I've never really introduced myself online before as I'm usually more of a lurker, but here goes...
I've been practicing magic off and on since my teens, starting with witchcraft and then hoodoo, which I did mostly to seem "edgy" and "cool" (youth). I started reading people's palms and the tarot to entertain myself at parties, really not knowing what I was going on about, and found I had a weird knack for being right on a lot of the time. That, along with some strange psychic and consciousness-altering experiences I had as I got older, made me take everything more seriously, and I started studying hermeticism, gnosticism, chaos, vodou, santeria and pretty much whatever occult/esoteric subjects caught my fancy at the time. Somewhere along the way I discovered Inanna, and Ishtar, and Astarte and all those other goddesses from that area that were related to each other and sacred sexuality, and that started another path of study (initiation? still not sure yet). I'm currently interested in learning more about sorcery and spiritual alchemy. And that's it I guess... so, hi everyone!
