Alright, I wasn't too good at meditation until very recently ( like the last four months.). One night, a gazed into this crystal ball for a while and got into this hall like place with faces in the wall and a rather large, very black bat leading me as well as a very white mouse, both of which wore my necklace. (The necklace is a clear sphere with a mustard seed in it with braided red yard as a cord.). Ever since then, I haven't had too much trouble with meditation, in fact, it's almost the exact opposite now. I sort of meditate whenever I hear music thats pleasing to me. I get lost in it. I always have, but not this easily. I don't know why and I want to know if anyone has any ideas of why this happened.... If anyone has anything about summoning for begginers too, I'd really appreciate it as well as if anyone would tell the me the consequences of a 'failed' summoning......

It sounds like your mind just 'figured out' meditation. Sometimes you have to work at something a long time with no apparent progress until it all just falls into place. Unlike most studies, our art isn't so much a steady aquisition of knowledge as it appears to be a series of inspirational rushes that come when we are prepared for them. Kind of like 'leveling up' in an role-playing game, although far more complicated.

As for the bat and the mouse, it sounds like they where parts of your subconscious (possibly yin and yang although that is just my interpretation), leading the way for you. They most likely weren't spirits or anything like that, the symbol of them wearing your necklace is kind of a give away that they are part of you.

And as for summoning, be courteous and kind to the spirits you summon, just like you would to someone you met on the street especially if they are doing you a favor. Remember to never give away your energy to them, always have a source prepared that is outside your body and not attached to you if you do plan to give that to them as a tribute or payment. I say this, because giving away even a fraction of your energy gives them a sort of 'backdoor' to the rest of it, and possibly even your mind. This could open you up to alot of problems. Also, don't go summoning the 'big bads' until you are MUCH more experienced, if that means you have to limit yourself to summoning the Fuzzy Pink Bunny God then so be it.

For Chaos Magick summoning I would recommend looking into the summoning of Godforms, they are basically massive collections of energy created by large amounts of people focusing on a single fictional character or being (possibly a real one too). They often have nearly as much power, if not more, as most powerful supernatural beings due to he amount of attention our culture puts on the stories they are born from. These beings can be alot easier and safer to summon than others, since they usually have a set number of characteristics that they never deviate from, and can easily be researched on any fan site. Just a suggestion though, summon whatever you want just be careful about it.

I am sorry if I accidentally answered something that wasn't a question XD

Good luck on your practices, and congratulations on finally learning meditation.

Oh. P.S. I reccommend reading "Liber Null and Psychonaut" it should be a free pdf file on the internet, just google it, it is very useful and educational if you havent already read it.

Great response, Haemoglobin!

I'm not sure what you mean by "meditation" though, Violet. You say you became able to do it after scrying in a crystal. Scrying and Inner Plane journeying are not the same as meditation and there isn't a "successful" or "unsuccessful" way to meditate. It's a practice. Sometimes you may be restless and sometimes you might be very clear or focused.

I any case, I would agree with all of Haemaglobin's post. I myself believe that spirits are only projections of consciousness but this doesn't mean that they are all harmless. Most human beings are fragmented psychologically and this can come out and bite them when they do spiritual or occult work. Meditation practices, ideally, are supposed to help combat that but they can have other messy effects along the way.

Thank you two very much. I'd really been hoping for responses. These are both very helpful as well. Thank you again, especially for the summoning information.
