how could you be sure? from what i read to create one you gotta think its there and that its real, and same thing goes for the dragon the difference is tulpas are slaves to higher warlocks and magi, but if you so give it the freedom from the start I THEORISE not saying it works that it might not try to destroy you, anyways back to main question, how you know the dragon is not a tulpa you created?????

Greetings!
I am fairly certain that in order to create a tulpa it takes a certain amount of sustained willpower...whereas my dragon is something that found me at an early age (between 8 and 10). Not that creating imaginary friends is unheard of (by no means) but my dragon scared the crap out of me on a regular basis, then we became acquainted and I learned a great deal from him. Things that I wasn't necessarily aware of beforehand.... This isn't sounding too convincing is it? Hmmm.... I'm not sure that I can give you formal proof other than affadavits from friends who've met my dragon...but that could be mass hypnosis, right? As for tulpa being slaves...if it is your creation and it performs the functions it was designed to do, does that involve slavery? Not IMHO.... Isn't a tulpa a manifested thoughtform that has gotten away from control of its creator? One needs to examine the necessity of creating these things without an end date. Very irresponsible in most cases.

We have discussed artificial elementals, egregores and tulpas from a number of different angles. Bardon has a section in his first book devoted to this practice. Chaos mages extoll their virtue(s)...*sigh* The fundamental need for companionship and creation is inherent in humans...we love to make babies, dolls, statues, etc. In Tibet they call them Tulpas when they are created with the mind.
This has decidedly slid into rambling of the worse kind and I'm not helping. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/5.gif)
