Hi.
Just joined and excited to be here.

I'm doing a magickal apprenticeship course and it sometimes feels very isolated (lonely?!) at times as I can't speak to any of my friends about all that I'm learning and if I do - they can't really relate to what I'm waffling on about.

Interested in magick, tarot, Hindu mysticism, kriya yoga and working through them at the moment.

Cheers and looking forward to being here.

Nice to have you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It can be lonely to be interested in things that others aren't, but hopefully this forum alleviates some of that.

Cool! Welcome!

Don't feel tempted to share things you're not supposed to, but I hope this forum helps you feel less isolated. Magick and mysticism tend not to be mainstream, so having internet buddies can be a great way of having a sanga in high-tech society so-to-speak.

I don't know much about Kriya yoga, though I'm interested in yoga in general and would be interested in hearing more!

"It sometimes strikes me that the whole of science is a piece of impudence; that nature can afford to ignore our impertinent interference. If our monkey mischief should ever reach the point of blowing up the earth by decomposing an atom, and even annihilated the sun himself, I cannot really suppose that the universe would turn a hair.” --- Aleister Crowley

“We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special."
--- Stephen Hawking

Therefore, God is a monkey.

Expect nothing, or you will get caught up in the future and not pay attention to the present. Just do the practice diligently, do it because you enjoy it, do it because you believe in it. Don't wait for results, don't wait for it to happen.

Thanks Vihljalmer - Getting to the understanding that we are alone enough as it is.. and that's something that's all the more obvious when you're on the Path.. so will be good to speak to like minded people..

Monkman.. learning to shut up about the things I'm learning about or seeing.. though I am a veritable jabbermouth..

Kriya yoga is brilliantly explained in this bookhttp://www.amazon.com/Systematic-Course-Ancient-Tantric-Techniques/dp/8185787085/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1282466745&sr=8-1

You can get it online for 'free'..

Systematic step by step instruction - next best thing to having a flesh and blood guru.. I'd recommend having a look at it..

Cheers Tomber. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
