Well, this is first. An introduction. Who am I? Why am I here?
I have come to a point in my life, via a long and winding path, where I have to grasp the magick I have always done accidentally and involuntarily, take control of it, and put it to good use. To 'set down' my magickal leanings, I simply work with energy, the raw stuff of the universe. No ritual, no long preparation, just do it. It works. It's what comes naturally.
So here I am, the whole of me standing here for the first time! (I've always felt 'fragmented' until now.) What shall I learn first? What an adventure! Choosing my first task is easy - get this unruly mind of mine under control again, for the first time in this life. After that, who knows?!
I lurked on this form for a few weeks, unregistered. Seldom do I feel comfortable amongst people, let alone on a forum. But here I did feel comfortable, and so here I am! So I raise my glass to you (and particularly the admin!), and say 'Thank you' for letting me be here!

Welcome on…took me 8 times to write welcome correctly, but I digress.
Now how you came here, and felt at home with this motley bunch, I have no idea, I mean they let me post on here.
Anyway not to sound like a broken record but, I recommend reading the forums that hold no interest to you whatsoever. On occasion, you will find some great insights there. I know I do.
As far as technique, “if it works don’t change it!!!” specially if what you are doing works well.
Getting the mind in order is a fun one, something I have some experience with. It is stupidly simple, just not fun and not easy until you have already done it. Then the parts that hang on that you need to grasp are the same thing but never as painful as the first time, never as heart retching.
In the end it is an ever evolving process, but the difference or impact 6 or 7 months of dedication can have on how your mind works for the rest of your life is utterly outstanding….was going to say “mind blowing” but that was too terrible of a pun.
Well Welcome, no reason to fear the boards, anonymity has a quality all it’s own. But after a while it ceases to matter, except in cases of spam and or unwanted people knocking at the door or calling you.
There is some response I gave to an introduction not long ago that is a lot more complete. However I don’t want to get in the habit of template welcomes, that would make me feel like those people who walk you to your new apartment and give you a gift basket welcoming you to the complex.
Then after your moved in you realize all your neighbors have different sleep schedules and no matter when you try, you are not going to sleep well in this new place…
Welcome on Electrolyte.

Electrolyte I agree with Paxx, if it works please don’t change it. I’m about to re-learn things I did without thinking as a kid finding it perfectly normal LOL Welcome! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by Acherusia: Nov 17 2007, 01:04 PM

Hi Acherusia, QUOTE(Acherusia @ Nov 17 2007, 07:03 PM) I agree with Paxx, if it works please don’t change it. I’m about to re-learn things I did without thinking as a kid finding it perfectly normal LOL Welcome! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I completely agree! I've been down that road, eventually realising I was working against my own nature! In a similar way, when I was young I used to fix electronic equipment with very little knowledge of electronics - I just sort of 'felt' what was wrong. I then trained in electronics, and worked in the industry, and couldn't do it any more! I've now been out of the industry for a few years, and guess what? I'm starting to know when there's something wrong and where it's coming from again! The knowledge (and constant application of it) overruled the instinct.
