Good day,

Here's a rather simple and to-the-point question. What is pine resin in the Necronomicon of Simon? I know it is an offering to the Watcher, but what is it?

Thank you,

Mr. Curi

Resin is a substance which is often secreted or given off by plants. Often times resin is aquired after burning the said plant. For the Necronomicon, you can simply burn pine chips in the agga mass ssaratu because it will naturally produce resin during the burning process.

Ashnook,

I would have never guessed that burning pine chips would produce the resin needed for the offering. Thank you so very much for the clarification.

Sincerely,

Mr. Curi

I've been to a few places and cant find any pice chips or pine cones. However, I was able to find pine bark mulch. Will that work as a suitable substitute?

Pine is good for purification. With the exception of salt water and possible sage smudge sticks I know of nothing more effective to cleanse an area. Just buy some pine incense sticks.

So I could buy the pine sticks and when it came time for the offering to the Watcher I'd put one pine stick in the Agga Mass Ssaratu and catch it on fire along with the sacrificial bread.

yo,

you could more than likely get pine chips at a pet supply store. I believe they are used for rabbits and such. and as for purification methods, I also love cedar oil or smudges.

I usually poke 3 sticks of pine into the bread one for each of the 3 great watchers. I light the insence first as it helps purify the area. Then I conjure the fire God. Light the fire. Burn the bread. Then when the bread starts smoking I say the short conjuration of the Bandar. Then throw in some nettles.

Peace!

Nettles is the stinging nettles plant. It is a plant with 1000 tiny thorns that hurts like hell if you touch it. You can buy it in a herbal shop or order it online. From an herbal shop you can buy the kind that is meant to be burned as incense for Bandar. You can also buy a kind that you make tea out of to drink. Nettles makes the blood strong and gives energy and increases imune system.

Good Hunting!

I totally agree. I have used lentils as a substitute for Nettles more than once. Once I filled my barbecue grill up with charcoal and gave him several loafs of bread, mixed nuts, seeds, all kinds of fruit etc. Needless to say he enjoyed the attention.

I have also noticed that Bandar likes Sage. Sage is an appropriate substitute for Pine.

We do not always do the conjuration but either my wife or I burn bread for bandar everyday. We also keep an altar candle going for him 24 hrs a day.

Peace

With regard to the pine, I´m actually quite lucky to have a large forest on my back door. However, what with my botany skills being so bad, I´m having a problem distinguishing between pine and fir.

Is fir also acceptable to burn (just in case I make a mistake), or is there an easy way to spot pine?

Thanks

'nyechna,

I believe that PureNaturalEnergy has been burning pine cones for his Bandar. U would do the same thing but I live in a concrete jungle with no trees. They fall out of the trees so you can harvest them without damaging the tree. You can also pick up pine needles off the dround and burn them. The old ones turn brown and will burn easier than the green ones. I would not harverst any bark from a pine tree as this could lead to it getting infected with wood beetles or the tree getting parasytes,

Here are pics of a pine cone and pine needles.

Peace

Smasher is wright I have used pine cones for the sacrifice and to burn incense to my bandar. I know Ashnook has used it as well, I know cause he told that it work great for him. Another thing that I use it is that you can pick it up and don't damage the tree trying to cut a piece of him to perform the Agga. We believe on the protection of mankind and this world then why kill trees or damage them in order to perform any kind of magick. If you need a staff don't go a cut one that you like insted go and find one that a tree is not going to use any more, like found on the ground or a tree that was hit by a by a lighting in a thunder storm that will be a great empowered staff. We don't need to kill or hurt anything in orer to get what we want.

I went traipsing through the forest yesterday afternoon. Found a few pine cones there. I did clip a couple of sprigs from some of the more mature trees, but they were small sprigs and nore more than one per tree.

Finding nettles really wasn´t a problem: On reflection, it probably would have been better if I´d brought my gloves with me though...

The Necronomicon is a very powerful system but is based on war and blood and this very power feeds off the blood and thoughts of the whole human race. Being nice is not part of the program and that will be seen in the near future of world events. Most of The Silent Dragon Clan use no circle but use a aura of their own personal power for protection and with a power of HUBUR behind you your fear is gone. The Elders and Ancient Ones draw off the same power base. So working only with one side limits your true power.

Just another note to all you who live in NYC...there are innumerable little shops that sell botanicals. One of the more famous is called Aphrodisia (it's in the Village...Carmine Str?). You will probably find all your herbal needs met there! If worse comes to worse use turpentine! (Ventillation is a must) Pine resin isn't that difficult to find if you apply yourselves. Hmmm.....create a Servitor that locates spell components for you! I have one that collects books for me! (hint, hint*grin*) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

BYM is right. There is almost a Santeria shop for every square block of NYC. LOL.

Lately in addition to the bread pine and Nettles I have been giving Bandar some other goodies to snack on from the Santeria shop around the corner, Different types of powdered incence which smoke nicely. Go away evil / Money / Dragons Blood / Michael / Gabriel / Raphael and Uriel incenses. Also I have been feeding him sage and mullen.

My wife and I still burn the bread every night and I have started to do the ritual every night as well since it only takes 5 minutes and Bandar let me know he thought I was a lazy a$$.

peace

What brought you to this conclusion? The reason I ask is because that theory seems to go against what Simon wrote in the dead names.

Pine resin is procured by taking a 1"X3" piece of bark from a North American pine deep enough to see wood under it,
Collecting the goo which oozes out over a week long period in a metal plate, slowly heating it and dipping off the impurites,
Then doing one of three things to it.
[1]Allowing it to solidify into a block.
[2]Mixing sulphur to make "gum" to be used as a "marker"or glue.
[3]Thinning it with mineral spirits or turpentine[PREFERRABLY] to
create a Jel to fascilitate easy use.

Hope this helps. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/egypt1.gif)

Very nice technique! I have always used pure pine chips because I have easy access to them and it was simple, but update your technique and you get better results. Thanks for that. Maybe I should apply some of my alchemy skills to the chips themselves and obtain my sacrifice.

Nice post!

Would adding suphur to it be safe to use, as when sulphur is burnt on its own it produces the highly toxic gas sulphur dioxide? Just checking before I try it out.

Thanks

I am no alchemist, so I will leave the creation of the resin to GeNoCyDe and Nero lol, but I have noticed that pine cones will burn much easier than pine chips will.

Ah,my bad,I should have specified it is for outdoor workings!
for anything else,I'd use the solidified block, because the one
made with turpentine burns at a faster rate than the pure item, even
though turpentine is a product of that same resin!

It makes one hell of a lamp in outdoor ritual however!

PS
To make pine chips combust faster and cleaner, put some in a bag
and slosh turpentine on them and let them soak overnight, then dry
an hour before the working.its all pine,so its all good.turpentine burns
about as well as kerosene but is ritually correct as it is an element of the
resin. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I begin the same as GeNoCyDe, but after heating and skiiming it off, I put it in a plastic container that I don't mind throwing away afterwards and put it in the freezer. Use utensils that are old and expendable. The pine resin sticks to everything. Normally I use a pot of boiling water and put a can or heavy tinfoil in the boiling water. The pine sap is inside the tinfoil or can. This can is disposable. Even the spoon or whatever I use to skim off the purified resin is old or disposable. Pine sap sticks to everything.
When I need to use some, I bring it out of the freezer and chip off some of it while it is still frozen and not too sticky. It comes off in flakes or chips fairly easily. Mostly I add it to incense mixtures.
