Reading through, I can see that this might be a good point to clarify my question for one or two of you.
I am asking about ways of thinking.
I am not asking if something is good or bad per se, but rather how far is it useful?
It is clearly helpful to have metaphors and words that describe an area of thought or a collective group of related things, but when does this grouping no longer help, when does it start to form divisions and turn out to be something that traps the mind rather than adds to existing knowledge?
How easy is it to change your point of view once you have become entrenched in one set of beliefs with all of the associated language it uses.
I will not mind if this topic moves away from my original question quite naturally into something else as long as it is about dualistic thinking in a recognizable form.
Lastly, lets be careful about how we address other members views.
