Last night after getting home quite late from work I decided on the spur of the moment that I would get in my truck and drive into the woods, and spend a night there alone except for a few candles and a bottle of water.
I left at around 7pm, and arrived at the trail head at about 8:30pm parked the car and started walking.
The sun set at around 9:15pm but I kept walking until I could no longer safely navigate the path which was at about 11pm... it sure gets dark in there.
The forests of BC are so amazing!
I wish I could describe every moment of walking along the path and how exhilarating it was, how magickal it was just to venture into the forest alone at night... I tread paths that I have walked since I was a young man, yet nothing seemed the same. Nothing at all was the same, it was as if I had never seen this wood before and had never touched a single tree in my entire life.
Before leaving home I paintd 6 ruins on my hands for protection and guidance, and 4 kuji on my arms for power and completion. I felt perfectly secure and confident. It seemed like the woods were so alive and happy to see me.
I was guided along safely by the rune of Raidhio and I knew with out knowing why that tonight I would have my answers, and that after walking up a great mountain and a great tree I would find a clearing just after darkenss had settled. And indeed that is exactly what happened, as if on que.
As I sat in the clearing at the top of the mountain, I cast my circle and spun the mystical hammers around me in a shell, then disapeared as my very being soaked into the forest floor
"I must find the Magus of the silver star tonight", I thought to myself.
With that purpose in mine I begin the ritual to build power, as a lone candle flickers between my legs I sit crosslegged on the mountain and began to weave the kuji.
The first matrix brings my mind and body to perfection, the second creates my mystic sword and uses it to amplify my power one hundred fold.
With the next I find harmony with all mankind and the natural world, and with that I stand leaving flesh and blood behind and enter the distant lands of the spirit.
A warm winds blow and sing as high clouds stream across azure skys.
My barefeet make soft sucking sounds as I walk across wet sand. I make three sigles each more powerful than the last, each with a single purpose. Each in turn are erased with a quick brush of my foot upon the moment they are charged.
I fly into the air, higher and higher, swiming like a fish, then soaring like a bird. I climb higher and higher, above the canopy. Into space itself.
There is a mountain peak off in the distance jutting up from the world below.
I change into the phoenix and head strait for the mystic pillar in space.
Yet try as I might, beating my wings with those mighty muscles as burning feathers fly, it seems the peak draws no closer. Still on I fly further and further yet nothing changes.
Something is wrong, it must be my shape, only in your true form can you approach the sacred mountain.
I change back into a man, and plummet from the skys like a commet. The wind burns and screams in my ears, I do the only thing that comes to mind I call upon the kuji once more.
Now, flying back toward the mountain, my black blade in hand, boldly I approach.
The mountain drawns near, only to find that blocking my path is another barred gate as waves of energy wash over me like jagged rocks, pelting me, pushing me back and away.
Swooping and diving, slashing with my sword, I am again barred from approach.
As I again weave the symbols I find the answer, changing my vibration to match the stones of energy I become one and pass through unharmed.
This mountain looms great in the mind, larger than I have ever seen it, and more beautiful by far than ever imagined.
Only as I pass the next gate to I begin to feel the poisen. So sly was my foe that I did not feel his presence, so devious was his weapon that I could not feel its sting until it was almost too late, almost, but not quite.
The black blade "courage" slips from my hands and once again I rush down in a great streak of light like a burning commet. Just then for a brief moment I see the world from the point of view of Magus, his sandled feet at the endge of a high cliff he looks out upon existance, I see myself though his eyes, but I am only a dot among a sea of confusion.
I fall faster and faster, toxin draining my strength, I cast my final word of power. "Heal" and stab at the heart with a finger. Instantly the wound closes but as it does I crash upon the rocks and sleep.
* I awake on the mountain back in reality, light my second candle and close my eyes, I contiue the journey*
I lay at the foot of the great pyramid of stone, the holy mountain.
Slowly I rise, but not strong enough to fly, I begin to walk and climb.
I come to a circle of crystal upon the path, and above it slyphs fly. We greet and they take an interest in me, I know not why. "Why are you here?" I ask. "To watch" is all the beautiful maidens will say, and with that they take my hands and together we soar up and up, dancing like feathers in the wind.
I am taken to the next gate and brought back to land.
One foot infront of another, I march forward, the first man in a thousand man army of soldiers from all ages past. Raidhio guiding our steps.
A little man sits upon the path, picking up stones and eating them.
"I was waiting" he says. "For what?" I ask. "To see what happens".
Then suddenly grasping me by the ankles, we sink into the earth.
I become the earth.
"Dance and sing with us mortal, or you go no further."
Joined by his friends and family, the little gnome dances and the earth shudders with pleasure. I dance too, and sing.
"He dances like a mushroom!" they chortle.
The dance is done, and I climb toward the surface like a swimmer looking for air. As my hand breaks the surface I seem to solidify too early, and find myself encased in stone dirt filling my mouth, with only one hand free.
Suddenly the hand cries out in pain as it begins to burn and I can feel something above is pulling on it.
A tiny golden child wreathed in flame pulls me forth, its little hands grasping my fingers.
"I am Adjemoot." he says before I have a chance to give thanks, he runs up the mountain leaving burning pools in his footsteps for me to follow.
He brings me to a cave, a dark sucking wound in the mountainside.
"Will I find the answer inside?" I ask. "What is your question?" he asks back, but before I can reply, I am compeled to enter the cave, and all is dark.
* I awake and I am again on the mountain in the forest. I light my third candle. Yet, my journey is over, I can not return to the planes, I am too tired.
I sit and watch the candle burn, slowly it melts it way down to nothing and extinguishes in a pool of its own waxt.
Soon the light of the morning rises to the tree tops.
I make my way back down the mountain towards my truck wondering if I have succeeded in my task or not.
Driving home, it seeme the world is but a dream, and the sights upon the mountain are the true reality.
I am home, in bed, I check my email, and go to sleep.
As I lay sleeping, a powerful vision swoops down upon me.

THE VISION
I awake in a cave, the walls are wet and coated in glistening slime.
At the end of the tunnel is a faint bluish light, but where I am seems to be a dead end. I do not remember how I got here.
Crawling on my hands and knees I approach the light, to find that the closer I get the smaller the tunnel becomes. Tiny voices in my head warn me telling me to turn back. TURN BACK! TURN BACK!
My head brushes the ceiling and I must get down on my belly to go forward, so I colapse onto my belly and scuttle like a worm towards the light.
TURN BACK! TURN BACK!
But I have no fear, and soon the cavern is all around me, pressing from all sides. My shoulders become stuck, and my head also becomes jamed in a hole too tiny for it. I can not move. Not forward, nor back. But I still see the light off in the cave, a glowing goal.
Spiders begin to crawl upon my feet, biting me with their jaws. Sucking my blood.
Time passes, still I reach for the distant light, so close yet so far.
Thirst and hunger come to call, yet I can not move, so I simply chew the dirt. Worms and bugs and rocks. My teeth are gritty, and my tongue bleeds.
More time passes, and I can feel my body begin to die. I can smell my own putrefication as pieces of my flesh begin to rot. But still I look towards the light.
My form shrivels and shrinks, I find now that I can wiggle slightly, so I press onward toward the blue beyond, onward, forward, I claw, my fingernails ripping out of my hands, bones scrapping upon the stone.
I am blind, my eyes have gone the way of dead flesh, but the light grows brighter, that alone is what I see.
The dark sky can now be seen above the hole.
With pain I heave myself forth. The earth gives birth to me, but I am stillborn.
Yet somehow I live. The air is sweet, and the meadow beautiful.
I stand proud upon the mountain, the moons cool blue light shines down upon my tired soul as I wait for the next event to unfold.
Looking up I see what seem to be four stars in the heavens spiraling their way down towards me. Are they carrion come to feed?
They drop down before me, and I examine each in its turn, and in turn each examines me.
A golden peacock. A white wingless oriental dragon, with pink eyes. A phoenix, and a giant black raven.
The Raven hops forward and begins the tale.
"Your father tengue, and mother wise. Many years and lifetimes ago you were a mighty warrior from the east and also a powerful warlock." the voice is light and almost seems happy.
"You died, and have been burried in confusion for many lifetimes, killed by the mighty one who need not be named." calls the dragon.
The phoenix and peacock walk forward, like two glorious flames.
"Only now after so long a time you stumble upon your former path, and call to mind some of your former might. We congradulate you for we thought you had been lost forever." says the phoenix.
The peacock leans in close and wispers into my ear.
...
I thank them, and look down upon my hands and feet. The spirits fly away, and I slump down, and fall asleep.
A few moments later my alarm clock went off, I got up and started writing all of the events down in my diary and then headed off to work.
I'd call this a vision, because thats definitly what it felt like, although Ive never had anything like this before so its not like Im an expert.
