Strange where one's wanderings may take you. Mine has brought me here.

First, I 'd like to extend a warm "Hello" to everyone here.

Second, I'd like to introduce myself. The name of my online persona is Beltaine. Not very creative, as I got it by looking at the calendar on my desk several years ago when I needed to come up with an internet "handle", and not really very appropriate since it's a holiday, and not really the name of a person when taken in context, but I digress. My real name is Michael, another name that, while not very creative, has the potential for a vast amount of power.

I am an internet junkie. A guru of all things computerized to some. I tend to think of myself as someone who can never have too much information. I got my first computer when I was 10 years old, and now 18 years of experience that began with that first computer leads me here. (With a little math, I've revealed my age)

So now the question is, "What does that have to do with Sacred Magick?"

Aside from the obvious cliche of "Knowledge is Power". I've also grown up with one other curiousity, that being the occult. For about 8 years now, I have studied the occult, both online and offline, and ammassed quite a collection of information. In the process, I joined a Wiccan coven practicing a truly handed down tradition. After studying for a few years under my High Priestess, I am in the process of being trained to be the coven's High Priest. I know right now, I've probably turned many of you off. That's fine, I'm well aware of all the silliness that occurs between people that walk different paths. However, I would like to redeem myself and perhaps spark some curiousity by sharing the pedigree of my coven. My High Priestess' High Priestess (confusing yet?) studied under The High Priest and High Priestess that began the tradition. That founding High Priestess studied Wicca under Gavin and Yvonne Frost, a path that is very much Wicca. The founding High Priest studied High Magick with the likes of Crowley, and Gerald Gardner. When they met, fell in love, and were wed, they began the creation of their own tradition that combined Wicca with High Magick. This is what has been handed down and is practiced today. More on that later, I was supposed to be introducing myself, and I've veered way off subject.

At any rate, I've come here after a few months of lurking because I like what I see. The people responsible for the site, and many of the members seem to be genuine, mature, and intelligent. Traits that are very hard to find online these days. So I've decided to introduce myself, and hopefully be welcomed and allowed to mingle and move into my own little corner of this community. I hope to bring knowledge others will find useful, and at the same discover knowledge from others that I can use to further my own personal growth.

I'll stop here or now, and will probably continue to lurk for just a while longer. It takes me a while to jump in with both feet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Again, greetings to all.
