Not occult, but still cool - Endeavor and the ISS just cruised over our place, two sparks in the black eternity of the night sky falling southeast as they receded into infinity.

Opta ardua pennis astra sequi. - "They choose hardship that follow the stars on wings." (Virgil, Aeneid, IX). Maybe "Those who would fly to the stars have chosen a diffcult path" is a good transliteration.

I just always thought it would be cool to ride a column of fire into the sky and fall home at 16,000mph. No one, to my knowledge, has practiced the Art in low orbit, but there's always a chance... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
