Henna Magick, a book in progress Options

Hello,
I'm a henna artist and a practicing witch. When I went looking for a book that incorporated henna into ritual I came up with nothing (I even asked a few local stores to do searches for me). So, I said well if I can't find one I'll write one instead.
Henna Magick will be a book that includes a brief overview of what henna is and how to use it then show how henna can be incorporated into rituals (birth, wedding, protection, etc).

Have you used henna before for magickal purposes?
Have you incorporated henna into a ritual?

If you'd like I'd love to use soem of your testimonials in the book but this thread is mostly to get ideas brewing on henna and magick combos.

Sounds intresting... what is Henna used for normally, point and purpose etc?

Would be very much surprised if it wasn't attached to some kind of understanding within its culture and even more surprised if it didn't have a higher meaning attached from there... would have thought it would be related to Palmisty already but there you go. Your book sounds intresting, hope it dosen't step on any cultural toes but manages to do well.

I think that in some cultures they use henna designs for good luck symbols, or symbols for a happy marriage, etc. I think there is a book out on pagan religious tattooing which might give you some ideas. The one I saw even gave out a sample of the rituals used when doing the tattoos. Anyhow it seems like an idea with some potential.
