Hello SM world. I have lurked here for a while waiting upon verification. Thank you, admins for making me a real boy!

I have done a ton of reading over the years, done some basic meditaion and visualizaion exercises but I have never really progressed past that. My inerests lie in the Western Mystery Tradition - from Esoteric Christianaty to Hermeticism.

Just here looking for interesting points of view, conversation and maybe some tips on creative visualation.

Greetings and welcome to the board,

We have a good number of threads on Hermeticism so enjoy.

If you would not mind, can you explain what exactly is Esoteric Christianaty? I have heard the name (might even have a book on it) but I not clear about.

--------------------
Cosmic consciousness is devoid of diversity; yet the universe of diversity exists in notion....
We contemplate that reality in which everything exists, to which everything belongs,
from which everything has emerged, which is the cause of everything and which is everything....
The light of [this] self-knowledge alone illumines all experiences. It shines by its own light.
This inner light appears to be outside and to illumine external objects.

Sorry for the late reply...

Thanks for the welcome! Esoteric Christianity is defined differently by so many people. Besant is the best known, but I feel she muddies it with Eastern concepts. I think it is best thought of as working to expreience the inner side of creation, using Kaballistic and Hermetic methods - so long as the goal is to better understand God, and better serve His people. Gareth Knigh has a great book, Experience of the Inner Worlds.

Definitions are tough, and this was probally as clear as mud.
