Hello all,
In the Goetia the blood of a Black Cock that has never trode a hen is used in the creation of the secret seal of solomon. I have 34 Black frizzle roosters that I need to cull. The roosters are totally black, not a lick of white on their feathers and their beaks are black as well. I need to cull from 3-4 of these roosters and I am set on using their blood. I am looking for a way to make the blood last longer. Is it possible to dehydrate the blood and then rehydrate for later use or even freeze it and reuse it? The Black frizzle is a much sought after bird some great information can be found on this link.http://www.luckymojo.com/blackhens.html
Thanks,
Kennith
Theoretically...
Crowley mentions (somewhere) that blood and animal flesh looses its "vitality," which I take to mean as the vital force "prana," if it is allowed to sit and is not used shortly after it is taken. But I don't know from personal experience.
Many experienced magicians make serious prohibitions to engaging in any sort of animal blood magick, that it is "black magick" or whatnot, and you should be aware of this. I make no judgments, not being expert.
You should also be aware that ritual animal sacrifice is illegal in some states, and getting arrested for doing it will make you look bad (imagine having to report that to future employers!). Plus, any media attention generated from this kind of activity will make ALL occultists look bad, whether they approve of blood magick or not, so be aware of this responsibility as well-- at least if you want to have friends in the occult community!
