Greetings Dear ones:

Heres some tips to add some html to your posts:
just copy paste these codes in your post messages. You can change the numerical values also

TIP NO. 1 Marquees

explanation:
  • WIDTH: how wide the marquee is
  • HEIGHT: how tall the marquee is
  • DIRECTION: which direction the marquee will scroll: DIRECTION=LEFT or DIRECTION=RIGHT
  • BEHAVIOR: what type of scrolling: BEHAVIOR=SCROLL, BEHAVIOR=SLIDE or BEHAVIOR=ALTERNATE
  • SCROLLDELAY: how long to delay between each jump: SCROLLDELAY=n i.e. if n=1000 the delay would be 1 second
  • SCROLLAMOUNT: how far to jump: SCROLLAMOUNT=n n=the disance to move each time
  • LOOP: how many times to loop
  • BGCOLOR: background color
  • HSPACE: horizontal space around the marquee
  • VSPACE: vertical space around the marquee

Hi again.
Well as I just PM EsaNa about how to add pics on your signature or messages, here its goes.. though lots know how to do it.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For a picture, when you see the space where you type the text, there is a list of icons... the little icon with a tree allows you to put an image . but the image for the time cant be from your PC.. should be from the internet... like if you go on Sacred Magick and want the SM logo:
If using Mozilla firefox(netscape) just right click on the image and do "copy image location" (IMG:http://www.sacred-magick.org/style_images/grimoire1142433417/logo1.gif)when you click on the little tree icon, paste the link there...

If you use internet explorer , right click on the image and then do properties.. you will get a new window.. then you will see something like Address ( URL) ..copy the information it displays ..
something like http://www.sacred-magick.org/style_images/...33417/logo1.gif
when you click on the little tree icon, paste the link there...

For today:

Tip 3:

This is not directly related to what you can do on the SM post but, it gives you an idea of what a web browser like internet explorer or netscape displays to you:

Here it goes:

open a text editor like notepad.
type the following:

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>
A Small Hello
</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<H1>Hi</H1>
<P>This is very minimal "hello world" HTML document.</P>
</BODY>
</HTML>


save the file as hello.html

now open internet explorer, do file open and then browse for the hello.html

Voila, its your first web page...



what does the above codes mean:
<HTML> means that there will be html content in it..
normally any HTML code will have its quivalent delimiting or end-code notation . for e.h <html> will have </html> to denote the end

a html document will have a head part that containd information and a body part that has what id to be showed on the browser..
the title also appears on the top left of the window
<h1> is when putting a header of size 1... try with 2 , 3 ...
dont forget to put </h1> after what you want to appear as header

<p> stands for new paragraph

well work on that folks and i'll come back on another lesson soon..

Thanks again, I like these little tutorials they really helps (and I don't feel so clueless after I read them). The pic is kool, I thought it was simple yet fitting. I must admit though I am quite envious of your ankh, that would have to be my favourite symbol next to the leminescate. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hands.gif)

How to Upload a clip or video on the internet so that others might see it online :-)
hihi.. I am going to upload a small clip so that you might have a look at it online.
I am going to used a free hosting web site for this where you can upload file free.. But its not necessarily the only site that does it..

well keep your video file (better WMA or Avi Format)
1st step: Go to http://home.badongo.com and sign up for a free account (at the bottom of the page)

2nd step : login in your account and click upload file:

3rd step: browse for your video file and then select it.. put a small descrition for your pesonal use and if the video is mature or not( this is because the website hosting it need these info)

while the file is uploading, you can see the % at the botton of the page

4th step After the upload, codes will be presented to you to choose...

you can either directly give the link to a friend for him to type on his internet explorer or netscape
Direct Link:( http://www.badongo.com/vid/144010 )

or you can insert a hyperlink to your page or SM post for someone to access and view the clip.
HTML Code: (works also on Myspace)
<a href="http://www.badongo.com/vid/144010" target="_new">Click here</a>

From the link, you can either view the movie online or download it from the options given to you..(when you click on download, you will be directed to another page. wait for 30 seconds and a button will appear near the top right corner of the page.. click on the button when it appears)

I uploaded a clip while doing this tip.. So you can view the clip i put..

Note that if your browser need to install plugins for the file format, do so.. I can take sometime for you to be able to view the file if its a big video..
