Ashnook - I hope that you and Nero will inform us when your book is finished and ready to be purchased. After several years of quietly observing various conversations regarding the paradigm revealed through the Necronomicon, I must admit that I haven't encountered anyone else who has approached it with the combination of respect, clarity, and the demonstrated desire both to practice and to teach it as I've noticed from reading your, and Nero's, posts here.
I also hope that with your combined abilities and experience working with this system, the two of you will bring forth more information - in the form of philosophical explanations, mythological elaborations and expansions, in addition to practical exercises for working with this system.
I have those hopes because (if you will forgive me for making this crude parallel), I remember when very minimal sources were available to provide such information for the Enochian paradigm. A few brave individuals knuckled down and provided more - the highest quality of which did not come from parroting what notorious groups previously offered - but which came, instead, from devoted practitioners who knew of where they spoke from both scholarship and experience.
I've only read Simon's Necronomicon. I never took the step to practice according to it, because further information (of the kind I mentioned earlier) from practicing Mages (I am uncertain if that is the correct term for referencing practioners. Perhaps it the right term is Cleric or Priest?) was unavailable.
I suspect that more in-depth examinations would be very welcome to many.

QUOTE(Praxis @ Aug 12 2005, 07:00 AM) I must admit that I'm somewhat surprised that new grimoires that expand with further explanations, rituals, philosophy, cosmology, mythos, etc... - have not been published by those who use the Necronomicon. Oh, I can assure you there has been published books like that. I have just forgotten the names of the writers and the books. Like, there was this extensive guide to the necro written by this guy... oh, I am forgetful. -thief

I went to amazon.com and checked out the 28 books listed there. Simon's works aside, there were some of Geiger's artbooks, a couple of books exploring the history about the Necronomicon popularity, a couple of books exploring cinematic usages of the Necronomicon, and a couple of books that seemed to be presenting their texts as if they were the "original" Necronomicon.
There were two listed there that seem as if they are somewhat what I've been talking about are Tyson's Necronomicon and Hine's Pseudonomicon - but even then, I have reservations about Tyson being more of an opportunist than a practitioner, and I haven't read Hine's.
I still think that it would be cool to read some grimoires written by serious practitioners - who aren't just attempting to cash in, explore the history about the Necronomicon, talk about the movies, or pretend that their version is the "original".
Thanks for the suggestion to check that list out, chaoscrowley37.

The book is written to prove the Necronomicon is a fake but in the end just proves it has power and it is what the writers fear. Now Daniel Harms and John Wisdom Gonce III have ego's bigger than planet earth and will respond to you as a fool for using the Necronomicon. What is odd if Simon's Necronomicon is fake and has no power then what do they fear. They have a curse in the end of the book warning you if you attack them I will put it here for all to see. A GEAS IS PLACED ON ALL WHO READ THIS This book will cause a great displeasure to purveyors of the occult"disinformation." While all are free to criticize it verbally, no one may attack the authors of the book, psychically, astrally,or magickally.Should you seek to attack the authors of this book, their mates, famlilies, friends, agents, heirs, pets , or property by telepathic poisoning, foul thought forms, ensouled elementals, sending demons and Qlippothic entites, psychic or astral vampirism, or by any other means whatsoever, fierce modes of defense shall return all entities and energies back to you, the senders , multiplied sevenfold, there to wreak whatever vengeance is karmically just. If you persist thereafter in your attacks, the foul things you seek to control will devour you so that the horror of your destruction will become the stuff of legend , a tale frighten children in the night, and a proverb for generations yet unborn. CAVEAT MALFACTORES ISTHAR LAMASSU UMANISHU DIVA VULT DEUS VULT The Silent Dragon wiped out Arafat with magick I don't see much with these two. War with them would be like a Sunday walk in the park. Remember the Necronomicon has no power if they say it enough to themselves they will still get blasted So Be It!!
