Hello My name is George. I was born on june 4th 1974 at 9:54 am in Gainesville florida Moon Conjunct Neptune on a lunar eclipse and Mars smack on my ascendant. I have been unable to find out the significance of being born on a lunar eclipse or further moon conjunct neptune on a lunar eclipse which I bet should be pretty rare. Any clues?
Hi George. Eclipses have long held great fear for the mortals of this earth. They were regarded as being the portents of evil. So it is that in astrology, eclipses falling conjunct or in opposition to a natal planet have been granted the potential for all sorts of catastrophes. As in an eclipse astronomically, so in astrology the eclipse has the effect of overshadowing whatever planet or angle it comes into contact with. It may just be that the effect of an eclipse is to put some aspect of life into the dark while perhaps highlighting another area of unconsciousness requiring greater attention; facing the dark side.
Like me and like most people near our age range, you were born when the generational influence of Neptune was in Sagittarius. The moon was also in Sagittarius during your time of birth. Your north node was in Sagittarius too. The North node is an influence that you'll find yourself aspiring towards. Sagittarius is in the fifth house of creativity and passionate joy, which might be a little on the dark side in your life. Moon and Neptune affected by eclipsed Sagittarian energy could indicate difficulty and struggle with the the big picture and worldly philosophy on a mystical and emotional level. It could indicate a darkening of the Sagittarian optimism towards victory, but perhaps an enlightening of darker mysticism and emotional grief too.
