for advice. Seeing as how you've only said good things and not "wtf!!!" or something like that I think I'm doing a decent job. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/angel.gif)
