Magic isn't only ritualistic, but it is far more subtle than what you're describing.
Sigils and the like have an element of ritual, but not a full on ritual like you're thinking. Sigils and most other forms of magic will work subtly to cause a desired change(get a job, get a car, meet a lover, gain a personal truth, find adventure), but you're not gonna shoot a lightning bolt from the palm of your hand. Although that would be pretty cool.
well...thx, but i'm not interested in getting a car or meeting a lover..that can be done without magic, as it should be!!
I'm just interested is there more to magick than chanting because even though you all say
" I was chanting for an hour, and in the next month a girl i liked called me.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/001.gif) yay!!! " that's not magick..sorry if i offended someone but
really!!magick should be instinctual, should come from knowledge. When you decide to cast a spell you should use your energy, not a fictional from a candle or who knows what. It should be emotional but contained. Like using your hand to reach for an object, you shouldn't question the fact how you did... i guess i ask for a lot but bear with me...
what's the point??
If you have a book or something to prove me otherwise, please do!!!
