I just had a thought, not that I want to attempt this but just see what everyones opinions are. Do you think it would be possible to Astral Travel to fictional realms? For example, Never Land or even some kind of location from Lord of the Rings. I know some people might joke about this but I have read in my studies of the astral world that if enough people believe in it, then it will come into existance and will awaken. Has anyone ever attempted to astral travel to a fictional realm? Do you think the egregores of the movies reside there, like Peter Pan? lol. If im just jumping up the wrong magickal tree just say lol...

During one of my partial astral adventures (I call it partial because my lucidity and my concentration was incomplete, but the basic lucid feedback that wakeful reality had was still there nonetheless), I tried to go someplace. I failed, and instead went to an intermediate location. I thought, "Plains?" I started to shift towards a quiet plains. But, then I remembered, I have an extreme fear of tornadoes and a bit of tornado-anxiety about plains regardless of the weather (too many dreams involving cyclones, vortexes, and tornadoes will do that to you). So, I opted for something a bit safer: The foothills of a mountain range.

I sat down on the side of the foothills, and i placed my hands near each other in psi-ball formation (the only real metaphysical "channeling-stance" i know and ever really used). I said, "I wish to visit the dimension of Naruto."

I tried, but an outside force pulled my hands apart and forced them down as I tried to channel portal/warp/spacefold energy between my hands. I said, "What gives? Why not?" I heard a voice say, "They are at war now."

So, apparently, yes you can, but you have to consider the current state of things over in their universes. Is it a place of drama, turmoil, and/or dynamic change? You have plenty of that here. No need to go look for more.

That, or I simply didn't have enough power to do so.

absolutely. i have an entire fictional continent (world?) called Thurist that i constructed (at first, on accident) which i travel from time to time. its really fun and interesting. the first time i discovered it was amazing, and every time i go there it gets larger and more complex. the last time, i took the form of a little girl from a noble family who slipped away for the day to collect sea conches on the beach, next to the crags and cliffs that overlook the ocean. i was lucid, of course and i knew it was all a fantasy world, but i played the part for entertainment's sake. it gave me a broad view of the growing city (now quite advanced in technology, i was impressed by its growth from the second to last time i was there). the REALLY interesting part about it is watching it evolve; time there is much faster than time here. kinda like the Narnia concept.

i actually ended up doing a quick sketch of the geography of the beach, the clothes i was wearing, and the large hovering vehicle (which i knew to be some sort of hybrid merchant ship and communications satellite) that hung in the sky that day. i hope to go back very soon, and see how my pet world is doing. i was thinking...there was some minor dispute in that particular city's governing body. outsiders were bribing the representatives of the city for trade rights and monopolization and insider information. seemed to threaten their future potential and peaceful way of life, so i commissioned the girl i possessed to resolve the matter. the main issue I made clear was for her Not to Allow outsiders to infiltrate and influence the political scene of the city; after all it is this particular city i chose to carry into the next era of Thurist's authorship. I am confident she grew up into a competent and influential politician.

I've tried this.

You will more to go to the place of your own conception of said alternate reality, and discover the psychological implications of same versus actually go there.

I only partially agree with this. I somewhat disagree with the first half, but wholeheartedly agree with the second. My line of reasoning comes from the idea of 1) there are multiple dimensions that can mirror each other and 2) We attract energies like our own to ourselves.

Say I actually went to location X on the astral plane. Because of my own conditioning, I wouldn't really go to a dimensional variant of x out of my OWN conception, so much as one of that FITS my conceptions.

I work this from the premise that there is nothing new in existence. Everything is truly there, the newness comes from the freshness of developing a connection. Whether or not the subject taps into it is up to said individual. Existence is, in the words of the ancient Indian mathmeticians, "infinitely infinite (Infinite possibilities, with infinite variants, with infinite permutations of infinite variables, all within the same matrix of what is known as Existence)." It's all up to us.

But, then again, I am arguing this simply for semantics's sake, and could easily have applied what you said to my premise as well without posing too much of an argument. Still, I felt it prudent to work out the angles of my paradigm just to reestablish in my mind as to what I believe.

Here. This is what I would have said:

Of course not actually go 'there,' because there is no real 'there,' there is only a 'here,' speaking mystically, of course.

In my case, there is no real set "Naruto Dimension" accessible save for the mind of the author of the actual story. Yes, it will be a variant. Yes, it will be one I am attracted to most. Yes, things will change and evolve in ways I will understand them because that's the variant that is easiest to connect with (energy takes the path of least resistance). No one can ever really access whatever fixed points in the heavens there are which entelechy grants attraction to, provided in my case there is a root "Naruto World" from which all other variants emanate. So long as we mortals are rooted here, in this plane by default, I believe we have no real need to even think about that issue.

So yes, I agree with you, provided some details be added. I am intrigued as to your viewpoints!

Yes, you can project into practically any piece of art. Sometimes though you must first ask yourself "why?"
