Hello Forum members, My name is Mike, I am new here,
I thought that i would spend a few weeks reading posts before i created a account and started to post.
I am fairly green though i have read quite extensively on magick study. I would really love to find someone to study under
but do not know how to go about finding someone willing, able, and suitable for me. As i am a 31 buissness type i don't attract people who may be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hmm.gif) . i dunno. I live in Michigan and i am very eager yet patient. - Thank you for reading. Be Blessed.

I hope you find what you are looking for here. Why don't you go into what kind of teacher you are looking for? That might help those who teach to be able to match up to you.

why you want to be a student and not a solitary practitioner?

what "branch" you looking for? sacred magic covers a lot of ground, from kitchen witches to sorcerers to christian magicians to organizations to all sorts of eclectic folk - they all have different was of approaching the same goal, the impossible becoming commonplace!

would you be willing to give up everything there and move somewhere to focus your learning?

there are a few that take students here, most are solitaries like me, and many here who will help you in your path (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif)

i guess its time to trot out the writer's pack and repeat the speech about not giving yourself away easily, that you are worth something of a great price - don't go along with anything that sounds wrong or is demeaning or requires something of you that you don't feel that you should do or give or whatever - obedience isn't being cannon fodder, apprenticeship is supposed to be learning not slavery, yada, yada, yada, etc, etc, etc

dedication is dedication, and secrecy is secrecy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/secret.gif) , and those willing to teach their supposedly super or superior or special secrets, especially if they want money to do it, may not be the best intention-wise - think of it as a business transaction and look for the best deal

you probably got a bunch of pm's - test your gut feelings, choose wisely, and with open eyes

keep one eye on the prize and good luck, unless you are one of those trolling cult-busters or something, looking for some outre' secret organization to debunk or expose, then here's wishing bad cess on you and your whole outre' secret organization lol

I think that i would be very cautious in chosen a teacher, i think that the only reason that i want to study under someone is that i think ritual magick
may be documented very well and the rituals written down quite extensively, but.. some things i think have to be given mouth to ear. And be taught proper.
