Conjure the fire god.
Light the fire.

Baad Angarru! Ninnghizhidda!
Thee I invoke serpent of the deep!
Open Ninnghizhidda!
Open that I may enter!
Ninnghizhidda spirit of the deep Watcher of the gate remember!
In the name of our father before the flight Lord and master of magicians open that I may enter!
Open lest I attack the gate!
Open lest I break down its bars!
Open lest I leap over it by force!
Open the gate lest I cause the dead to rise and devour the living!
Open the gate lest I make the dead outnumber the living!
Ninnghizhidda spirit of the deep watcher of the gate open!
May the dead rise and smell the incense!

Burn the bread.

Call out your ancestors name or the name of the dead person you are calling 3 times.

Uug uduug uuga gishtugbi! <This is said to make the spirit take more solid form. Ashnook translates it as Difficult storm raven clothe the shade with fire.>

Commune with the dead person. Talk to it etc.

The banishing.

Barra uug uduug uugga!

Would u please tell of what formula is needed to close the gate after u are done--or even after u have called the spirit--close the gate--reopen it to send the spirit back and reclose it again. I found that spirits wander out when u open the gate. I would like to avoid this from happening again.

The Nec says to read pg 166 – 180. The nec says to read the story of Inanna and the underworld from the Magan text to close all gates.

That’s too much reading for me. I start on pg 174 and read through 180 just about how she rose.

Thats what I figured--I agree--that is way too long! While were at it lets get War and Peace out and read that out loud! LOL. Cool, I will keep that in mind the next time I do experiment w/ that. i would give everyone a story about my last experiment but I feel that is not in good taste to tell everyone and their grandma about it--IT IS NOT EVERYONES BUSINESS!

Greetings'netzgewebe,

The agga mass ssaratu should be lit at the word Kakkammanunu the last word of the fire God conjuration.

This may be a seemingly unreasonable question to some, but I'll leave it to whoever votively chooses to answer.

What is the difference between the "Necronomicon" calling of the dead, and a non-Necronomicon calling of the dead? Can someone construe this for me?

Is it somewhat better to work with the Necronomicon? Or is it more convenient in some ways?

Thank you.

O yeah... and Happy new year!

Greetings'DeathStalker',

The only difference is the method. You can obtain the same result s by different methods. As long as you get from point a to point b that is all that matters. It is just a matter of preference and taste.
It is excellent to know more than one method to obtain a result. The more methods you know the greater your understanding of all those ways from point a to point b. You will notice that some methods seem harder to obtain the same result. Just as a Porsche will get you across the Country faster than a motorcycle. With the motorcycle it is a bumpy ride and if you want to not have an unfortunate accident then you will drive slower than you would with the Porsche. The rough ride is hell on the body after a few hundred miles. You will need to stop more often than with the Porsche. However driving a Porsche is not as much fun as riding the motorcycle.

Magick is the same way. Everyone will be able to obtain the same results by different methods. According to thier own skills and tastes.

I answered your question above. You light the agga mass ssaratu. That is the sacrifice bowl for the Bandar.

You must be confusing the Directional Gates Braziers with the agga mass ssaratu. For Necromantic workings do not open the directional gates. The Watchtowers will work against you in operation. The four watchtowers power may prevent Ganzir from opening altogether.

Unless you are refffering to the brazier on pg 38. If you have a Brazier it is better to light it first via the fire God Conjuration and the the Bowl during the Bandar Invocations. Having a brazier is not crucial to the work.

For example when Gate Walking I have found it more trouble than its worth two keep fire going in 4 directional bowls a brazier and the agga mass ssaratu. Thats six fires to watch and make sure they dont get out of control. I have found that candles work fine for the directional gates unless it is windy and then I use a rubbing alchohal based fuel <As charcoal is out of season.> I rarely use the brazier. If I do I just load up the charcoal grill and make a huge fire. I usually do this if I am giving a huge sacrifice only.

Let me see if i understood:

First we do god of fire conjuration
Then we lit aga mass ssaratu

Baad Angarru! Ninnghizhidda!

Open Ninnghizhidda!
Open that I may enter!
Ninnghizhidda spirit of the deep Watcher of the gate remember!

May the dead rise and smell the incense!

Then what do you mean by burn the bread?

the rest i get it, what's confusing me is the burn the bread and the lit the fire thing from the beggining, please help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif)

Greetings netzgewebe,

The best way to glean what needs be done is to study the Book Of Entrance pg 37.

The Altar faces the North. On it you place images of the God and Goddess. <Note I have never done this as I dont like to use images and everything has always gone fine.>

We are instructed that the bowl and the brazier goes on the altar on pg 38. However this conflicts with what we are later told that the bowl goes between the two circles.

I do not use the two circles as through sorcery I am trying to also invoke the powers into myself. I do not feel the need for the protection of the circles as my Bandar is sacrificed to daily and has no problems eating any idimmu attracter to the operation.

Pg 46 instructs us to light via the Fire God Comjuration the brazier and pour on the incense.

I usually light stick incense and then COnjure the fire god directly into Bandars bowl. I like to think its more powerful that way. None of this is written in stone however. You can alter it slightly as long as you dont get too far away from the guidelines and it will work just as well.

Read pg 37 - 49 and let me know if you have any questions.

Peace

Greetings Eabatu,

I think you will find that none of the real Gate walkers post their experiences on this forum. Gate walking is a personal experience. Something sacred. The people who do post a lot on gates or astral experiences are usually just bragging. Perhaps not all but certainly some are just ego stroking. For example Dark Goddess experience I think was really cool. However some other people are just posting to brag. Making many threads to say "Hey look at me!"

Point taken

Peace

I'm glad you liked the experience.
I just wanted to clarify something. The reason I posted on the foprums is I didn't have the posts to create a blog yet. Also, I don't post anywhere near all of my experiences on my blog. I hope no one thinks I've been bragging.

--------------------
To these I turn, in these I trust;
Brother Lead and Sister Steel.
To his blind power I make appeal;
I guard her beauty clean from rust.

He spins and burns and loves the air,
And splits a skull to win my praise;
But up the nobly marching days
She glitters naked, cold and fair.

Sweet Sister, grant your soldier this;
That in good fury he may feel
The body where he sets his heel
Quail from your downward darting kiss.

I did not think you were bragging which is why I mentioned I was not referring to you. I did not want someone who had read your post to think I was talking about you. I feel your experience was genuine and not something posted just to sound cool. Sorry for the confusion. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush2.gif)

The calling section in the gates of the necronomicon tell you when the gate is open or able to be opened.

Hi all!

Just a quick question, from a newbie, so not trying to be disrespectful or anything! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hmm.gif)

I am interested in the Calling of the Dead for many reasons - a main one being to learn from them...
Would it be even possible to call on the Mad Arab (i.e is he still around, reincarnated, was he totally destroyed, did he even exist, did he use false names or something else?) and ask him for teaching on the Nec and magic in general? Maybe even ask him what he did wrong?! He could be a great source of knowledge!

Just a thought!

Greetings

in my opinion and my opinion alone, i would not attempt calling the dead at least until one has walked the gates and passed the gate of the dead queen. I believe that you would at least need the proper name of the dead and an image of them at least in your mind to aid yourself in calling forh the proper dead one from the hordes in ereskigals lair.Nergal is also of great help in this matter.

When calling upon a dead one,i doesnt hurt to have the King and Queen of the lair of the dead,i.e Nergal and Ereskigal on your side, and you in thier good books..just a thought.

Greetings,

It's absolutely possible to call the dead. And I do so on a regular basis. The most efficient and effective method I've found for this is to begin communing with the Fifty Names spirit Namtillaku. He is the Lord of the Dead and can grant you the power to communicate and work extensively with them.
And by 'communing' with Namtillaku I mean to summon him every day and sit silently after asking him to fill you with his essence. Afterwards just burn some incense to him in thanks, (a mix of patchouli and pine works very well here).
As for calling the Mad Arab, I've got no idea on that. I tend to doubt he ever existed, but ya never know. Even if he didn't it may still be possible to summon and interact with his thoughtform. With so many people reading about him and thinking about him this past century since Lovecraft either discovered or created the character I'm sure a heck of a lot of astral energy has been directed into such a thoughtform.
And speaking of such a thoughtform, any Chaotes out there care to opine on this?

Also, good points Rishi Bhrigu. I did not consider that maybe my having walked all but the last of the Visible Gates may be affecting my experiences here. Although I think it would also be a matter of how one wished to work with the dead. As you pointed out, calling up a specific spirit without having ''conquered'' the Dark Queen's realm would be considerably more difficult.
However, I cannot stress enough the dangerous nature of Ereshkigal. Unless you are a dedicated Priest/Priestess of the Lady such as Darkgoddess, I feel working with her on any significant level is to swim in treacherous waters.
And one final note. It does say specifically that Namtillaku is capable of bringing you contact with the Dead without alerting Ereshkigal and Nergal to the fact. So just work with this carefully Sephiroth, but by all means do experiment.
Peace,
Lugal Nosotro Tehuti.

I think as for calling the Mad Arab, his soul was probably taken to a place you´d rather not search in, if the Testimony part 2 is to be believed...

[Greetings 'nyechna,

Yes it sounds like The Igigi made a finger sandwich out of him. I have noticed that the Bandar devours the souls of demons. I believe the Ancient Ones are simular as we know that the Nec tells us originally the Bandars were Ancient Ones. The Bandars switched sides before the big battle of the cosmos. So I think its fair to guess that the Mad Arab has no soul left to conjure.

Peace!

In refference to Nostoro Tehuti's citation for Namtillaku.

Enuma Elish

Namtillaku is eight.
In the shadow of death he discovered life.
It was thought they were made all new
conjured from death at his word
until the reckless rout
submit to his will

Different translation

(8) NAMTILLAKU,The god who maintains life,"'
Who restored the lost gods, as though his own creation; The lord who revives the dead gods by his pure incantation, Who destroys the wayward foes. Let us praise his prowess!...
Asaruludu, whose name was thirdly called

Lets first rotate our Spellbook pg 35 or Necronomicon pg 128 ninety degrees to the right. After you turn the book ninety degrees to the right you will see that death is smiling at you. Now who says death is not funny? To me this sigil looks like a smiley face turned side ways.

I believe this to be an angel of the race of Azrael <angel of death> Or perhaps Azrael himself. Although I have spoken with Azrael many times Namtillaku has never confirmed to me that he is Azrael. Both spirits have been very friendly towards me when called. Azrael has passed me over a few times when he could have taken my life so for him I have great affinity. I think its pretty common for people who become active with the Necronomicon at some point or another to speak with the dead. At least everyone who I know personally has.

I have spoken with Namtillaku in a graveyard on the upper west side of Manhattan <Around 150 St and Broadway> that is always full of spirits. <Orbs of light wander there.> I did not really sense much death like about Namtillaku. He seemed to give off a happy energy. The graveyard in which I sometimes sit on sleepless nights seems to have a lot of spirit activity. Perhaps Namtillaku was just happy to be summoned in such a place. That graveyard is full of the energy of the dead yet somehow very peaceful.

"We have wandered into a state of prolonged neurosis because of the absence of a direct pipeline to the unconscious and we have then fallen victim to priestcraft of every conceivable sort. "

QUOTE
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
