Okay, this isn't going to make a whole lot of sense, because I do not yet have enough information to have a fully formed opinion. I've come across a few references lately saying that there are often connections between Hypoglycemia and expending too much magical energy (you know that needly feeling when your fingers start twitching, when you're working with lots of compact energy? Symptom, apparently). Does anyone know anything about this? Much appreciated, thanks.

I have not read any information on it, but I consistently crave sugar after any kind of magickal work, and any focused, prolonged use of psychic faculties of any kind - from tk practice to speaking with ghosts.

So, in my opinion and experience, I'd say it's probably true for at least some people. Did you find this information written down somewhere? I'd be really interested to take a look.

like climbing a mountain, magickal work burns huge amounts of calories (unless you get to the mad uncontrollable humping part...oh wait thats something else), so naturally you are going to need a sugar boost after

i've seen some reports of ischemia (electrolytes out of whack) that could be answered with gatorade or the like, but usually its just homemade oatmeal cookies and mugwort tea for me and mine since they also help the jitters by resupplying calories in an easier to digest form instead of sugar or the evil high fructose corn syrup in most processed sweets

some say the apre' jitters are energy needing grounding, but that sounds to me like they didn't shoot all the bullets they made
