I had a lovely surprise this morning in my inbox - I got an invite to join the brand new Avalonia discussion forums.

I am particularly pleased about this as the membership looks to be based in London where I live, whereas most of the friends I have made on other boards live in the US or down under.

Anyone else interested? Click here: http://avaloniabooks.co.uk/forum/index.php

I have Becoming Magick which is really useful as it has the classical planetary kameas in for the sigils - although I do think these are in my Golden Dawn book too, but this little book is light and easy to carry around.

It also has information on the kalas, which I know nothing about at all, apparently they are from Kenneth Grant; I think I could get very interested in working with them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Greetings Radiant Star!
I'd be more than alittle cautious when using the kalas...especially if the info has been authored by Grant. I've studied Grant now for many years and he has unfortunatly fallen off the sanity scale... His workings with the 'lefthand' path are interesting. If Rankine mentions the kalas, I'd check his sources. More can be found (and no less suspect) with Michael Bertiaux and the Monestary of the Seven Rays. Thanks! Cheers for that Bym, interestingly, since that, things have changed a little and I have moved away from sigils and similar for now.

I find the Avalonia site very useful as an all round site, especially since it highlights London events.
