One can manifest great changes upon the universe by changing ones own perception of events. This was the great truth revealed to me whilst I was studying Zen.
It is possible to manifest a demon-haunted world full or evil spirits and human puppets under the unfluence of dark hearted fiends who thwart your progress at every turn. Or to place yourself on a cloud that floats gently above a sea of troubles whilst the angels sing your name upon the wind so that everyone you encounter treats you well.
This is, however, no simple task. To manifest change within oneself is (for me) the heart of my magickal study. Often have I felt myself moving swiftly along the path only to find myself back where I started and unable to create lasting change.
Chaos Magick as a modern method of magick, stripping away the dogma of the ages, is a new way of achieving and old goal. I see it more as a new programming language, necessary because to interface with the universe in its 'pure' form is not possible. I am thirsty, and upon my desk sits a cup of tea. Do I reach out and lift the cup to my mouth, do I create a servitor to do this for me, do I lift the cup using the power of my mind, do I 'become' the cup of tea, or do I will my thirst to be gone? Which is the chaotes path? Probably to let the mind wander away from the original question.....
