Has anyone ever used energy as a substitute for food? Before I continue, I'd like to advise that I am not talking about psychic vampirism, but literally taking pure phyiscal energy and using it in place of chow, like say, a cheeseburger. Earlier this year, about February, I had run out of money and food and was living with a complete and utter pig. It was so bad that I had to pay rent, and have nothing left over after electricity. I was also practicing telekinesis at the time, when a thought struck me: if I can raise physical energy to move a needle, could I also use it in place of the food I'm lacking? So I set down my meditation rug, cleared, grounded, centered, and raised as much physical energy as I could muster, more than I had ever raised for TK. It was so heavy, I was so used to regular energy that I had some trouble containing it. I gave the energy a positive, nutritious quality, and bound it to my tummy. My tummy stopped rumbling, and I became "full" within 20 minutes. I felt refreshed, even after sleep, I felt stronger after a few hours, I felt fine. I only had to do this once a day, but I never had to eat any food. I lost some weight, but I didn't lose muscle mass. This kept me going for a few days, until I ate food - get this - not because the energy failed me, but because I couldn't stand going on with a crappy point in my life WITHOUT SOMETHING TASTY!!! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/06.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/8.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mf_popcorn.gif) So who here has tried something like this, and how did it turn out? QUOTE The only energy food possesses is that which the soul gives unto it. I've heard this in many different forms from many different people. I haven't heard something like this before, but what are you getting at? Does it mean that we only need to eat because we think we do, or what? o_O QUOTE On an off-note I've heard pythagoras required his students to fast for 40 days before receiving his most precious teaching (warning do not attempt). Yeouch... I don't know if I could keep it going for that long. I've tried contacting him before, it seems like whoever needs to get a hold of him now needs to solve some kinda psycho extra-dimensional craptacular math problem of doom or some garbage. Mmm - a friend of mine linked me months ago to a website about a monk who hadn't eaten in years, and all the sustenance he took was from the sun at sunrise and sunset. I did a little searching for you, so that you have a bit more than one sentence of information from myself: http://www.chrysalisyog.homestead.com/manek.htmlhttp://www.sungazing.com/home.htmlHopefully that gives you something to work with.

The value of an individual is not numerically assignable. Given the individual's infinite capacity to affect change (for better or for worse), it follows that their value is just as infinite. Logically then, not only are all individuals of equal value, but all possible combinations and groupings of individuals are of equal value, and finally, no matter an individual's past actions, their capacity to affect positive change is not diminished.
The value of the individual is sacrosanct, but actions must be directed in an effort to affect positive change.

It's definatly possible, as I've done it for one day (I know, I know, not exactly a scientific test, but it's true!) My "technique" (which it isn't really) was just to absorb through my etheric body the surrounding earth current, and sunlight. In my minds eye, I raise my arms in the position of the Q.Cross, and pore breath the energy in. (Ambient, to Etheric, to Physical, and focus part of it inside my stomach, feeling my stomach absorb the needed energy to live, and that energy going into the rest of my body. The rest of the energy is breathed in directly).
Doing so took about 5-10min (not sure exactly, I was starving, lol!), and I repeated it at intervals (not sure how many, perhaps 4?)
Also, I've noticed that when doing the Q. Cross, or Solar Ritual (in particular), or just sucking up plain energy (In particular), it feels like I'm drinking liquid food, and being nourished therefrom. This is noticed more when there has been a fairly long absence from daily ritual. When you get a chance, drink the moon, it taste good (amongst other things).
-F.F. (Yes, I'm serious)
