Just here to enjoy this forum. And to appreciate the freedom we are offered. Just think two hundred years ago we would have all been burnt at the stake (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evil2.gif) or worse. I don't think most magick folk realize how lucky we are to live in this age.

I think only a few would be witches, the rest would be posing as members of the clergy in monasteries. Why do you think Dee referred to the Enochian entities as angels instead of demons or ghosts or some other word? Because it sounds like you're doing Godly stuff rather than burn-you-at-the-stake stuff. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised there were at least some inquisitors using the witch-hunts as an excuse to get rid of competition.*
