gak! - paugh! - damn you almost choked me, sjur! - maybe its a cm thing, but warn me next time, will ya? - howdy and welcome!, nice 1st post
i shy away from extremes like all light or all dark and walk the twilight path where everything just *is*, and isn't judged as this or that, but merely experienced
and i have escaped from 'normal', from conformity! - i am 'occult' as 'normal' society wouldn't understand my beliefs and try to kill me to make me conform
i prefer to be a hermit on the mountaintop, cloud-hidden, where-abouts unknown, and i try ever so hard to live in the invisible world as much as possible
i think, eat and even breathe outside the box whenever possible - that box that most are so comfortable in turns out to be a coffin, and you can die in there if you're not careful
as for the black magic versus the white magic, i can kill or i can cure, so? - is one so better than the other?
not everyone follows another's chosen path, or do you think all should leave their chosen path and teleport or something over to yours, because yours is the best path?
love without ego is the greatest achievement in the world - why do you think jesus died on the cross, but is buried in india?
the crucifixion of the ego-self, the extremely humbling trip being dragged by the hairs through the underworld, then the final resurrection of the true self
that true self that loves with any desire of it being returned
that is the greatest gift of all
enjoy,
es

wow, defintetly a reply that which i cannot supercede in any way ( not that i would want or try to lol) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) i believe every thing i would have tried to said was said by u and with that i await sjur's reply ( which i hope will be respectful as estoterica's) though i will add ( i always add my two sense lol) that by light u mean????? besides love, wat do u mean by lite? and by not doing occult do u mean to say christianity? ( which began as a small cult before rising to religious "dominence" in rome while rome was mainly a polythestic ragan religion. if i remember correctly) or what other kind of religion?? from my experience with religons i have seen that both lite and dark exist with everyone of them, whether it be in its teachings god and satan (or vice versa) or the elder gods or the ancient ones (or vice versa) or whatever else in the world. also from my experience i have seen the light become a blind darkness with hopes and feelings of kindness and bliss and of good intentions, BUT it leads into pain, suffering and anguish for those recieving the light from the person wanting to "help them" this has been demonstrated throughout history..... anyways thats my 2 sense lol take care

Interesting choice of words; "choose the Light"?Lucifer translates to 'Bringer of Light' in other words gnosis, truth and Divine knowledge. Lucifer is a rebel against spiritual imbalance, the Fallen Angel of Light. Born strong in the light of the God spirit, his crown held the most beautiful jewels from the earth. His essence was of the Sun and divine wisdom and enlightenment shone throughout him. No other Angel or Seraphim was as bright as Lucifer. Lucifer may be more than a metaphor for rebellion, enlightenment and advancement - as the pure creative and motive light, Lucifer may actually be the key to life itself . . . The DNA within the nuclei of all cells of living creatures contains biophotons or ultra-weak proton emissions - in other words, light! A dynamic web of light constantly released and absorbed by the DNA connects cells, tissues and organs and serve as the organism's main communication network. Lucifer is on the move inside you and me, chattering between cell and cell, rousing the cohorts of the life-force, keeping us alive and wonderful. Every man and woman is a star - and now we know we have our own inner light For those who are searching for the light of the spirit, Lucifer shall be your messenger. He won't talk about a faith that is alien to perception. He won't flatter into the hearts to avoid the guardian of science: he shall respect him. He won't preach piety and divine bliss but will show ways for the knowledge to change into divine sensation, into the devotion of the cosmic spirit. Was this the Light you had in mind (IMG: style_emoticons/default/spoton.gif)

you lost me there... just a thought, but how about "Choose Open-Mindedness" instead of 'dogmatic dualism'?

true dat.
but even when I myself was a devout christian, I had an unspoken sense of the provocative, condescending, and presumptuous nature of most 'evangelistic' practices. And even though I was told that people would go to hell if they didn't 'see the light' I wasn't particularly willing to engage in propaganda-style attempts to cram the light down their throats.
So having been a christian, in the past, and one who refrained from overt evangelism, out of an instinctual respect for others, I tend to be somewhat impatient with evangelistic types now that I am outside of that faith.
I can tell you, as a former insider, that for the most part, such evangelical work is actually very self centered. There is an undercurrent of belief that you yourself may be damned if you don't evangelize enough, or that your reward in heaven will be greater if you convert more people, etc. It's often not stated quite that bluntly, but it's definitely there in some christian denominations. and the whole basis for that form of evangelistic work is purely self serving in a very sort of anti-altruistic, Ayne Rand way.

Light= Unity Understanding Love Dark= Isolatiion Ignorance Fear The Dark, the divide between the light, the Dark is necessary for individualiy to exist outiside of GOD, "Evil". GOD's gift to man is freewill, choice. I believe that the left path of darkness is a path of arrogance. Would you really want to be isolated and removed completely from the almighty to pursue your own divinity? Perhaps you'd prefer submission, the path of light, to return to a child like state similar to that of adam or eve and finally be reunited with our maker? Acolyte of Grey light, the royal path. TRUE Enlightenment, master of yin and yang. Thank you Sjur for your wonderful piece of GOLD, GOD BLESS

why not divide the universe into Ketchup-ness, and Mustard-ness? Or how about salty & sweet? or what about up & down? (boy that last one's sure opening the door to relativism isn't it?)
its all entirely arbitrary. there's no such thing as actual absolute darkness or actual absolute light... those are just conceptual parameters between which all of reality exists.
thinking of the universe as entirely existing on a grayscale from white to black, or worse yet as something which is black & white with no middleground. Is about as useful and sensible as thinking of the universe as existing on a scale between salty & sweet. This obsession with dualism and categorization which mankind has is wildly delusional. we create parameters out of abstract absolutes, and then we start getting silly notions about the universe's nature being based on our abstraction... it isn't based on our paradigm, "it just is", in infinite diversity, along infinite abstract axis, it exists as a plethora, and putting on blinders which view it only through something as rationally shakey as a human religion or an individual's concept of ethics... is just putting on blinders and will greatly distort one's view of our otherwise magnificent and diverse universe.
There is no place in this universe which resembles either YHVH in terms of absolute illumination, or 'sheol' in terms of absolute darkness. they're just ideas we've come up with to use as bookends on reality.
anyway, if you MUST have dualism, I would add that you don't become a master of yin and yang by focusing entirely on only yin or only yang, and shunning the other.
that said, I do respect your right to believe as you wish.

I shun no path for I believe they all lead to the same center. Extreme light and dark is reflected through the souls of humanity and our freewill. There are many shades between black and white, my "incredibly simplistic interpretation" is the basic knowledge of good and evil, to denounce it is an act of ignorance, though i will honor and defend your right to believe what you will. You isolate yourself with your reply, you have no faith in the masters that came before you? perhaps you have the simplistic interpretation of the works you have read. As for man's delusional catigorization and dualism, light and dark are an expression of principles and potentialities that supercede the barriers of language and words. There are many differnent opposites through out the universe, it is visible all over the earth, as above so below. To not have some form of label in which to discuss these principles and potentialities, would leave us at a disadvantage while conversing on these subjects. The light leads to darkness and the darkness back into light like the serpant OuroBuros. Most Humans are vessels, batteries if you will that generate energy of a paticular shade or vibe that is of an ordinary light or dark emmanation, for they lack self awarness. Through the Royal Art you may transmute your natural energy and traverse any and all paths. Gnosis of the void where dark and light meet.
