Greetings, all!

My name is Tara, and I'm new to the forums here. I've been practicing magick for about 12 years now. My first exposure to magick was via Wicca. Since then I have moved on to other areas, and my current studies are in the fields of Enochian, Evocation, Necromancy (Palo style), and Hoodoo/Rootwork. I have an academic interest in many other paths, however. As far as religion goes, I am a Hellenic Reconstructionist.

I was referred to SacredMagick.com by one of my teachers. Her name is Athena, and she posts here from time to time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I am actually apprenticed to her, and also help her make powders, oils, and incenses, as well as other things.

Well, I suppose that is all there is to tell. lol! I look forward to some interesting discussions. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Tara

Hello Tara!
What is a Hellenic Reconstructionist? I'm unfamiliar with that term.
Welcome aboard and make yourself at home! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Welcome to the forums! Athena teaching rootwork now? Hey, we need some more rootworkers here. I was starting to feel lonely. Aha. Welcome. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hellenic Reconstructionist refers to recreating the ancient Greek religious practices. It involves a lot of scholarship, research and work such as learning the language of the culture so as to be able to read primary documents.
Welcom Tara to this little neck of the woods. People are friendly here and we seem to learn from each other's disparate fields of expertise.

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.

Ah yes, welcome indeed Sister!
I'm very happy to see a greek reconstructionist here. You guys are too few. I can't say I'm one myself. I love the culture and study it regularly, although I'm far too lazy to learn the language, lol.
But it is very true that all here learn from one another. There is a lot I don't know and I can always count on Sacred Magick to get some info or friendly help. I've been in the occult for
darn near eleven years, and I still find myself to be a beginner when among the folks here at Sacred Magick. Welcome.

Hello and thanks, all, for the warm welcome. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And I know what you mean. lol! 12 years in magick and I still feel like I know absolutely nothing 90% of the time. lol! I am glad to be here, though. I've been reading through the posts, and it seems like there's a lot of good discussions going on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Blessings, all!

Tara
