Many of you will probably have heard about the terrible bushfires in Victoria recently. In addition to those and freakish, anomalously high heat (up to 46C this last summer) we have, for the most part, had absolutely no rain.

I have, however, intermittently been praying earnestly for the last two days to Lord Indra, the Hindu God of rain and storms, who is very similar to Thor in a lot of ways. At around 8:30 this evening local time, for a period of probably 60-90 minutes, we had steady but light rain, the most I can recall in recent memory, and within that period it also became quite heavy for a few minutes.

The drought here feels very unnatural, as we have had cloud cover for probably the last two weeks; it is generally very overcast, and I feel as though something is actually holding the rain back.

Although it is tiring, I am going to continue to pray to and attempt to channel energy to Indra, in an attempt to get the rain to continue. I am worried that maybe the reason why it stopped earlier tonight when it did was because of my own arrogance; while continuing to praise him, I also reflected that perhaps the emergence of the rain also made a positive statement about my own development as a magician.

In addition to posting this to gain public recognition for Indra, I would ask for anyone who is willing, to channel some of their own energies to this process, (or possibly perform whatever type of working is appropriate to your own paradigm) as rain is desperately needed in Victoria, the southeastern state of Australia, where I live.
