Ever since I've started to take interest into the occult and started to work with summoning I have always wondered whether servitors are actually seperate beings or just an extension of ourselves. I would think that since we create them and use are energy to give them life they must be apart of us but then I here these stories of servitors becoming stronger than their creators and running amok!
So any info on this would be greatly appriciated.

Thank You (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chuckyani.gif)

Greetings BloodArchon!

You create the servitor...it is a part of you. But...if you objectify it and treat it as a separate entity, then given the strength of the creation and other integral parts of its construction, the servitor can become ...detached. This can happen when we fail to give the servitor a terminal program or when we don't think things through when creating these 'robots'. Servitors can range from simple thoughtform machines to very complex entities. All sorts of mischief has occured when mages create these things with an open ended termination clause. The lower astral is filled with this crap. Bardon gives some very good outlines in the creation of these constructs. When created responsibly these constructs will perform their function and then they should be terminated. Servitors that are not treated in this manner can perpetuate themselves by feeding off the creator or some poor innocent. Bad news. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/butcher.gif)

From my experience, which hasn't been too lengthly, but good non the less, a servitor is a part of you. It came from your will, thought and focus for creation.

Although, as bym said, it is highly possible that it can detach if not programmed correctly. I've never had to worry about that myself, but I can see it happening.

Thank You, I haven't actually tried to make one yet as I am just starting to get into magick, I have been mainly been practicing things such as telepathy, telekenisis, exc, exc, and I have found that psionics and magick are actually not so different. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wandwizard.gif)

In my humble opinion...both. Just as you are part of your parents, but inherintly seperate, I see it as the same with servitors, we are there creators, and therefore take on the role of parent almost, and while they are formed from a part of us, the act of creating one requires that you focus and seperate that energy from yourself to create another being...
