The Grand Grimoire is definitely NOT for advanced magicians of any sort. It is for the guy who has nothing, knows nothing, and can barely tie his shoes. The grimoire promises that if you follow the instructions point-by-point, you will abandon your poverty and ignorance, and attain things like untold wealth, the submission of men and women, and knowledge of secret arts.

http://www.truthaboutmagic.com/sorcerers/pacts.htm l has a few comments on the actual procedure, which deserves careful attention.

Its a treatise on magic and should be treated accordingly. It's as dangerous as you make it. That may not answer your question but it should. When your ready to use it you will. Reading it won't kill you if thats what your worried about. Just treat it with the same respect you would a loaded gun and you'll be fine.

The Grand Grimoire - or any grimoire - I don't recommend for any diligent sorcerer. The book is so pathetic it teaches you to sell your soul to goetic demons; which in truth are more like slaves created by mankind rather than Gods of the psyche.

Get started with the foundations of magic first then consider the Grand Grimoire (by then you'll scoff at it anyways).

I also like to add that a true Left Hand Pathist 'never' serves any demons or gods but his self. Those who sell their souls and call themselves LHP are only cowards who don't know what the true LHP even is, they are nestling themselves in a 'comfort zone' of ignorance and imprudently giving their souls away to a spirit which is no higher than what they can be.

The reason I added this is because the Grand Grimoire goes as far as teaching you how to sell your soul to demons of the goetia, and all I'm saying is don't fall a victim to that lie, it will try and debauch you to make stupid decisions which are imprudent in the long run.

Peace!
