QUOTE(mediocracy @ Nov 9 2005, 11:16 AM) Some people here already think they ARE an incarnation of a mythical critter (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Realllllly? Welllllll, I guess I must have missed that thread. Phoenix in the early lead, quite a surprise to me really. I personally voted for unicorn. C'mon you dragon lovers, I know you're out there, vote now!

Kia Ora I voted for Phoenix. Was an easy choice for me as rebirthing is an essential part of my path! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Hey! This life is just a dream. As in any dream the sleeper can assume control. Magic is gaining that control and using that awakening to full advantageMarried for life, to my devoted wife, who I have neglected recently but will do no more.......... QUOTE(Beltaine @ Mar 19 2006, 12:48 PM) A quick google revelas a Kitsune is a fox? hope i'm correct. Wouldn't consider it mythological, but then again I know people who swear dragons aren't mythological either (IMG: style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif) Personal preference if not Wyvern then Yun-Long. As for phoenix, it is the female mate of dragons though one would think it Jiao-Long or Li-Long.

QUOTE(bym @ Mar 19 2006, 10:52 PM) Greetings gl2vector! QUOTE As for phoenix, it is the female mate of dragons though one would think it Jiao-Long or Li-Long. Just curious as to your source saying that the Phoenix is the female mate to dragons? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/flame.gif) Felicitations Master Bym, My source for saying that Phoenix is female mate of dragon would be Mistress Lin and Mistress Li, both of whom are from China and oddly enough somewhat conversant with Oriental dragons and their lore. That and a bit of perusal through translated Chinese texts. While Jiao-Long and Li-Long are both female dragons, they are generally homeless residents of lakes, marshes, or other deserted areas and are often considered either evil or of shadowed influence. Phoenix on the other hand is the symbol of female regeneration and the continuity of life. Should there be any other interrogatives please feel free. Vector
