Greetings
So when you're back on the physical after a wake-induced astral projection ,
how do you remember the projection , is the memory vivid ,
like it just happened?
or does it all feel like a dream?
bruce's view on this only confused me more
what's yours?

It depends. In my first obe i was so excited that it was a simple matter of laying in bed not moving (at all) after awakeing and than digging back into the dream. Usually if you never open your eyes and do not move after wakeing re-call is easy. To keep up the memory write down your regular and any dreams at first. After a while you will remember so much detail that you will want to cut it down to key points like heiroglyphics (common for me to see) symbols, names, and key words or instructions on how to return to a particular place. Also i tend to always right down the location or seen as close as i can. It really depends on the drem and how it feels as to how much you write.
So memory for obe is like dreaming it can fade but it seems to stick in the miind better than a lucid dream. On some occasins you will wake and its perfect as if you remember just doing everything like you were awake. ok well alot of people never even remember awake at this point (robots). But its as if you were going about your daily life quite often. How you combine daily life and dream life is so important.

Greetings a113n2,

Yeah, Robert Bruce does seem to complicate matters, but in reality he is laying out very valuable theory to a metaphysical subject hardly ever studied as a science. For starters you can ignore his exegesis on dual mind splitting and the dreaming physical body vs. awake projected real time body. This is great knowledge if you want to understand the processes at work, but is unnecessary for carrying out a successfully Astral Projection.

Enochian's post actually reveals the key (ala Bruce method) for remembering your AP. Excitement and emotion as you re-enter the physical body will ensure that you remember your OOBE. This will be a natural response during your first few successfully attempts...just remember to keep the enthusiasm in the future. Simply reminding yourself of how cool, scary, or wonderful the experience is tends to work.

Also, while there may be a dream-like element to the wake induced astral projection, there is a clear difference even when compared to Lucid Dreams (or at least in my experiences). You will know the difference and remember your first successful projection.

Greetings,

The above posts are spot on, I've got nothing to add there.lol
But I do one small technique that's helped me quite a bit in remembering projections, escpecially in the early days.
If at all possible, just before waking up, before you 're-enter' your body, give yourself a command. Tell yourself very strongly and clearly, "I WILL REMEMBER THIS!"
It seems to me to act like a bit of pre-programming. Or like adding a door to a room you just built. You give yourself an easy access to said room without having to break through the newly built wall. Anyway, good luck.
Peace.

Yes perfect. I will expand more on meditations and chakra and tarot and how to obe while useing these things more in the thread called the art of spirit walking. One other thing you can do is assure yourself through the day that you will remember dreams as well as awake life. I prefer seraphims I WILL REMEMBER THIS. Dont follow any one single book or author thats a huge no no at least in my book. I remember at one time thinking Castaneda was the end all on dreaming practice. And he is genius. But ive added much that was given to me by higher self and by other writers. I plan to put it all in book form someday soon.
Keep up the dream work i look forward to getting all your guys help with Magick very soon.
