In personal microcosmos you can link anything to anything. What works for your field of consciousness (and others with similar field) may or may not work with other peoples fields of consciousness, ones god is other mans devil and both are equally convinced in those beliefs.Chaos magic proved that all magic works through filters of your consciousness. What you believe is what you get.

kool reply. You told all :-)
the true reality is how you see it and what you perceive to be truth and good compared to what has been said or written in those religious books or told by religious leaders etc...

Greetings,

Whoever made that site calls Shammash Azazel and Ea Satan. However it is well known that Azazel is the name of Satan. So whoever made this web site is an idiot.

Well who ever said believe everything on the internet is likely a sure fire target to buy beachfront property in the Arizona desert! This is the kind of non-sense that keeps the Necronomicon right there next to the Satanic Bible in the bookstore shelves! The insane thing is there are people that belive this garbage w/o taking the time or effort to see for themselves it is a complete BS made up delusion!
But folk will believe what they will I suppose............

Ask any Sumerian purist what he thinks about Necronomicon,he will say it is rubbish and alteration of original Sumerian myths.Necronomicon is an invention too as you all know. That does not hinder his efficacy,so if those folks get results with their beliefs who are we to judge.

Enkidu is correct. If the way he/she views the Necronomicom Gods/Godesses gives him/her results then that is all that matters. The their only real mistake is posting it where others could take offense. The hard part comes when those that are offended have to chose to push the issue.(Inciting Holy war perhaps or leave it alone). Remember there are people out there who take things to lethal extremes. The extremists of the world are the only true dangers. For their minds are closed to all but their one view of the truth. Just my 2 cents.

Many ideas and rituals that are in the Necronomicon are almost essential to the Mesopotamian Priest or Magickian. Take the gate systems for example. It is highly theorized that the Priests of old went through some sort of ritual process involving gates yet the specific rituals can not be found for such. That is where the Necronomicon comes in.

In all books on Sumer, from Samul Noah Kramer onwards I never read anything of a kind.Theorized by who? Simon? Many things in the Necronomicon contradict traditional Sumer.Someone already posted a site that compares Necronomicon to Sumerian and Babylonian religion and makes it plain that many things are not in agreement.I didnt question the eficacy of Necronomicon I just said that it is NOT traditional Sumerian religion.

Didnt read it so I cant comment what book says.Until evidence to support such theories is found on clay tablets I disbelieve any "theory".Let me know when they find evidence.

um the descent of ishtar for one is found on clay tablets. Visions of the heavens or the netherworld and journeys thereto are well represented in Mesopotamian mythology. Ascention to the stars is a big part of the MAQLU tablets. The preist imagines himself able to journey shaman-like to both the heavens and the netherworld in the guise of a star. So the walking of the planets (gates) is nessesary in order to be able to know how to perform the ritual. Do I think the necronomicon provides such a initiation to be a priest that can do this powereful ritual? Perhaps... but I feel the nec is more of a practice of the Typhonian Ordo Templi Orientis. That is just my opinion though.
