QUOTE(Grab @ Apr 23 2006, 05:52 PM) Hello Smasher666,
I didn't exactly understand what you want to discuss in this thread. The only part of the Simon book I've used is the list of 50 names (and sigils). I've evoked a few of the 50 names, using a mix of a) the Spellbook format and b) GD rituals and c) the Goetia circle/triangle. It works fine, though they are a little more stubborn to leave than the Goetias.
As for results, I had one giving some result (although not 100%) and another totally failed, actually the exact opposite happened. Hello Grab, Here I intend to go through the 50 names and tell of my experiances with them as well as any enlightening information that I can offer. My experiances and knowledge of use for many of the 50 names goes outside of what is written in the Necronomicon spellbook. I am positive that Ashnook and Nero as well as other accomplished Ceremonial magicians or perhaps some like me more akin to sorcery can tell us more based on thier personal experiances with the 50 names. Everyone is welcome to post here on their personal experience with the 50 names. My goal is to extend knowledge of the uses of these spirits beyond what is in the Spellbook. In this thread I am looking for any knowledge about the use of the 50 names outside of what is written in the text. Interesting personal experiences and useful information. Good Hunting! Hello All Noble People, Concerning BARASHAKUSHU, i also can tell you that he fill you wil softness and you become more calm etc... I had some heart problems too.. Thanks to Ashnook, who advised me on this, i prayed to and used the spell book for Angel BARASHAKUSHU and can tell you that i feel much better... I can even say that a newbie can safely invoke him with the words "Come to Me by the Powers of the Word BAALDURUU".... Thanks Ashnook (IMG: style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif) and my Respects to BARASHAKUSHU. Edunpanna, as you are comparing the Nec. spirits with christian named angels, i would like some lightening or comparison to Eastern(Indian) myths.. Well The most supreme God of the Indian myth is SHIVA... There are some things that can be similar with sanskrit and sumerian languare, so anyone has an idea if he is one og the elder gods from the nec. ??? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) For the time i'm newbie.. so invocation of fire God is not for now!!! By the way i Know that Religion did not create the Gods as well as the names given to them.... God Existed.. People have used different names in different religions... I without any regret say prayers to Gods from the Hindu/Christian/Muslim/NEC (since recently) at a single time... However for invocation and evocations, eastern and western methods differ.... the eastern ones are more difficult to do... imagine doing a mantra of 20 words 1250000 times compared to the few minutes of LBRP,Middle pillar, evocation etc.... which can be done easily in 1 hr... The only difference i see is that the Eastern evocations are done to get Great powers etc but since recently i have found that with other systems, if a proper purification is done and the proper entity chosen, Gods and Spirits can be as generous in assigning these boons... Theres is 1 thing that intringues me... in Eastern tantra, the Kundalini is the awakening of the dormant "Serpant" that is connected to the 7 (i think) energy centers ... and the total awakening leads to divine enlightenment... However isnt this related to the sleeping serpent dreaming below earth from the necronomicon???? And isnt this on the negative end??? As for shiva, i was matching him to Marduk too.. But i am not so sure... Still if one could enlighten me more on this... May be when i'll start evocations i will try to ask the all knowing spirits about this... however shiva is also know as the Holy Spirit, the destroyer of evil, and the creator of new life, and sustainer of life, the cosmic lord. The 5th name of Marduk Luggaldimmerankia Loog-gahl-deem-meyr-ahn-kee-yah.
His word of calling is Banutukku. Bahn-oo-took-koo.
Lets first note that the word of calling Banutukku is much like the 17th name Tuku.
Enuma Elish
Lugaldimmerankia is five, King of the cosmos! Over the universe he is acclaimed!
What a noble spirit he must be to be acclaimed all over the universe! I have my thoughts about what angelic being this might be but as it has not been revealed to me as of yet I will hold my tongue. Update I have received confirmation since originally writing this and may now say that this spirit is the same as Raphael.
One thing cool about this spirit is when I close my eyes and envision the sigil in white light <as I do with all the signs of the Necronomicon> The sign moves rapidly twitching like a dragonfly in flight.
The two circles hang like eyes or perhaps antennas. The two arms in the front seem to be pushing something away. <Perhaps our difficulties?> It is the wing extending upward that moves most rapidly in my minds eye. Its wings flap so fast I can almost not see them. Like a humming bird.
The text in the spell book speaks truly. Indeed he can help you sort out difficult issues. He also has uses other than what is given. Lets keep in mind that these spirits are very powerful and are bound to have many uses far beyond what I can tell you. Like the 6th and 7th name saying his word of calling Banutukku can be most helpful. If in danger say Banutukku and he will rush to your aid. He is very easily summoned. His energy is, quite loving. Yet this is a spirit like Marutukku, who will at your beckoning jump, right in and attack whatever demons or negative spirits might be attacking you. He definitely has some sort of connection with the 17th name Tuku as Lugaldimmerankia is wonderful to protect you from enemies and black magick.
In Sumerian mythology, the utukku were a type of spirit or demon that could be either benevolent or evil. The evil utukku were called Edimmu or Ekimmu; the good utukku were called shedu. The utukku were supposed to do the will of Anu, the god of the heavens. There were Utukku of the plain, the mountains, the sea, and the grave. The Edimmu. This is generally, but wrongly, read Ekimmu, and translated "the seizer," from êkemu, "to seize." In reality, however, it was an ordinary spirit, and the word is used for the wraiths of the departed. The "evil Edimmu" was apparently regarded as attacking the middle part of a man.
Ban seems to mean banish. Raphael means the divine healer or God heals. In this it makes one wonder about the possible healing powers of Lugaldimmerankia. It is wise to note that often demonic forces are responsible for sickness. So the use of Lugaldimmerankia to fight demonic forces for a sick person is most prudent.
No wonder all over the universe he is acclaimed!

The 7th name is Asaruludu, ahs-ahr-ool-oo-doo
His word of calling is Banmaskim Bahn-mahs-keem
Enuma Elish
Asaruludu is seven the great magician this title came from Anu In time of peril their good leader By the deadly duel he fetched them rest.
From what the Enuma Elish tells us Asaruludu is a great magician.
The spellbook tells us that he oversees the race of watchers and that he ensures the most perfect safety when invoked.
The word Banmaskim makes demons take flight. Similar to Banrabishu 6th name and Banutukku 7th name.
Maskim means demon, evil fiend, lier in wait, Ban seems to mean banish.
This spirit comes readily when called. I use his sigil on my Bandar’s <the watcher> bowl to ensure that my Bandar acts lawfully. I have never had any problems with my watcher but it just seems a good measure of protection to have his over seer on my bowl.
Ashariludu is one of the names of the son of Enki <Marduk> in the Necronomicon. Ashariludu and Asaruludu are very similar spellings.
Lets look at the names of some more demons and spirits. Asakku is a name for an evil type of spirit.
The âlû. Regarded as the demon of the storm, and possibly, in its origin, the same as the divine bull sent by Ištar to attack Gilgameš, and killed by Enki-du. It spread itself over a man, overpowering him upon his bed, and attacking his breast.
The gallu. As this word is borrowed from the Sumerian galla, which has a dialectic form, mulla, it is not improbable that it may be connected with the word mula, meaning "star," and suggesting something which is visible by the light it gives — possibly a will o' the wisp — though others are inclined to regard the word as being connected with gala, "great." In any case, its meaning seems to have become very similar to "evil spirit" or "devil" in general, and is an epithet applied by the Assyrian king Aššur-bani-âpli to Te-umman, the Elamite king against whom he fought.
The îlu limnu, "evil god," was probably originally one of the deities of Tiawath's brood, upon whom Merodach's redemption had had no effect. The labartu, in Sumerian dimme, was a female demon. There were seven evil spirits of this kind, who were apparently regarded as daughters of Anu, the god of the heavens.
The labasu, in Sumerian dimmea, was apparently a spirit which overthrew, that being the meaning of the root from which the word comes.
The âhhazu, in Sumerian dimme-kur, was apparently so called as "the seizer," that being the meaning indicated by the root.
The lilu, in Sumerian lila, is generally regarded as "the night-monster," the word being referred to the Semitic root lîl or layl, whence the Hebrew layil, Arabic layl, "night." Its origin, however, is Sumerian, from Lila, regarded as meaning "mist." To the word lilu the ancient Babylonians formed a feminine, lilîthu, which entered the Hebrew language under the form of lilith, which was, according to the rabbins, a beautiful woman, who lay in wait for children by night. The lilu had a companion who is called his handmaid or servant.
The Namtaru was apparently the spirit of fate, and therefore of greater importance than those already mentioned. This being was regarded as the beloved son of Bêl, and offspring of Ereš-ki-gal or Persephone, and he had a spouse named Huš-bi-šaga. Apparently he executed the instructions given him concerning the fate of men, and could also have power over certain of the gods. <This name sounds strangely familiar to the evil wizard Nammtar.>
The šêdu were apparently deities in the form of bulls. They were destructive, of enormous power, and unsparing. In a good sense the šêdu was a protecting deity, guarding against hostile attacks. Erech and the temple Ê-kura were protected by spirits such as these, and to one of them Išum, "the glorious sacrificer," was likened.
The lamassu, from the Sumerian Lama, was similar in character to the šêdu, but is thought to have been of the nature of a colossus--a winged man-headed bull or lion. It is these creatures which the kings placed at the sides of the doors of their palaces, to protect the king's footsteps. In early Babylonian times a god named Lama was one of the most popular deities of the Babylonian pantheon.
From our findings on the 5th 6th and 7th names we know that Ban means banish. So we can use the word ban with liberty against demons. Ban-Asakku, Ban-âlû, Ban-gallu, Ban-labartu, Ban-labasu, Ban-âhhazu, Therefore instead of saying Tiamat say Ban-Tiamat. Instead of Azag-Thoth Ban-Azag-Thoth. Just saying the names of evil spirits especially at night could attract negative energy your way. It is wise to not speak evil into existence. So Ban the evil ones.

Enuma Elish
(9) NAMRU, The shining god who illumines our ways. Three each of his names"' have Anshar, Lahmu, and Lahamu proclaimed; Unto the gods, their sons, they did utter them: "We have proclaimed three each of his names. Like us, do you utter his names!" joyfully the gods did heed their command, As in Ubshukinna their exchanged counsels: "Of the heroic son, our avenger, Of our supporter we will exalt the name!" They sat down in their Assembly to fashion"' destinies, All of them uttering his names in the sanctuary.
This spirit is supposed to help with all kinds of learning and school work. I was once determined to not study so I made a cheat sheet and in doing so memorized all of the answers on the test. So I was cheated out of cheating.

The 12th name is Asarualimnunna, Ahs-ahroo-leem-noon-nah
His word of calling is Banatatu, Bahn-aht-ah-too
Enuma Elish
(I2) ASARUALIMNUNNA, the gracious, light of [the father, his begetter], Who directs the decrees of Anu, Enlil, [and Eal. He is their provider who assigns [their portions], Whose horned cap"" is plenty, multiply[ing ... Who banishes consternation from the body of the gods,
So he banishes fear from the body of the gods. Sounds like armor. I had a vision in which I saw the seal of Asarualimnunna on Marutukka’s shield. I am not sure exactly how but these two spirits are very closely connected.
Lets first look at the shape of the sigil. It looks kind of like the foot print of a chicken. Now rotate the book 180 degrees in any direction. <turn your book upside down> Its a peace sign. Now the connection to the chicken becomes evident! <Joke>
This one is a no brainier. Protection. So if you are not into eating bullets carry this seal. Or better yet just carry the entire Necronomicon around with you every where you go. It is a very powerful amulet in its own rite. I have escaped many dangers with the Necronomicon in my back pocket. However perhaps I would not have been in those situations if I were not a bit of a dangerous fella.
I highly recommend this seal for Soldiers, Police officers, Gangsters, Italian businessmen, or anyone who might get the chance to eat a lead sandwich. <Hold the mayo extra ketchup please.>
Also lets note that it is in the same shape as the protective rune Algiz the defender. Algiz is used to ward off evil. It is said to offer opportunities for growth but more important than that it offers protection.

Very imcomplete and dated but heres some of my experiences.
My experiences with some of the 50 spirits:
4. BARASHAKUSHU One of my aunts who is in the hospitil right now had to undergo a very deadly surgery. I summoned him and asked him to make the surgery go well. He instructed me to place the sigil under her hospital bed. I did the day before the surgery. The surgery was a complete succes.
6. NARILUGGALDIMMERANKIA My oldest sister was have a few problems with some astral critters in her house. I got rid of them and then we discussed possibilities of shielding her home. I figured since her totem animal is a dragon I would summon this guy to put a dragon by her home to protect it. This guy was a bit restless when I first summoned him, but settled down when my sisters cat came and sat in my circle. Not only does the dragon protect the home from spirits but it also protects it from people who will cause trouble. I wont go into detail about the latter because it would go into great detail about some of the ass holes in my family.
7. ASARULUDU He aided me with preparing for the Nanna Gate and other assorted gates related areas. He also healed my puppy. My puppy had parvo. A VERY deadly disease. The vet game my dog about a 10% chance of making it. Well right now my dog is perfectly fine and is currently chasing my cat . His only request was that I draw his sigil in wood.
13. TUTU When my oldest sister's mom (we have different moms) had a nervouse break down my sis asked me if I could do anyting magickal to help her. I found him in the nec and then summoned him. I acted as a channeler between him and my sister. He instructed her so have her look at his sigil and say his name of power. She said that her mother lived on the other side of the state and wasnt into the occult but that she could email it to her. He said the email would have to power. They pondered for a few moments then she said she could send her a regular letter (through the post office) with his sigil drawn on it and his word of power in small letters for her to read. We mailed teh letter overnight delivery the next morning. She email my sis 2 days later saying how for some reason she had been in a good mood all day and how things in her life are coming back in order. He was prolly the nicest spirit ive ever worked with. He is benifitial to both the beginner and the master.
16. AGAKU I used to summon this guy to charge all of my talismans, tools, etc, etc. Then one day he told me that merely pronouncing his name over the item would be just has powerul. I asked him if I was bothering him by summoning him all the time. He said no, but that it would save me a lot of work if just use his name and word of power over the item to charge it.
19. ZISI One night when my aunt and my mom were having a fight (which was about to get physical) I calmly went outside and summoned him. I told him the situation and we conversed back and forth for about 5 min. He when I walk back in to say his name of power. I thanked him and went back inside. I whispered his word of power and suddenly they stopped fighting and out of the blue hugged each other...sat down and drank coffee and smoked cigs all night talking about when they were little.
21. SUHGURIM Ive worked with this guy on a few occasions, but ill only go into one right now. Last year a kid at school was always picking on me and shoving me around. I had finally decided to fight the mofo. I walked the in the bathroom and there were 7 of his "hommies" waiting to jump me. I ran out went home. That night was the first time I summoned suhgurim. He was really cool and joked around with me. When I asked why he was so nice to me (I was expecting him to test the circle and be completley unruely) he replied "I like you, if I didnt like you then you would know it". 2 days later the guy started going to a different school. When a buddy of mine mentioned my name to him all he would say is "Dont mention him to me." My buddy told me that he looked like was about to crap his pants.
NOTE: 1. Your Will must be connected to what you want suhgurim to do, in my experiences he is good about weeding out the practicioners emotional rage and what the magickian truely wants to happen.
NOTE: 2. He is an EXECELENT tracker and can find just about anyone in the world.
NOTE: 3 On a few occasions he has popped up in my room only to listen to music. The second time I summoned him my radio cut on in while I was talking with him. He seems to like Metallica (not kidding).
22. ZAHRIM Im not going to into great detail about him save that the armies he creates for the caster are VERY POTENT. The person who was on the "wrong" end of their swords ended up in a mental hospital for 3 months.....that was after I had told them to take it easy on her.
26. ENBILULUGUGAL Im not going to go into great detail with this one either. A buddy of mine's mom lost her job and they were running low on $ and ate ramen noodle fer 2 weeks strait. After summoning him and doing what he instructed a guy called her up and was like "hey, I have your resume from a year ago....you still need a job?"
30. GIL When I summoned him he told me to paint his sigil on my chest. When I was done with him I did. While having sex I continusly chanted his name and had the best orgasm Ive ever had.
31. GILMA Defininetly my favorite of the 50. He appeared to me in the shape of a man, but the only thing else I could make out was the energy that was radiating off of him (a yellowish organgish color). When he first came he ran into my circle, sort of testing me. The energy he gave off was almost enough to knock me on my ass. We conversed fer a few minutes then I gave him the lisence to depart. He didnt leave. When asked why he didnt answer (though at a later date I asked him again and he said he was testing me). I banishing him and when about my buisness. When I took my comp science test I had failed by 2 points. I pulled out his sigil and chanted his word of power for a few minutes, then out of the blue the teacher came up to he head of the class room and said "Im adding a 5 point curve to the test, everyone add 5 points to your test." I was like KICK ARSE!! Gilma also helped me with my insomnia for a while. He also broke down my mind (something I had been wanting to do for a while but couldnt do it myself). The latter 2 I didnt ask him to do....he just did it. He was impossible for me to control and his energy almost knocked me unconcious a few times. HIs only request was that when I was done with his sigil I bury it instead of disposing of sigils the way I usually do. (wow, long post so far)

QUOTE(distillate @ Apr 25 2006, 11:41 PM) Has anybody had any negative experiences with any of the 50 names? I have never had a negative experiance with the 50 names. If you want extra protection summon the watcher and Burn the Aga Mass Ssaratu. If you encounter difficulty construct the Mandal of calling on pg 120. In the center square place the gate of Marduk pg 44. Inside the gate of marduk place the seal of Marduk pg 31. An easy way to do this is to use construction paper which you can fold up and use later. 13 inches per square is the measurement that I use. In this manner you will use a total of 25 squares. 5 vertical and 5 horizontal for a total of 25. This is a great way to empower the seals by using this mandal with the gate and seal of Marduk. If you really want to empower the experiance open the Marduk gate over the mandal. For protection from some of the possible negative side effects of opening the gate say this prayer. Prayer to Marduk <Scribed by Smasher666> Lord Marduk speak to me! O great Dugga accept me as your priest! I will serve you always! May I both in life and death, Make the greatest sacrifice to you, Lord Marduk supreme master of all ! I have heard ceremonial magicians speak of having some problems with some of the seals. However I have never had a priest tell me of any problems. A ceremonial magician using the Necronomicon as a Grimiore will use the circles and Solomans Triangle. A priest of Enki and Marduk will work this system without a circle triangle or any protection except the presence of Bandar. One who has dedicated himself to the Elder Gods will find that the Necronomicon opens up in ways it did not before. Here is a link on my thread to summoning Enki. http://www.sacred-magick.org/index.php?act=ST&f=76&t=2305This post has been edited by smasher666: Apr 26 2006, 12:35 AM

QUOTE(smasher666 @ Apr 26 2006, 10:23 AM) Hello Smasher666, by the way, can you tell me if any one can do the summoning... I mean with brief knowledge of the Nec? Cause i find that there are things related to the gates etc..... of is there any prerequisite steps of experiences before that? Coming to Enki, Do you know his equivalent in Hinduism? its that i did not quite understand the relationship between Enki and Marduk... Marduk, you said, could be equivalent to Shiva.. but according to hindu mythology, there was none before him... Shiva is the all supreme... the eternal light... The 15th name is ZIku. Tzee-koo
His word of calling is Giggimaganpa, Geeg-geem-ahgah-ahnpah
Enuma Elish
Tutu they thirdly called 15) ZIKU, who establishes holiness, The god of the benign breath, the lord who hearkens and accedes; Who produces riches and treasures, establishes abundance;... Who has turned all our wants to plenty; Whose benign breath we smelled in sore distress. Let them speak, let them exalt, let them sing his praises!
A good way to use this seal is to write it on the back of money along with the Aga, Arra and Bandar, and then spend it. Your money will return to you. The manner in which I write this spell on the back of money is left to right Agga Arra Bandar then My Personal Symbol received from Enki then Zulum then Ziku and lastly Agaku.
So the spell might translate. By the power of Enki I invoke the Covenant and the power of my Holy Guardian Angel to summon Zulum for help in business matters which will bring Ziku who I also summon for financial increase. This shall be amplified by the mighty Agaku and take form in the physical world. Using the symbols of the 50 names for such spell workings is a kind of Sorcerers short hand.
Use this spirit to improve your financial situation.
Hello Smasher666, by the way, can you tell me if any one can do the summoning...

The trinity of the Necronomicon is Anu Enki and Marduk. They are known to those of the Hindu faith as Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva respectively. I am a bit rusty on my Hindu mythology. However from my memory the Hindu trinity is 3 aspects of the same god. Anu is the father. Marduk is the son. Enki is the Holy Spirit. They are one in three. And they are three in one. They are the three great kings. their power is one power. Their magick is one magick. The powers of Anu were amplified in his son Enki. The powers of Enki were amplified in Marduk. They are the Holy trinity of all religions. In comparision of these trinitys throughout the history of religion I have noticed some things are backwards in one religion from that of another. Magick works forward and then reverses itself much like electricty which reverses direction 120 times per second. Magick works in circles if you watch closely enough when it runs its course and completes the circle it reverses direction. This is hard for me to explain clearly. For my understanding of this came with images and not words so I often find myself lacking in words to describe my visions.
Having passed the Marduk gates and all preliminary gates the 50 names become much easier to work with. However it is not at all necessary. Just follow the method given in The Necronomicon Spellbook by Simon.
Having a personal relationship with Marduk eliminates any possible danger that might come from working with the 50 names. Marduk does not care if you call him, Shiva, Zues, Jupiter, Thor, Yahweh, Jehovah or Allah. Marduk only cares that you reconize him as the supreme being.
The trinity of the Necronomicon is Anu Enki and Marduk. They are known to those of the Hindu faith as Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva respectively.

Ah kool, i was a bit lost with this paragraph about the relationships: Enki was more powerful than his father ANU and he knew that his son would be more powerful than him. So he went about the business of making a son. That son he knew would one day claim the throne of the Gods. Enki advised his son to fight as champion of the gods but only under the agreement that each of the 50 great gods would give him a power and that Marduk would be king of the Gods. And so he is unto this day.
Well coming to
Marduk does not care if you call him, Shiva, Zues, Jupiter, Thor, Yahweh, Jehovah or Allah. Marduk only cares that you reconize him as the supreme being.
Well i consider Shiva as the supreme bieng and consequently it would imply Maurduk... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Any ways, i respect all Gods whether Shiva,Allah.... as for the spell book it is said not to call upon maurduk unless in case of emergency.. Just to make me understand better, the prayer itself, doesnt it establish like a call to marduk? So is a pesonal relation with Marduk possible for a beginner who has not passed his gate?
