In my dream:

It starts with me lying in a bed, people standing over me (3 relatives and a friend). Then without warning they disapear. A door to my right opens, I walk outside. The place looks like the parking lot outside my house, but there is smoke and the place glows like theres a fire but no flames. I walk down some stairs and I look and see that the parking lot was broken off where a building should be. A gust of wind picks me up and I get closer to the edge, where it broke off, and I see water. Another gust of wind picks me up and I go over the edge and wake up. What does it mean?

you forget the most important factors in dream recognition.
How did you feel when you saw everything glowing.
How did you feel when you saw that the parking lot was broken.
How did you feel when the gust of wind picked you up.
How did you feel when you got closer to the edge and saw the water.
How did you feel when you woke up.

The key is in your emotions. And also, do you feel any similar emotions in your current life. They are often tied, and can clarify things.

i can try to clarify, if you can answer the above questions, but a dream is best solved by the dreamer himself. That and you may not feel completely comfortable sharing your deepest emotions here, wich is understandable.
