Ive had some luck with Dantalion. While the desired result did not manifest completly, his influence was still present. Whenever I would summon Dantalion, he would read my own thoughts and comment on them as well so be prepared for that.

In that case you would probably work with him over time, with each session bringing you new teachings and techniques on how do preform those tasks. Like any magickal ability it will take some work to develop but I would certainly reccomend Dantalion for the role of teacher here.

what did he look like? The Key says what he looks like but I rather hear it from sight seen then a book

I offered incense and bread during the initial ritual, though the person that I was summoning him for offered to Tattoo his seal on theirself. When he appeared in the black mirror I only saw a blur so I started working with him using my "astral vision" or "third eye." In this way he appeared as many heads, but none were connected to a body.

I have found that Dantalion can be worked with quite well if you take the time out to get to know her.
Wow, a tattoo of the seal, that is a pretty large commitment. It is basically like being married to the spirit. You end up having the presence around continuosly as well as allow influence by them. I would only recommend that if that spirit is the client's patron Daemon and they have worked with them for at least a couple of years.

I have had Daemons state that my clients must have necklaces made (ruby or pure gold, or silver). However even with that, I recommend that they wear then only one day a week, unless they have a working relationship with the Daemon like stated above.

I have found Dantalion to be quite good for matters of love and lust, but like many of the Daemons, will not help me with client work if the love interst the person is after is a complete jerk or bad for the person LOL.

I understood Dantalion to be androgynous, and thereby having the sensitivity of both genders was not easily offended, but rather fragile and does not take kindly to the harshness and abrasive sophistication of humans.

I have a triangle of the art that stands up against the wall. I placed the mirror inside the triangle than performed the analysis of the key word after which I began staring at the sigil and calling his name. After I began to enter a slightly altered state from chanting his name I began peering at the mirror and commanded him to appear by the power of the word "Tetragrammaton."

I perceived Dantallion to be male, though in actuallity spirits are neither male nor female. Some of them have "femenine" energy or "masculine" energy which makes our mind put an image of male or female on them. If Dantallion was radiating femenine energy when Athena summed him/her than Athena would have percieved a female. Trust your own judgement on the matter Brilliant Shrine, as you will find that when working wtih spirits the ancient or medieval grimoires almost always say "male" even though some have and will appear as females to quite a many of magickians.

To Alafair, Athena and, Ashnook I want to say I appreciate all of your help and your Kind responses as I am very thankful for it and found it a delight to read your words.

I will attempt to contact Dantalion within 1 week. I am however very green, I have done nothing of the sort before and I for one have never even attempt a spell, not even a love spell. so if it is not asking too much would any of you or all of you mind leaving an email for me to contact you for guidance or intructions to walk me threw either here or in my private messages?

Good luck in your struggles, but a word of advice/warning. Evocation is a fairly high-level magical skill. I'm not saying you can't do it, not by any means, but if you're as green as you say, learning basic things like banishing formulas, the Middle Pillar, and some form of Opening by Watchtower/Calling the Quarters will serve you in VERY good stead. You'll also just want to spend time practising your visualisation skills, as well as some form of scrying and possibly astral travels. These skills are the foundation for ALL magical work, not just evocation. They're not as hard as they sound either, although you may have to work a bit in the beginning while you get used to them.

Konstantinos, for all his "I'm so Gothic my dog barks Bauhaus" attitude, has actually written a very good primer for this very subject. It's called Summoning Spirits and it walks you through the process from beginning to end, as well as giving you a good basic set of exercises to do as preliminary work. A couple of his other books, like Gothic Grimoire and Nocturnal Witchcraft also give some really good energy work pieces to do, if you can get through the tedium of his being over-the-top Goth at times.

Now, if Dantalion is calling YOU all bets are off. I've had things like that happen before.

Brilliant Shine . . . Ashnook basically gave you a non-grimoiric style evocation.
Why aren't the conjurations of the grimoires right? . . . they've worked for a lot of people.

Sometimes its best to do it the "traditional" (even if wrong) way, then move the process into more personal and appropriate directions after you gain the foundementals of the practice.

If you don't know anything else to do, but simply won't use grimoiric approaches .... maybe start off with making the spirit's seal and doing some meditation and trance-work with it. After which you could practice some lite communication with a pendulum (or whatever).
(I would initially use protective ritua and tools . . . just until you know how the "match" is)

But practicing the basics and foundementals of magick (trance, astral presence, energyworking, grounding, protective aura) . . . are going to be essential to successful work. Many of those are developed in the course of ritual practice (hence some of the reasons its so often recommended)
