I was always curious about this. Death is a natural process. But, is there an entity out there will the robe, scythe, skeleton thing going on or is that just a fabrication of man? any thoughts?

Well, the closest thing to the angel of death you're going to get is Samael, the 'poison of god'. But according to my tidbits of information, he doesn't appear as a robed skeleton, or a floating black robe..He appears as a Serpent with a lions head.

I have see the Grim Reaper in ritual and he came with a robe, no scythe though. It was just before my loved one died. I think he appeared so that I would be prepared. Unfortunately, you are never prepared to lose a loved one.

this is very true
i have been in 2 or 3 near death situations one of i was too young to even remember

but i've never seen the grim reaper

well i guess maybe the person about to leave the earthly world can't see him

but i have read a black bunny appears in front of you when your in your spirit form and guides you to the other side....

If there really is no skeleton with a black robe and scythe, where did people get this image from?

Where did the image of god looking like Zeus come from? What's up with the easter bunny? Why didn't nero shed a few pounds on his statues? Who knows. Skeletons are associated with dead, throw on a black robe & a big blade & you have a scary mother ******. So, there you go.

At least as early as the Geek myth of Heracles Death wore a black hooded robe. One of Heracles great feats was beating death in a wrestling match. Perhaps it is not of Christian origin at all as this myth is older than Jesus Christ.

Here is a pic of Heracles fighting Death in his black robe. Why Heracles ran around naked all the time is not readily apparent. Perhaps he was the worlds first streaker. lol.

I am not saying there isn't, only that it isn't what I saw and we don't always see everything that appears, it can depend on our energies at the time.

It was a peaceful experience too, which is something I wouldn't have expected.
